Another roadtrip in the planning?

Yes please!

Just booked accommodation in Canberra for the floriade festival later on this year. I am pumped.

Unfortunately before I booked I forgot to check when my exams will be. Should be ok. Fingers crossed.

Anyone heading to the can in sept/oct for the floriade?

Hello

Was talking to someone about going white water rafting today.

And snowboarding.

And bungee jumping.

And rolling around in those crazhee plastic balls.

If only I could pause my life, go to sleep and dream a SUPER long holiday dream where I get to do all these things, wake up, and go to work.

Lately I've been finding it hard to fall asleep and even harder to get out of bed. I lie awake in bed, it's dark. I blink, it's light.

I feel like I've been ripped off.

No rest... no dream? WHAT? NO FAIR!

Realised today, that we're more than halfway through the year. I looked back, and realised I have done a lot this past year.

Digressing completely, can I just say, that this union-leader-using-union-credit-card-for-escort-services news in the media is pissing me off. IT'S NOT NEW ANYMORE. If anything, it's OLDS, repetitive and bloody damn annoying.  He is a fool, but I don't see how this is one of the first things reported daily. Is there nothing better happening in the world?  I have so many questions.

Is Strausse-Kahn really a super powerful sexual predator, or is he just being targeted because he is wealthy and has a big name?

Why did 11 people die in a tragic housefire in QLD?

Will Bob Katter's thoughts on gay marriage change after his brother came out of the closet yesterday?

What can we do to stop earthquakes?

Kim Kardashian married a GIANT!

Why do I know more about Kim Kardashian's wedding than I do about the battle for Libya?  I feel a bit ashamed at the moment.  I will now educate myself on wikipedia.

So tired.

This post is all over the place. Exactly how I feel today. Shambles. Watching the news is draining.

A man lost his wife and his 5 kids in a fire yesterday.

Who am I to complain?

Back from the snow!

Hello friends!

I am sore. So sore. Sore from:
1. Skiing
2. Falling on my ass after attempting jumps and skate ramps
3. Sitting in the car for > 10 hours.

This weekend was by far one of the best this year. So jam-packed, condensed and exhilarating!

A bunch of us from work took the weekend off to drive down south to Mt Selwyn (easyish) snowfields to ski/board. Its a tradition I think, this trip- because I remember it happening last year.

Highlights:
- flat tire scare. Driver had never had a flat tyre before, and we were all convinced his car had a flat because it was making weird sounds. We stopped at one of the rest stops (9.30pm on a Friday night) it was pitch black and we were using my itorch to look for punctures. The driver then applied the kicking test, and proceeded to gently tap the tyre with his shoe to check for air leaks. You don't check for punctures like that.

- 10 person hotpot dinner. So much squabbling. There was so much food that we ended up having hot pot for breakfast. Ahaha !

- goofing around in the "skate park" with the snow mounds and ramps. Zomg, epic fun. If you haven't tried it, you have no idea. After this trip, I feel as though I want to take up skateboarding.

- got told for the first time in my life "you're too good for my class, please join the next one up"

- sitting in a civic, racing an impreza up towards Canberra on our way back. Only then did I realise how much I like speed and revving (what the hell is happening to me?).

- racing down the mountain at incredible speeds, swerving to miss the little kids :D

- and of course the great company !

Lowlight was NO RECEPTION where we stayed, but I wouldn't have had time to use my phone that much anyway.

Work again, today, uni tomorrow. Joy D: homework awaits! Birthday season beginning! Hbd to you all :D

Stay safe, stay calm and go to the snow if you have time

Just thinking

Today my mind wandered off a bit. I couldn't help but think about how different my life would be if I didn't stop going to church. I mean, it's not like I've completely derailed off my life plan or anything, but my values and beliefs are so different to what they used to be.

Maybe it's uni.

Maybe it's work.

I'm also thinking about holding off my hk trip at the end of this year (I keep changing my mind bcos people keep coming up with better ideas) so I can go to the US after K finishes her HSC.

Ugh time flies. Can't believe it's her turn already.

And after my graduation, I'm gonna hit up Europe.

And after that, I'll decide what I want for the rest of my life.

Digressing completely, I tried talking to a buff coworker last week about the zyzz and I got nothing but a blank expression for a response. They think I'm weird now D: I swear I saw it on smh though!!

What the cheap?

I've decided that one day I should either:

  1. I learn to read Korean
  2. I go to Korea.

I've been logged into Gmarket.co.kr for the longest time this morning. Er, so many cardigans in the cardi section. So many colours. So many types. ZOMG. SO MUCH KOREAN.  I've been using google translate to find out what colours look like in korean (but I have given up, because I've discovered they don't use blue, or red, but navy and crimson argh).  The korean is in jpeg format, so I can't paste that into translate... how frustrating, yeah?

So far I have 2 items in my shopping cart - I don't care what the colour is, I'm up for a surprise. It just takes too much effort to decipher Korean.  [[Actually, I think all this frustration stems from a conversation I had with my friend from Singapore about Sydney's lack of shops compared to Sg, and how expensive shipping is etcetc. Ah well. If this is one of my biggest problems at the mo, I guess I'm living the good life. Think of all the poor asians living in Africa. ]]

I actually woke up early this morning to finish my presentation for claw class. zzz Spent about 15mins flipping through the Corps Act and gave up. Luckily I'm almost finished.

Hooray for this antisocial weekend. I have got lots of hw done.

Excited for the snoooow, snoooow snowwwwwww.  I'm gonna be saying this for the next few weeks.

Hope you all had a super weekend!

PS. Stockings/leggings are less than $1 a pair on gmarket? DDDD:

Sydney's my city!

I love Martin Place.  I also love the gazillion little cupcake shops that opened up nearby (I especially love the dulce de leche cupcake from ghemez MM-MMM!)

dulce de leche & expresso

Won't be in the city for the next few weeks (except on Tuesdays for uni).  Sad :( I love being in the city. Oh well, I shall fight these sorrowful feelings with Sofra's shish kebabs. Yes. I will be in Auburn for the next month, if anyone needs me.

EXCEPT next weekend. From Friday - Sunday I'll be at Mt Selwyn, snowboarding.

Let's see how that goes.

I feel a bit wimpy, so maybe I'll just ski.

LOL MY DAD IS FACEBOOK STALKING

I just got up out of my chair to go to bed. I turned and saw him clicking through his friends albums.

Found it!!

After work, I sprinted to Bon Bon (QVB) and got my choc coated coffee beans. Then I passed Darrell Lea and couldn't stop myself.

If you dislike cocoa, go for Darrell Lea, because it's more sweet.

So good. I'm not gonna be able to fall asleep tonight.

Chocolate coated coffee beans

Can someone tell me where I can find these?

Catch up

Hello. Long time no blog.

Apologies for I have been as busy as heck since work hit peak season.

Hope you're all well (hopefully I've had a chance to catch up over the break- I did manage to see lots of people during my non existent sem break). I can say the worst has passed for me, and hopefully things start looking up at work.

Life wise, I've done a couple more things since my last post. Ive bought a full size cake for no reason other than to 'celebrate togetherness' with the fam just cos that cake looked so good at the shop.

Dot point might be easier:

- attended my first 21st birthday party (as in, my friends' party)
- finally started appreciating wine
- probably went up a size
- probably fined in a carpark
- had sushi for breakfast, dinner and lunch

Zzz what I'm saying, is I haven't been up to much, except getting smashed at work.

Hope you guys have a lovely semester ahead of you (I'm on top of studies though, readings- check, hw- check, self study qu- check) I'm determined to not almost- fail these subjects.

Ps RIP zyzz
