Whinge-free post

Hello all.

Today's post is all about catching up and showing off. Haha.  You'll see.

So. Exams finished mid November on a Saturday.  I recall blogging that day about heading to Leeanne's pad for a home cooked meal.  That was great.  The next day I was supposed to be at Jamberoo, but due to unforeseen issues, I didn't end up going. As a result, I thought it was going to be a shitty start to a bad week.

But I guess I was wrong.  I had an AWESOME three days of internal training. Ahahahaha.  Anyone who's seen me lately are sick of me talking about it.

BUT I FINALLY MET M@TT C@LDICOTT since he started work again.  Funny story (although some may think differently harhar), I walked into our training room on Monday morning and sat down with some of my cadet buddies.  There was one spare seat on our table next to me and I was just glancing at the roll to see if I should mind it for another cadet.

And then I saw his name. My eyes widened and my heart leapt for joy!  Even when I think about it now, I burst into joyous laughter. It's great. I'm so easily starstruck. I said something along the lines of "haha wouldn't it be funny if he ended up sitting right next to me?"

AND HE DID!

So that made my day.

And the day after that.

And the day after that.

Haha three days of training.

Three days being stuck on the same table.

But don't worry. I looked like I kept my cool.  I'm really good at that. Thank god for that.

(On Monday night I had dindins with S & A and had THE best time catching up. Miss you guys already !)

THEN on THURSDAY, I left the office before lunch to get to my client cruise.  At the Opera House we bump into M@TT Moran and my friend yelps "OMG ITS MATT MORAN". He turns around, shoots us a dirty and continues his conversation on his iPhone. Hilarious.  We had a super good trip on the boat.  Private boat, private waters, private catering, what more could you wish for on a Thursday afternoon?

Friday- stocktake.  New grad shadowed my stocktake.  Feels weird to be the one teaching. Felt weird because the person shadowing me was older D:  Friday night was a blur and good fun. B, R, S & I had dindins in Ewood. I have to say, we went a bit spastic. HMMM  Ended up having Pho for dinner and Homer's for dessert.  Dinners like this make my life complete.

TODAY- Westfield Kotara.

So yes. I feel like I haven't done a photo post in a while. I'm back to being snap happy with my camera phone (it's actually not too bad).

TOMORROW- my stocktake location has changed. I no longer need to go to the airport. YAY! I'll be at the Rocks to count luxury goods. Will be interesting.

THURSDAY & FRIDAY- Will be in the Hunter Valley with the rest of my division at work. Casual, lots of drinking and interesting outfits. Our theme is Aussie Christmas. Blergh. Rock up wearing tin foil. Yay for work retreats. Don't think I'll bring my laptop. I can fb on my phone :) and hopefully they'll have wifi.

Anyway. I panicked like a retard today when I couldnt find my credit card. Cancelled my card, and then found it in my camera case. Then I remembered I put it there last Thursday when I was "travelling light" for the cruise.

Sometimes I really want to slap myself. Hard.

Hope you're all having holiday funtimes

shocking

WHT

So I got off to a slow start today.

Alarm went off at 7.45

Neighbour knocked at 8am.

Rolled around in bed at 9am.

Finally got out of bed at 9.30am.

Left the house and got to South Windsor at 11am.

I spent 7 hours counting paper rolls, pallets and cartons.*

Got home at 7pm.

*Note: no lunch = poor me

Started documenting everything once I got home incase I forget to do it later.

It is now 8pm.

I took a little break just earlier and logged into fb. :( Everyone's having so much fun on holidays. I photostalked for a bit and got too jealous and went back to work.  Checked a couple of emails- nasty surprises, felt infuriated, went back to photostalking, felt even horrible than I did before and so I decided to blog.  Blogging about my day makes me feel liberated.  Too much on my mind.

I've had a pretty crap time at work since the end of my studyleave.  I mean, yes, I expected it to be bad, but not like this.  It feels like everything happened during the weeks I wasn't at work, and everything was just piling up in my inbox during my exam days. Ridiculous.  I was booked on 5 stocktakes in 5 days.  During these 5 days I would have to trek through different types of terrain:

  • Warehouses/Storerooms
  • Retail outlets
  • Chemical plants
  • Production lines
  • Sydney airport
Where?
  • Mascot
  • Kotara
  • Smithfield
  • Newcastle
  • South Windsor
Man. It sounds exciting, but there is a TONNE of follow up work to be done after each stocktake.  And travel is tiring.  I'm being a whiney pain in the ass, and I know I brought it on myself, BUT I NEED TO COMPLAIN! TO VENT! TO SMASH A VASE INTO A BILLION LITTLE SHARDS OF GLASS!

