Digging your own grave

Allow me to vent my spleen in this short post.  I hate it when people take credit for what I do. I hate it even more when people make the whole situation BAD when it was a-ok from the very beginning.

DEAR X, you despicable little human,

I'd like to thank you for the following things:

  • claiming credit which isn't yours
  • "taking care" of the situation and making it worse
  • making an embarassment of yourself (ie. have you no shame? do you ever think before you talk?)
  • making an embarassment of the people who work WITH you (i.e. have you no shame? do you ever think before you talk?)
  • giving the place you work for, a very bad reputation
The best thing, is that you don't know you're digging your own grave. People are finally realising you're all talk.  I can't wait to watch the rest of the show.

TNT, whatever that stands for.

Let's eat Grandma

BING!

  • I have holes in my earlobes now.
  • I had yumcha three fricking days in a row :D
  • I can't feel my foot because I've been sitting on it for two long
  • I am obsessed with antiseptic
  • Yumcha for two costed $38 today. I can't get over it. INFLATION?
  • Payrise
  • Cake!
  • Pins and needles !
  • RING DING DONG & YOGEUN! Hello Baby & We Got Married

Due to the high level of procrastination today, I've done NOTHING in terms of preparing for my b.stats exam tomorrow, and everything to do with fbphoto stalking, blog stalking, HELLO BABY-ing with shinee (WOOHOO YOGEUN), and yumcha-ing with M at Ewood.

It is less than 9 hours until my exam starts and I'm starting to panic a little.

I've come to a resolution. I will sleep after this, wake early tomorrow and study on the train. ;D No point in doing it now when I probably won't remember a thing tomorrow.

Punctuation saves lives. Let's eat, Grandma.

I love facebook.

Food, fireworks, surprises and more!

So, it's been a few days. I read Bosco's comment to my last post, and yes, actually, I didn't realised I blogged so much about work. Completely dominates my life.  Today, I shall brush that aside, as this coming week, it will be filled with food, exams, and NO WORK (except on Tuesday).

Lately, I have been using my camera a lot more. The only reason I don't bring out my camera as much nowadays is because my parents have an issue with me taking photos of food.  Another is the fact that I no longer go to places where food looks/tastes spectacular.  The last time I had exciting food before Medball was my visit to the Chef's Gallery. That was a good month ago. Sad sad days.  These days when I'm running between uni, work and home, I can only find time to scoff down a cheeseburger, chips and coke from the Maccas near the tower building :(

But anyway, feast your eyes on these!

Medball- 11/09/10 @ Harbour's Edge, Darling Harbour

Entree: Scallops and a carrot puree with an interesting combination of herbs on top

Main: Chicken which was tough on the outside, but had pleasantly tender innards.

Other main: Salmon with wide array of herbs on top

Dessert: chocolatey tart with crunchy delectable bits inside + a scoop of fake vanilla icecream.

I have to say I was quite impressed with the food they had at the med ball.  My favourite would be the entree because a) I love seafood, b) the scallop tasted slightly smoky, and I love smoky seafood, c) the herby things on top were such a ka-POW combination, and d) the carrot puree was so soft and delicate and nice and well :/ it was just the perfect combination of food on one plate :)  Second favourite would be the tart, because there were really nice crunchy bits in the middle. I still don't know what they are.  Chicken was soso, and salmon was nono. I hate cooked salmon. so fishy D:

Skip a few weeks, on Friday, Borbs, Rohan and I ate at Pho Sam in the Epping Genesis building.  I had never been before, and we all felt like Vietnamese. I ordered a beef pho, Borbs- spring roll & noodles, and Rohan- something chicken & noodles (see below).

nice pose guys :)

Rohan's colourful dish. I loved looking at this :D

Beef pho doesn't look very interesting so there are no photos.  The soup base tasted very msg-y and the noodles had a strange texture. Like the rice noodles you get in the oily bags at the asian grocery store?  The ones that have tonnes of artificial preservatives in it to make it look extremely white and ugh.   Rohan's & Bosco's dishes were pretty good- but a bit too spicy for me.  I will go again, because it is nice and close and the price is reasonably cheap :)

On Saturday, after studying Marketing for a bit, I decided to head out and attend the fete at Carlingford West Public which is held once every two years.  The school still feels very big to me, and I still got lost when I was looking for the food area.  I lined up for 30 mins to order a strawberry + vanilla icecream crepe, and endured so much torture from a little fat girl infront of me.  She is such a terror.  The butterfly facepaint on her face was so misleading because she was NO angelic saint, but a freaking demonic beast who wouldn't stop chucking a tantrum at her mother.  Her mother was not the real victim, because that little fart kept elbowing me in the abdomen and stomping on my feet.

