Thoughts while procrastinating

If time is currency, I would be broke as. 

Do I ever feel guilty procrastinating?

No. 

I love it. Watching that 6th episode of Top Chef, cursing Padma Lakshmi every minute she is on screen gives me so much pleasure. 

Even if it is 3am during my study leave. 

The secret to not feeling guilty, is to find its educational purpose. Afterall, education is an investment of time and money. This doesn't even cost me any money, so I should actually be celebrating.

Learning technical skills from Top Chef will definitely help me become the excellent wife that I will be in the future. With this knowledge, I could be serving up a gastronomical delight* every night. Who doesn't love nitrogen-cold smoked trout, or sea salt froth on a tuna confit?

So Vanessa, happy procrastinating!

*On a serious note, I've notice that the older I get, the more I appreciate real food. Fancy food actually pisses me off a bit, and so do fancy chefs. Give me a whole chicken marinated in peri peri sauce, and I will be your girl. 

It's nearly Christmas?!

As the end if the year approaches, I start reflecting back on my year.

2014 was and still is a whirlwind, where a lot of my time was measured not in weeks or days, but deadlines, projects and milestones.

Along the way, I've missed catch ups, messages and birthdays.

But I just really wanted to say happy birthday to c. I didn't remember yesterday and I feel awful. I remembered this morning when I woke up, but is it too late to say it now?

Revisit

WHAT THE FUCK. It really creeps me out. Screw the parallel universe. There is another me on this planet.

Yep, I am talking about that girl again. That girl who dresses the same as me, shares the same interests, reads the same books. She reappeared on my radar recently. We were in the exact same outfits, wore the exact same accessories and had the same hairstyle.

We are either too plain, or just really in tune.

But either way, it still creeps me out.

It's April, nearly May. Almost 6 months since I wrote my last post here.

I'm sitting in bed, listening to Magic (still love Coldplay) and all I can think about is updating this page before I go to sleep.