There is a senior I'm working with for.  I've never met her before, because she's based in Melbourne, but I'm so freggin' pissed at her because she's treating me like an inanimate object that will spit out the answers she needs to do her work. HONESTLY, I think she needs to go get some common sense and realise that I am just a clueless teen and I need some guidance and that not replying to my emails is not going to make me give her answers to her questions.

OK. It will take me SEVEN HOURS to travel to and from there.  It will take me THREE HOURS to do the stocktake HOW ON EARTH am I only supposed to spend 4.5 hours on the job?  You are kidding right.

Every few days for the past weeks, I've sent an email to her saying "Hi V, Hope you had a nice weekend. Would you be able to give me more info on the XXXXXXXXX stocktake on XX/XX/XX?  Cheers, B".  And I check my email everyday for a reply, and I finally got one today.

It said "It is your responsibility to get in contact with the store prior to confirm your attendance and find out when/where to be there".  No mention of what I'm counting, a phone number of the client, the client's retail name, ANYTHING.

WELL V, THANKS FOR NOTHING.

There is more, but I feel the need to bitch about another person.  The scheduler in the next division. I'll keep it simple. TAKE INTO ACCOUNT WHERE PEOPLE LIVE BEFORE BOOKING PEOPLE!  Ie. If the client is at Bankstown airport and a client at North Ryde, do not book staff that live in Ryde to work at the airport, and Bankstown folk at North Ryde. BECAUSE THERE IS SOMETHING CALLED TRAFFIC AND LACK-OF-PUBLIC-TRANSPORT. And you should also have some common sense.  I emailed her last week asking if I could do the swap and she says something along the line of "Nope. Can't help you."  So I emailed the mgr on the job asking the same thing, and she answers "Sure, I don't see a problem". She flicks an email over to scheduling and the scheduler replies with "Done."  SEE? HOW HARD WAS THAT?!  This incredibly trivial issue took FOREVER to resolve. I'm shocked.  Where is the efficiency?  I can't imagine what audit would have been like 20 years ago without the internet.

Anyway. Enough bitching. Some planning now.

I'm considering cancelling my overseas trip. It is NOT too late because we haven't got tickets yet, or organised accom yet. Phew. Why? Because I have plans to buy a car!
A what?
A CAR!
WHY?

It will make my life a hell lot easier. Esp when I need to get to places like South Windsor and Kotara.  And I'll be visiting HK in October anyway :) for my cousin's wedding.  Seriously can't wait.  If I end up staying in Aus for xmas, I can go to Qld for some rollercoaster fun and drive down to Melb on a weekend to see the Aussie Opens. :O :O :O

That is, when I learn the rules of tennis and buy a bottle of sunscreen first.

Anyway. Hope you guys have a lovely week.  I hope my trip to Kotara will be an enjoyable one.

last day goodness

A good view

good food

good company

cheers to a great night!

So today was day of my last exam. Went okay I think. There was a massive list of C's in the second column and I double-triple, no, I just checked a billion times to make sure I hadn't made a stupid mistake.  After the exam, uni friends and I went to celebrate (because we finished early, and we all had the same number of Cs in the 2nd column). I was shown how to use a pokies machine and we grabbed some late lunch with the winnings (luckiest guy I have ever met).

--

Made the trek to Leeanne's pad to meet the others for a stay-in dinner. Had such a good time. Wish D wasn't so anal about sleepovers :(  But ugh, I can't sleep. Sharon made coffee jellies.

Seriously gotta do this more often.

Gonna try and catch some zzz's. Long trek to Holsworthy in 4 hours. =_=;  (but it's gonna make this the best weekend ever)  Hope you all have a lovely Sunday!

PS. Harhar someone (B2) got super smashed tonight. Apparently the boys had a stay-in night too; mixin' those drinks. Don't kill your livers kids!

i do wonder..

Holy crap?

Today M asked if I could burn my SHINee, SNSD and SuJu mvs onto a dvd so she can watch it when she's bored. Hahahhaa ;D

In other news, I have officially moved onto the floor. Literally. I have too much junk to study for management, it doesn't fit on my desk.  AND I haven't been out the entire day so I'm still in my PJs. HAHA feels great. I wish I could do this more often.

YAY I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL TOMORROW at 4PM! WHEN MY EXAM IS le DONE.  Then I'm gonna EAT EAT EAT to my heart's content. And I'm gonna watch JACKASS then I'm gonna eat SUMMORE (and properly. I've been living off teevee snacks (mm chocolate coated malt sticks), muffins and all sorts of sustenance-y foods).