I glared at her, and she glared back. I haven't felt so furious in such a long time.

I am still quite annoyed - and I feel like listing all the things she did which offended me:
  • Talk at 4000000trillion decibels loud Screamed at everyone. I mean seriously, for someone at my waist height, she had one hell of a voice. She made me want to hurl abuse and karate chop her neck to break her voice box.
  • Elbowed me
  • Stomped on my feet
  • Glared at me (wthhhhh)
  • She kept barging around, using her inflated torso to push other people around
  • SHE WIPED HER HAND ON MY LIGHT GREY TRENCH AFTER WIPING HER FILTHY ICECREAMED MOUTH OHMYGOODNESS ME I HAD JUST WASHED THAT.
Yes. These may seem trivial, but if these things all happened to you over a duration of 30 mins, I'm sure it would drive you crazy too.

Little beasts like these should be DISCIPLINED.  Bring on the feather dusters with bamboo canes.

Just kidding.  I love kids.  All except this one.

ANYWAY, here is some people love from the night!

S, A, B, C

hehe upsidedown. Sorry REX & EDWARD! You guys got cut out. When I get some spare time, I'll photoshop you guys back into this one :D

And finally, today.  Woke up to my dad mowing the lawn.  Drove to Cabra for their moon festival festivities.  Finding parking was so hard- next year I'll have to take the train here methinks.  I was asked to join a food eating competition but had to decline thanks to our 2 hour parking limitations. zzz M, D and I ate at our favourite/usual place, Pho Tau Bay, which by the way won NOODLE PLACE of the year, or something like that :D  I am feeling extremely proud to know that my tastebuds have been indulging in such quality for the past 19 years. :)

Mekong Panthers. lol

Chips on a stick!

Due to parking restrictions, I did not have time to line up for this stand! WHY WHY WHY! Can someone tell me when they see this stall set up somewhere else? I really want to try it. It looks pretty awesome.  Basically just a spiral of potato, on a stick. It's coated in some seasoning and fried and then coated in another layer of seasoning.  Such a good idea. I think it was $5 a stick.

ANYWAY, before I hop off and go study, thanks to everyone for the kind & nice words today. I got a few phonecalls/texts from numbers which aren't saved on my phone- SO FORGIVE ME, I don't know who you are.  I tried DESPERATELY to recognise your voices on the phone, and was far too embarassed to ask you who are D:  I shall investigate and thank you properly when I find out ;D

Hope you all have a lovely week!

PS. Lunch with me Wed, Thurs and Friday?  Gimme a call or text, preferably with names to avoid embarassment on my half please. :(

LOVE YOU ALL!

Define auditor.

Lots of you ask me what I do at work. I audit.  What are auditors?

Good question. The answer is here.

Auditors are a species of nomadic mammals who came to Earth from the planet Debitor in the 1960s. Auditors are paperivores and hunt in packs known as audit teams. Each audit team is part of a bigger tribe. There is much tribal rivalry and situations are subject to change as large tribes seek to exterminate one another, but at the time of going to press, the ruling tribe in the audit world was PWC (Pricks With Calculators).

Ahaha!

sudden realisations, TVB "SUPERSTARS", green tea and more!

At a time where all I should be focussing on is why powerful organisations should be feared and/or welcomed in society, I cannot stop thinking about spiders that are lurking in my room.

Yes. I have not been living in my room for a LONG time.  Usually I come in here twice a day- first to pull my giant workcoat out of the wardrobe before I leave and the second time to put my coat back in the wardrobe.  I have been camping out in the living room, often watching tvb series or reading Penguin Classics before I drift off to sleep.

