Fujiya, BBQ KING Firecrackers and PHILLIP RUDDOCK
Firstly, before I forget, I saw Phillip Ruddock today at Chinatown. Bahaha. He was surrounded by a crowd of people at a freaking intersection (the start of Chinatown at Market City). At first, I just noticed the crowd as I was walking towards George St. I mouthed a swear word when I had to propell through the crowd of sticky people and immediately regretted it because I saw a channel 9 camera pointed in my direction. Sixty minutes? STOP FUDGING FILMING WHERE THE BLOODY TRAFFIC LIGHTS ARE! Then I saw Phillip Ruddock. Tick. Two famous people in one week.
WHAT HAPPENED TODAY.
So earlier this morning I was ranting on about how D lost my logbook, etc- well this morning, we both took action and drove to the RTA and bought another logbook. Apparently I just fill out all the hours I did before (wth). I think that's utterly stupid. How easy would it be to fudge hours. Gaaah. $13. Which came from my wallet (wallet and purse = same thing Rohan) and I think it means NO DRINKS FOR BELLE THIS FRIDAY- which is a pity because I'll be in the city all morning and afternoon. Sigh sigh sigh.
After that, I drove to the docs to get a referral letter to some breath test clinic. I think M had some helio-something bacteria a while back. I did some research, and apparently, if it's left untreated (killed), it would cause cancer. So I suggested we all get tested sometime this week so that we can be cleansed asap and prevent any unnecessary death. Got there, waited for eons, came out and drove to the dentist (lol) to get a radiology referral letter for K.
D & I stopped off at home, before heading out again (yes, I drove alot today) to yumcha. Waited for another couple of eons before a table was finally offered to us. Ate $40 worth of food. What the hell. So expensive. I swear I didn't eat that much. T_T;
After that we went home, chilled for a bit, then drove M to Thornleigh and drove out to city with D &K. Yes. I drove even more. :D By then it was about 5ish and traffic into the city was a breeze. Got there in no time. Geez. I should use bullet points or something. This sounds so disjointed.
- Walked to Ichiban Boshi
- Found out they were having repairs and won't be open until Friday (or something)
- D&K&I had a little debate about where we should go for dinner. K suggested Kinokuniya (yes, I'm serious. D said Gumshara, and I suggested Fujiya)
- We went to Fujiya (after much persuasion) and we didn't regret it at all. All the tense frustration and irritation was stripped from our bodies once we walked into the extremely tiny front door. Why? Because looks are deceiving. The outside of Fujiya (the place above Delafrance on George) looks shabby, but the interior is a different story. It was so spacious and awesome. So serene. It was really quiet when we got there.
When my internet connection improves, I'll upload my CNY video onto youtube to show you how freaking awesome firecrackers are. I did that last year and triggered this HUGE martial art discussion between martial arty people. Great fun.
After it finished, they got a huge round of applause and we got the car and drove to Thornleigh before going home. I DROVE SO MUCH. SO HAPPY.

fml
I NO LONGER HAVE ANY EVIDENCE THAT I DROVE APPROXIMATELY 60 GENUINE HOURS.
Why? D wanted to keep my logbook "safe" during the hols so he put it in the house- AND NOW IT'S GONE.
Those were seriously some of the most painstaking hours of my life. PLUS MORE actually. T_T; I'm sure I had about 20 hours of "learning" hours D didn't count because he was teaching me to park.
DAMNIT. If it were 2 years ago, I would have already gotten my Ps. Eff you RTA.
Shall visit RTA today and fish out $X.XX or $XX.XX to get a new one- and possibly start from scratch.
I'm hoping for some good news from the RTA people telling me I can just forget about those 60 or so hours, but seriously, as if.
Gonna drive there now. T_T;
PS Guise, the Twilight Parade is on today, and NO IT IS NOT ABOUT TWILIGHT (in bold just incase you think it's about Edward Cullen *shudder*). My boss, my workmates and some friends will know that I've been keen to see this parade which is happening tonight. CLICK HERE to see what I'm talking about.
It's like the mardis gras but the gay are replaced by chinese decked out in funky clothes.
The parade starts at TOWN HALL and finishes in CHINATOWN and there will be FIREWORKS in Cockle Bay. So if you have free time tonight and want to come GIMME A SHOUT (in this case, over the phone please) and join us (miss weenie and I) for a very, very interesting night filled with RED, CHINESE, and starved acrobat kids from China who wear red.
OMG EXCITED. :)

Empty
I walked into an empty meeting room today. For almost a week now, i've been one of the first to arrive at work in homebush, and i've just been coming on time-ish. But I guess That's due to the fact they stay so late at night. Bah humbug. Work awaits. I shall tell my story about me running into natalie tran another day.

The hours
I can't believe I can't fine time to blog nowaday. Yesterday, our team had to work late, so I got home late, didn't get to watch some good t. As a result of being super tired, I fell asleep on the couch before it was even ten. Man, back in high school, I remember ten was the time I had to go start my homework. Oh how things have changed drastically. Atm, i'm on a train to the office so a techie can fix my laptop :) but then zooming back to work asap, in homebush west. I learnt that domaynne and harvey are owned by the same people! But I digress, my eyes feel like rocks in my head after staring at the monitor all of yesterday. Wish me all the best for day 2.
ps. I suspect i'll be working late today, so I might miss a dinner with friends :(

Morning post
Hello and good morning, i'm currently aboard the 7.27Am train to the city feeling extremely content because I saw billy and joanne on the way to the station. valentines assembly is on today, I wish I didn't have to miss it because of work :( anypoos. Did anyone listen to morning radio this morning? I felt like a victim of the media. The issue was surrounding the many asians who get tutoring in primary school in prep for the selective school's test. Ross cameron came on to talk about how this is due to asian parents being highly motivational, etc but he's missing the point I think. University courses are not easy to get into and to get the best education you stick with quality private or selective schools. This is a merry post, it's early in the morning and I'm too busy feeling disgusted at the person picking their nose beside me :( righteo. All in all I don't think selective schools are unfair in their selection of students from an academic performance. Soup grapes.

Casualty
There was a primary school kid lying on the side of road. If I had more time I would have stopped the car to see that was happening, but I've Become one of those horrid peak hour traffic commuters who are always in a rush :(

Day One for FUN
Was it fun? Was it?
I came home- treated blisters, ate a bit, and fell asleep. Later, I decided to figure out how to use Lotus and other things on the new Dell (yes. Dell. at least it's aesthetically appealing). I had 73 unread emails. So I spent ages filtering through everything, and discovered I have client work after my official cadet training. Woop. At West Homebush- and apparently I'm allowed to take a taxi (on the firm ;) from Strathfield.. or something like that.
Unfortunately for me, I have a fear of entering taxis. I blame my parents for renting The Bone Collector back when I was wee lass.
BUT I AM TIRED> And so I will sleep. (unlike last night. I couldn't sleep and ended up watching Homeless to Harvard which is supposed to be an inspirational story, but just made me feel crap about myself.)
Hope day 2 will be less intense. 8) I'll keep you guys posted.
