happy end of financial year!
Today, the weather in Manildra was bearable. I found it strange that it's significantly colder (2 degrees) in Orange, which is just an hours drive away. That's right. I'm living an hour away from where I'm working because the town in which I am working in, is too small and no hotel/motel/anyother store except 1 tuckshop exists on the mainroad, or any road in that town.
I'm not sure if that's the right syntax, but I am beyond caring right now.
Tomorrow will be a long day and I will NOT be looking forward to it.
WHT:
Got up, ate breakfast in my room (opted not to go to buffet- regretted that decision), spilt water on myself. I dried myself using the hair dryer but it made me late to the car where S and J were waiting so :/ oops. But I'm glad I got that dry because you have no idea how easily things turn into ice out here in the country.
The grass starts frosting over at 9pm and when you walk on sections of lawn you can feel the crushing of ice beneath your feet.
I must admit, I am enjoying this country experience. In Manildra, everyone knows each other and is really super friendly to people who aren't local (i.e. ME!). On several occassions there'd be people walking past me on the street when I cross the road- they all say hi, g'day, how're ya mate, and all those equivalent. It's so different from Sydney.
Dumdidum, after getting most of my work done (which means being annoying and pestering AP/ AR staff to get lots of paperwork), I was sent back to Orange (45 min drive) to count pallets of stock in a warehouse. After 30 mins in Orange, I had finished counting, and then I was sent back to Manildra.
When I got back into the office I said hi to S and J, and they promptly began packing up when I started to set up my laptop.
lol.
[[Urban outfitters having massive sale- $10 for an item of clothing- What the eff I just looked at it again and there is cheaper stuff than that. omg buying tights online is so much cheaper than buying from Woolies ]]
We had dinner at a woodfire pizza restaurant, but funnily enough, no one ordered a pizza. There was a seafood marinara, a fettucine bolognaise and ... a ca... ca-something. Will look it up later when I blog about Orange properly next time.
I think Orange is a good place to go for a short trip or holiday. It's really nice. Would be a better experience if you came during spring. :)
But yes. Tomorrow. 7am start at work which means I have to get up 5.30. Excellent. Within 6 hours from now D:

sleep deprived
Kill me now.
In less than 24 hours I will have to drag myself out of bed, hurl myself into the car, try to study on the train and begin the long trek to stupid Wentworth Park. Perhaps afterwards I should treat myself to oysters at the fish market :O
Feeling better already. Will tell you how that goes!
PS, I did start watching the Chile v Honduras game (1-0)- but to be honest, I found it to be quite boring...
Argentina v Korea tonight!

I have to say, I had NO confidence whatsoever about this morning's game. But that doesn't mean I didnt support the socceroos :D Funny thing was, I stayed up to watch the game, but as soon as they finished singing the national anthem, I must have fallen asleep because I remember, what felt like seconds later, it was already half time. I guess I didn't miss much. Ahh Guus, why did you leaaaaveee...
OK! Digressing. Let's talk facebook. Let's talk about going through pictures of year 8s from high school who add you on facebook, who you've NEVER heard of, let alone befriended. Do they just add anybody?! The was one thing that struck me odd. They wear leather jackets?! WHAT!
Yes. Sounds petty. But it really bugs me. Someone in year 8 has probably not even hit puberty (asian kids) yet! Within a year or two it WON'T FIT ANYMORE!
D '= <
In the future, I bet 100% I'll be one of those mothers who make their kids wear school jumpers and blazers which are at least two sizes larger.
I went through that. It's only natural I pass it on.
Ahahaha!
In response to my last post, some of you guys pointed out I should go to Ashfield for some food. Why don't you take me there? :)
Netherlands v Denmark tonight :) Can't wait. Japan v Cameroon, and Italy v Paraguay!
Anyway. Have fun studying for exams everyone! and a BIG CONGRATS TO CHRIS AU! An extremely talented pianist. When can I hear you play again :P

2-0
Yesterday was pretty good, I think. I was a bit buggered by one question which asked me to draw up a cash budget. I had skipped my tute that week and didn't do my homework. :| And obviously I didn't study that chapter, but oh well. I made something up and it looked kinda.. alright. After that, I had lunch at Kura. Seafood Yakiudon, Beef Udon, Karaage Udon, Salmon + avocado california, and soft shelled california! Yummo.
After lunch, bludged around the city for a bit, and then we had dinner at Din Tai Fung. I regret not bringing my camera- but I guess the food didn't look particularly interesting. We got 2 tiers of the xiao long baos (dragon buns?), a fried pork noodle, beef noodles, a mango pudding and black sesame icecream for dessert. Oh, and they charge for tea. The bill ended up to be just under $70. The service was good, staff were really friendly and helpful, however the prices are really pricey. The portions weren't entirely great either. :/ At least the dumplings were good? Just to sum it up, Din Tai Fung is not a place I'd go to for dinner. Perhaps supper. But definitely not dinner.
I wish I did take some photos, because it's going to be a while before I go to Din Tai Fung again. My wallet needs some time to recover. lol. I can't wait until my last exam is over so I can start reading Huck Finn :D
Enjoy your long weekend!
PS. I currently have zero plans for next weekend. Any ideas? Or is something important on that I've forgotten?

