Ramen Adven.

This long weekend has passed by so quickly. I still remember walking out of work on Friday feeling free and happy. Cannot believe I am in work mode again. :( Don't want to go back tomorrow. Nooo 6.15ams noooo.

Moving along... what was I going to say.. righto YES! RAMEN ADVENTURE.

Bahaha. I wish I read those comments earlier because I visited Menya just this past Saturday! Is there any place in particular anyone wants to try? I'm not sure if Menya on Hay St has finished renovating yet, but I'm looking forward to going there, since it's so close to Central 8)

Some places I can think of at the top of my head:

  • Menya (Town Hall)
  • Menya (Central)
  • Gumshara
  • Ichiban Boshi
  • Ramen Kan (on Hay St)- this place has generally had good reviews so it's a place I'll definitely check out
  • Ajisen Ramen (World Square/opposite Paddys)- I'm a bit reluctant to walk into this place because I can't say I was exactly fond of it when I had it overseas.  They also sell instant (ish) ramen noodles in asian groceries and I didn't love them because the noodles clumped together and it feld like I was eating a noodle cake. :/ Has anyone had this in Sydney?
  • Takeru
  • Makoto (World Square/Chatswood)
:) Dumdidum. Tell me what you think :)

Just the day for vulgarity

Good morning and hello to you all. Today i've decided to blog on the train because I haven't done it in a while, and I miss Blogging :) anyway, this morning after having fun chatting with Mawson on the train, I got lost in broadway. According to today, I can't tell the difference between my left and right. Story of my life. I swear, this h not the first time it's happened. Lol. After much frustration and swearing over not being able to flag down a taxi I finally arrived sweaty and tired from sprinting for ten minutes. When I opened the question booklet, my mind yelled "DUCK" with a capital F and lots of 'u's in between. The question I thought was least likely to be in the exam was question one. Wow. But overall it was not that bad. I got my first myzone ticket today. Red. How lovely :) cannot wait until I get home today. I made a to do list and at the top I have written "check location of exam site and how to get there. Go to street they and virtually walk through all the roads to get there."

jittery

It's like I'm meeting an old friend again tomorrow.

I haven't had an exam since HSC last year.

:(  Or rather, foe.

Fingers crossed...

too bad it's in a shithole called Wentworth Park. I will not enjoy the walk there.

Morning squawking

Yay for 6.30 am mornings and 10.30 Bedtimes, I now feel like a kid.

This morning I got into a huge fight with my hairbrush, and resulted in tears, frustration and hair in the sink and stuck to my brush.

Oh my gosh, I hate studying. I have do many more years of studying to do too!

Four years of uni, then charter.. Getting hitched early and not working for the rest of my life doesn't sound so bad afterall :P too bad I actually like what I do at work. But it's impossible to skip the uni part. :(

Bah humbug. I need breakfast +_+

Biggest baffoon ever

hi guys

(I don't quite know what's wrong with me put I posted this in my old old blog and didn't realise until I read Bosco's comment. Humdiho)

Long time no post. I've finally figured out how to blog using my iPod touch. don't know why it actually took me so long. I don't really have that much to talk about nowadays because I feel like nothing is is ever up except work, uni and facebook :P

There is an occassional meetup with the girls when they're all free and these are usually the highlights of the week. Or even month...

My food adventure has not progressed much at all as I find bringing lunch us more satisfying for my bank account as I now spend so much on my work wardrobe D: speaking of work clothes, last night I left the iron on my favourite blouse for too long and now it feels like cardboard. I am truly heartbroken.

There are a couple of spiffy cafes and restaurants that I want to try out, except I haven't found the right people to go with. :( this includes the infamous Jet's cafe at the QVB. Last week Rohan, Winnie and I went to World Square Pub for their $5 all you can eat BBQ dinner. Quality? Not really but the salad dressing was nice and sour. The fun bit was teaming up with Weenz to tease the not so sober Rohan.

A couple of days before that, a group of us visited the reopened Ichiban Boshi. I remembered they were closed for ages, but when I went this time, I didn't really notice any major changes to the restaurant. I will go to Menya one day. And if I am feeling patient enough, I will eat lunch at Makoto on Pitt and Liverpool because they are always packed at lunch :(

digressing from food now, I wish I got an iPhone instead of this iPod touch. I just wish there was a camera on this device. It would make life so much more convenient :)

OMG I CANT WAIT UNTIL TS3 COMES OUT :)

Let's play the love game

Bosco's copy blog so put me off updating for a bit. It hasn't even been a week since I last blogged, but it's felt like ages for some reason.

Perhaps it's because I've had such an eventful easter break.  Just as well, cos work starts again tomorrow.  I had been work free for five entire days and for 4 of the five days, I had someone to meet with and a busy agenda to follow.  Pity I don't have any photos to post up.  My camera is still M.I.A, and I'm starting to feel a bit concerned...