Hm. Back tracking a little bit, I'm curious as to where you guys see yourself in 10 years :D (yesterday's post). LET ME KNOW! And I'll save/record it somewhere and we can catch up in 10 years and see if we're sticking to our plan X)

*edit* err apparently Hilary Duff is married. WHAT THE HELL. Not long ago she was just Lizzie Maguire D:  (This is a good example of what I was talking about yesterday).

ahh.. i get it

So, when I got home today, M was talking about seeing an old friend at the shopping centre today.  They didn't chat, because M wasn't sure whether it was her,  because X was carrying a baby (and X is like >60). But then we remembered X has a daughter.   It's probably (and most likely hers).  She's married. My parents went to the wedding earlier this year. About six months ago.

Haha. Yes. There was awkward laughter around the dining table for a bit, but it stopped very abruptly with D saying "That had better not happen" with a finger pointed at me.

I thought it was very funny so I kept laughing, but he was so serious it was kinda scary.  So I just "Yes Dad"ed him and then he started talking about our lives in 10 years time.

I think he wants to be retired in 10 years (a bit young I think, he won't even qualify for a pension..) and that freaked me out a little, because I'm sure we still have 15 or so years on the mortgage (though hopefully it won't take that long).  In ten years time, he sees me and my future husband earning big bucks while he and M look after my kids at home. HAHA. And that got me thinking..

HOLY SHIT I HAVE A LOT TO DO IN THESE 10 YEARS.  All of a sudden, 10 years doesn't seem so long.  Between now and then I have to:

  • pass my management exam on saturday
  • graduate from uni
  • do my CA
  • resign and find another higher paying job
  • house hunt
  • buy house
Man, that's so much.  Oh and not forgetting to wedge the following in there:
  • gotta somehow summon my inner siren and get a steady bf
  • get ENGAGED (for those who remember, I'd like to share a giggle with you right now)
  • get married
  • contemplate kids
OH MY GOSH IS THAT NOT MIND BLOWING ITS FREAKING ME OUT NOW.

10 years to grow up is seriously not enough. I really have wasted time during the last 19 years.

Haha. I just lose track of time somehow. Time flies. It's crazy.

Anyway, guess who's gonna be an ugly bitch during Halloween next year..

She cracks me up.

Procrastination

It's hard to bring yourself to study for an open book exam.

zzz
WHT:

Woke up extremely late. Kept snoozing my alarm from 8 until 10.30.  Tried to do a past paper without looking at my textbook. Failed. Gave up and made breakfast.  Somehow that dragged on into lunch. My day's been a blur, I feel like I have not woken up at all.

I guess the reason for this is my new sleeping pattern. Sleeping and waking late. Bad habit. I can't believe I fell into it again.

After lunch, I headed into the office for a meeting - and I missed the cheap tickets lady. I hate how she's only available on certain days between certain times. Incredibly annoying. They should set up an online system where you can pay via bank, and let them deliver it to our pigeon holes.

At the beginning of the meeting, we had introductions to the team.  The partner on the team, M was like "who's this" while pointing to me. Ugh. I've been on her team THREE times before. I've met partners at grad lunches and dinners and they have excellent memories. All the ones I work with are reaaally rusty.  But at least they do their job well.

For the first time in a long time there was someone younger than me at the meeting !  J, a yr 10 work experience kid. We conversed, and I wondered why there seemed to be quite a huge distance in terms of maturity when I compared to her K. Since SC finished, K hasn't gone back to school ^o) despite there being at least a month to go. Lame. My parents made me go to school the day after formal D: But at least she was concerned about her study during school cert.

After reading this, I feel tempted to experiment with pumpkin.  I've never been a fan because of how mushy it is, and the texture is just.. EUGH.  Lately I've been sort of "open to experimentation", and tasted eggplant (and liked it), trying to get over my intolerance to spice or pepper.

I will never be able to get over the disgusting taste of capsicum though. Onions, garlic and ginger, maybe I'll feel comfortable eating one day, but NOT CAPSICUM. Gross.  But yeah. I'm trying to boost my chili tolerance because I want to be able to go to Korea without starving to death.  After I finish the pack of frozen wedges in the freezer, I'll start to eat healthy. Hawhaw. Should be soon because my sour cream will go off in about a week or so.

Photos to share:

Food fair- good catch up with bestie :D

And cupcakes

And lastly, I was doing a little clean up and found some books I've read/bought/received as gifts this year. I only read on the train so yeah. This means I spend alot of time on trains.  Currently reading Eat, Pray, Love, which isn't TOO bad. I'm still contemplating whether I want to see the movie. I love Julia Roberts though. Maybe I will.