inbox shock
What the hell. I have spent that much within the last year? You must be kidding me. I haven't been seriously keeping track of any point accumulating schemes (Priceline, Qantas FF/Woolies, Flybuys, Easyway). But yes, it acted as a wake up call and I will now avoid going to Myer.

omgomgomg
Just to blabber on for a bit. Stuff at the top of my head:
Iphone
OMG IPHONE 4!! WHAT A LOVELY LOOKING THING! I'll feel like a retard if I get it though, because i have an Ipod Touch. As if bring both when going out :/
Nokia e72
Need to buy Nokia e72. It looks sturdy. And kinda cool. I think I like the qwerty keyboard. Funnily enough, I also thing the qwerty keyboard is a downside. All the keys are so SMALL!
LEAVE!
I'm officially on leave for the rest of this week, and next week! Yay! Well deserved break. Sleep in, study, nice cooked breakfast, maybe even a jog yes, as if I'd really do that. :P
Catchups:
These days, I haven't seen the group (don't know what else to call them- ie the bunch I met up with alot a month or two ago) too often, and I've been seeing Bosco and Lancy quite regularly.
Sandwiches and uni have been keeping me in touch with Borbz - funny story! On Monday, we were at Darling Harbour eating Lawson sandwiches from Ice Cube. Not far away, there was this kid chucking some bread around attracting the attention of quite a few hungry seagulls. A bit too close for comfort I'd say. To the point where a seagull tried to snatch Bosco's sandwich from his hands! Hilarious. WHAT A RUDE GULL!
Email correspondence between Lancy and I at work have kept us in touch, and we finally saw each other at uni last week! My coffee fanatic friend has taken me to to following cafes in 2 days: Charlie Lovett (so good), Starbucks and Max Brenner. It's just so nice to be able to chat for ages sitting in a warm cosy cafe when it's freezing and windy outside. :) It's even nicer when it's someone who won't get bored of me talking about work random stuff.
EXAMS!
Need to study for those. Let's have some fun on the 19th/20th June!
DRIVING!
Give me the name and number of a good instructor. I don't want to waste money doing a second driving exam :P
Pet Peeves
I've learnt that I really hate it when people shake their leg when they're sitting down. I figured this out when I was in one of my lectures where the chairs are all connected. Freaking hell. I sat through 1.5 hrs of vibration. SO badly to chop that girl's leg off >:( Another thing I really hate is retarded people on public transport who sit on the aisle side of the seat when there is no one sitting inside. Yes, shuffling in the small gap between your leg and the seat infront, wiping my butt or my bag in your face is not the most enjoyable thing in the world. Be nice, stand up and let me in, or just move in. >: ( They should install tvs on trains. And then show videos of "common courtesy in practice".
LIKING
Caramel Mocha, melted chocolate, warm weather, wall stickers, chloe- smells like nice soap, my wireless card, my credit card, my driving logbook (almost complete!), Chambord Lemonade, stockings with criss cross patterns, nice and comfortable shoes, my warm, warm blankets, gloves, MY TRENCH COAT I GOT IN SHANGHAI OMG IT IS THE BEST AT KEEPING ME WARM.
I just took out my coat today, and I wish I started wearing it earlier this week cos it was always freezing in the morning. Last time I wore it, was when I was in Canberra.
WHICH REMINDS ME I have get to talk about that. I can't even find the photos anymore :/
Last week.. or the week before I bought a cheapo camera on a whim. I keep forgetting to bring it out with me. I should though.
Anyway. Have a good time studying guys. I always enjoy exam periods :) You all know know by now. Good luck and have fun!
PS. Yesterday I learned there was a station called "Leightonfield". Today I got off there. After a bus ride, and three train trips. The Smith Family is in Villawood.
What a freakin' hole.

mess
my timetable for sem 2 really sucks.
i have to go to uni for THREE days which is just really ridiculous because i'm just taking three subjects, and they happen to fall on three different days.
it's only a problem because i'm not always in the city and it is a serious pain in the ass if i need to head out to the city from say, Auburn just for 2 hours :S
utter frustration!
is it stupid to take economics in my third sem? i'll be the oldest of the bunch, but i really want to fit 2 subjects on one day. and if i take bus stats instead of stupid economics, i have have 2 subjects on wednesday, and 1 on monday.
gaaaaah i wish i thought this out properly in the beginning of the year.