Tonight, I am armed with Kopiko sweets and a cup of chamomile tea- prepared to stay up the whole night to collate my stats group assignment and ofc to finish off my management essay.

Okay. I just took a sip of Chamomile tea and it tastes disgusting.  I should just stick to good old green tea.  My supply is running low.

Some of you have been asking me what I want for my birthday, may I suggest a pack of green tea?  It is enriched with anti-oxidants and clears the toxins in your body making your skin free from impurities.  It also tastes good and cleanses the palate after eating.

But yeah, these days, all I REALLY want is more time- an extra hour at night, and extra weekend, one less workday? Days pass by so quickly and I am reaching 19. So many things I haven't done yet! Nooo. My post-HSC to-do list has not been finished yet :(  Someone gimme more time, a day or two to just relax (don't do it!! hehe Frankie ♥) and I'll be happy.

Speaking of happy, I'm pretty happy with the efficiency of photo uploads on facebook. THUNK YEW JERO8 for posting up photos from Medball. :D  I can honestly say I did not pay any attention to what the MCs were saying (psshh chucking us at the end of an extremely curvey oblong room will not help get our attention either),a nd I do not know who won the best dressed girl/guy/couple were. But oh well. We should just have a night where everyone dresses up just to take photos and have a good time posing. :)  *smoulder*

ANYWAY- today, D, M and I trekked from Wentworth Park to Sussex Centre to check out some stars of my FAVOURITE CHANNEL EVUR.  Bumped into the CEO of jade tvb and had a casual chat. He asked for my number and ofc I gave it to him.

Bahaha. Hehe. He used to work with D, and we were family friends and we haven't seen each other in yonks and he asked for our new number because we didn't give it to him when we moved away from our old place.  Anyway, I'm hoping he'll actually USE our number so I can get front row tix to STEVEN MA or RON NG when they come to Australia.  According to the asia syd beauty pageant website- Steven Ma was in Sydney earlier this year.  I'm so devo. If I knew before hand, I WOULD HAVE FRIGGIN COMPETED. Just kidding. I would have at least bought tickets to the final showdown.

DAMNIT.

M&D said hi to Joe Ma, Susanna Kwan and Michael Tse at Sussex Centre today when I was group-working in the library :(

If you are interested in photos of the tops of celebrities' heads, feel free to contact me. I have like a billion other photos of their hair/hats/backs. :(

P.S. In 10 years time I want to be in HK working for the ICAC kicking butts. CORRUPTION? BAM- CORRUPTION GONE.

O FORTUNA

Hi all,

Hope you're all recovering from lasertag, steak, nudity in sci-revue and hangovers from medball.

I found this so funny.

I shall finish my assignment/statistics essay now.  Sadface.

Pictures of lovely ladies for your viewing pleasure :

half a month after my last post...

  • i have still not applied for a debit mastercard
  • i am still skipping my mgmt lectures
  • i am still as busy as ever
BUT, it's been a good few weeks. Work hasn't been such a bumpy road as we're moving out of busy season.

Uni has been enjoyable :) with the exception of group assignments, and posters.

The only bummer at this point, I guess is that everyone has decided to do so much this weekend.  I have an essay due Monday and assignment due Tuesday and it is Friday night and I only have about 200 words typed up in microsoft word. At the same time I'm listening to my lecture online- trying to catchup on what I've missed out over the last 6 weeks in management.

Lousiest subject ever.  Not really. I just don't like my tutor. She's such a crazy lady. Highly opinionated, stubborn and really doesn't like the sound of other people's voices.

ANYWAY, just a quick shout out to Chris Au- who is back from Europe!!  Thanks very muchos for the TWO postcards :)  I looked in my letterbox after work and FOUND THE SECOND POSTCARD :D Freaking awesome. I'll take a photo and show you all one day- his postcards are PACKED to the edges with tiny writing and it's just so ... I dunno, fun to read? ;D I love postcards.

Dumdidum.  Gotta keep bashing out numbers for the assignment tomorrow morning. Essay will have to wait. It is 12.30 and I really regret not realising my essay is due on Monday, earlier.  Why do I even have a diary if I don't check it?  Hope you're all well and don't have your power cut off by trees falling on powerlines/fuse-boxy things.