Can you see the playbook wedged between lolita and amazing grace? HAHA! SO many school kids were reading over my shoulder on trainrides when I was reading that book.  Can't believe my face looks so tired.

Anyway, I'm going to go and photostalk someone who accepted my friend request on FB. Ok. Back from that. There wasn't anything peculiar about her photos. She's spastic and crazeee IRL, so yeaah her fb looked pretty normal.  It's the quiet ones at work which have the most interesting photos :D

ANYWAY!! I'm gonna study forealz and get more than a pass for stats (HURRAH! We got a good mark for our assignment)

Have a lovely Thursday onwards week!

deva got the skillz

Hello all,

I have come back from picking up K from her formal.  Haha, when we took her there at the beginning of the night, all these yr 10 kids shoved their cameras at me for the group photo. Brings back memories. Not used to being on the other side of the camera ;D  Anyway, halfway through, I hear a bunch of people calling my name. I turn around and see Winnie, Leeanne, Ally, Deva and Bryan in his car. :D

Long story short, I had dinner with them at cafe de HK. We learned that their pastas are weird, and that Deva has the skillz to win a toy from the skill tester!  Woohoo. It's the second time I've seen someone win something.  :D IT WAS AWESOME.

Anyway, I MADE MORE PURCHASES ON EBAY. One is featured below. I can't wait until it arrives.

It's actually a toilet paper dispenser. But I won't be using it in my toilet. ITS SO CUTE RIGHT?! And it looks like it's been stunned. Yay I love novelty goods.

Dumdidum. Gonna pop into the office for a meeting tomorrow and maybe i could score a few movie tickets if im early enough.

Hope you guys have a lovely week!

dampened

I was having a good day, with my first exam over I felt quite good. I did not over study, and I studied all the right areas. Haha. So damn lucky this time.

Anyway, came home and started checking my work mail. Eugh.  It's not the work, it's the people. They keep leaving!  The worst thing about working in a large corporation is the high turnover rate. I'm sure I've said this before.  I do understand people think our job is horrible during busy season, and sometimes our clients can be horribly mean, but it just sucks.

It's hard making friends with older people (most of the time), and when I finally do, THEY LEAVE D: Oh, and another cadet resigned. 14 down to 12 now.

But I'll shut up about that and talk about what I am up to after my exams.

Saturday afternoon: Management exam will finish early (fingers crossed) and a few of us will go play some pool and get a few drinks to prepare us for Paranormal Activity 2. I'm hoping to change everyone's mind with Jackass 3D, but I doubt that'll happen. :(

Saturday night: YAY night out! (thanks for delaying it!) DRESS CODE: no trackies. ;D

Sunday: slippery dips and 5m jumps and lots of lots of fun.

Monday-Wednesday: Back to work. Training- will be such a good week ;D

Thursday: Work in the morning and a client cruise from midday till dinner.  I'm not really sure how enjoyable this will be. But we'll see.

Friday: Apparently I'm supposed to be doing a stocktake? Yeaaaaah. Hopefully I can knock it over early on and head home for an early break.  And watch a movie or something. :D

THINGS I MUST DO BEFORE 2010 ENDS:

  • Watch Avatar (the blue one)
  • Go to the beach (under nice weather conditions)
  • Clean my room (will probably do that tomorrow)
  • omg jyp! (no, not really)
  • Plan 2011 :D
  • Get my hands on a SHINee 2011 calendar. D: D: D:
  • Pay my credit card bill (SAD SAD OCCASSION)
  • Christmas shopping (DAMN IM NOT GONNA BE IN SYDNEY FOR BOXING DAY SALES!)

These holidays I will quit dressing like a dag and look nice in my holidaysnaps :D

Hope you all have a lovely break/study period.

Please call me out to eat if you're going anywhere special. PLEASE CALL ME OUT TO EAT!

SPEAKING OF EAT- EXCITING NEW THING: CLICKY!

*edit* this is getting really bad.  i got an ebay package today and found that the things i bought were of SUPERB quality. i took another look at the seller's items and now i think im going to end up buying their entire shop D:

*edit* haha , after some further stalking, I take that back.  They photoshopped her LOTS on the promo posters. OMG THEY DO SO MUCH PHOTOSHOPPING ITS SO SCARY D: she has before and after photos posted up on her fb ;D ;D Yeah. I don't wish to be miss syd chinese anymore

*edit again* I know I'm being retarded, but this is getting kinda funny. I kept scrolling through her fb photos and recognised her FORMAL DRESS! Yes. I remember it stuck out like a tutu and my sister and I were like wth when we saw it ;D  She should so make her fb stuff private.  :|