My break started on Thursday.  After a relaxing day at uni, my mad rush back to the office began.  Met the ruse entourage in the lobby of the office, changed and headed off to Pavilion where we indulged in talk (alot of "omgg haven't seen you in AGES") and also a couple glasses of Purple Hazes, the drink of the day.  Thus began a long night of drinking, watching people drink and watching people throw up.  Bliss.

Our entourage trekked to King Street Wharf and at the docks, we decided to consume some Cruisers that Rohan and Buzz Lightyear bought. Free drink!  The night darkened, and lots of girls in bunny costumes started arriving.  Got lost amidst the people for a little while and bumped into a couple of childhood friends, and boarded the boat.  It was alot smaller than I imagined- MV Bella Vista.  Yes.

The boat started, and left a couple of people on dock as it had reached its "maximum capacity".  Some people hit the bar almost immediately because they had nothing else better to do (or, they were not drunk enough to have the guts to) while others just loitered around waiting for someone we knew to bump into us.  The biggest event for a few of us DID end up happening and gave us much food for thought for the night + next couple of days.

Watched people get drunk, and a bunch of second years stagger around like they were blind... people puking in the bathrooms and overboard.  It was not a pretty sight.  The night ended and I got home at half past two ish. The petrol station is a creepy place at night. It reminded me of slasher scenes in horror movies. D: I do not think I'll be doing anything like for quite a while.

A couple of hours after I went to bed- I woke up and got ready to leave the house to go to the Easter Show with the usual crew- Winnie, Lis, Sam and Cat. Got there and discovered Shiva, Rex and Tim there- what a pleasant surprise!  Visited animals, the Woolworths Dome, watched fashion parades (models were girls with big tummies from Armidale- not meaning to be really judgemental, but could they find someone who actually fit the clothes to model them ;D), and took lots of photos.

Met up with M- took her around for a bit, before meeting up with the crew again to watch some rodeo, cars and motorbikes stir up the dirt.  Then came ROBOSAURUS which was SO ENTERTAINING for like 2 minutes.  That freaking show lasted SO long and was SO repetitious it made me feel glad I bought a magazine showbag which came with 3 thick stacks of interesting gossip and pictures. Fireworks was lol.  We sat up near the back because there were close to no seats left (actually, the attendants at the bottom of the staircases wouldn't even let us up- bitches) and we didn't see most of the tall fireworks. Bahaha. But I think everyone had a good time putting on their sunglasses and taking retarded photos.  To avoid embarrassment, I will not post any up :)

So I went home on Friday a happy chappy with M on the shuttle bus (so convenient!)

I opted for a nice movie marathon on Saturday to compensate for the lack of rest accumulated over the past two days.  We watched a wide variety of Gerard Butler movies plus the Hangover (seriously- what the hell?) and Sleeping with the Enemy.  Geez. I watched this movie when I was REALLY little and I can't belive I remember almost everything.  Scared the crap outta me back then and still does. Gotta love Julia Roberts :)  Had a chat with some people crashing at Rohan's in the middle of the night and wasted some of my sleeping time (big mistake- luckily I was reminded it was daylight saving so.. waahhoo!)

On Sunday, Cheryl and I finally caught up and watched Alice in Wonderland in IMAX.  I remember going spastic when I heard the movie was being made by Tim Burton sometime last year.  It was NOT disappointing at all- and watching it in 3D for the beautiful price of $10- seriously, what a bargain.  Shopped around and bought more typo boxes (hehe- btw MAWSON, I have yours- gimme a shout when you want them back).  We had lunch at Poporo.  The last time I went there was with K, but since then they've changed the menu so dramatically.  :(

Today was the grand trip to MIZUYA - newish restaurant/karaoke bar which opened on George Street.  We had lunch there while singing to Lady Gaga. 8)  Her songs are so darn catchy. I can't say I'm a fan of her, but I like her songs enough to buy a CD.  Her album would be worth buying too, since almost every song has hit the top charts. Wow. (BTW- Justin Bieber. He's just a kid! When he gets older he might be out of a job)

Okay. post got cut short. D's taking over my comp :(

Hope you guys have a nice break/last week at uni !

BUMMEEEDD

Howdy folks,

I can't find my camera. At all. I'm positive it's in my room somewhere, but I spent ages searching for it this morning- and no result. Except my bedroom is even messier now.

Currently at uni doing my homework/reading and getting ready for Blethics. I still have > 3 hours until my tute.  Actually I'm just waiting for a phonecall from Weenie.

Today is going to be quite... yay. Haha.

But I shan't elaborate now. People around me are watching what I'm doing.

Weird.

Ahm. Yeah okay. I have nothing else to say- except my bag is really heavy today and my shoulder is SO sore from just carrying it for about 15 minutes. Damnit.

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE! Hope you have a lovely weekend!
