The Ancient SLR

Is it really illegal to take photos inside retail stores? Teehee. I wanted to record the model of a specific camera so I snapped a shot- Rohan nudged me and was like. Eh that's illegal. :O

:O

Oh well. The deed was done. Too bad for them.

Yesterday night I WAS SO BORED after I came home and rested for a bit. Should have stayed at Parra for longer- D: But because I didn't, I discovered where my dad hides his SLR.

In this mangy old box. :D  ANd now- PHOTO SPAM.  Artefacts are fun

He hasn't touched it in years. It is his.. baby I guess. He probably loves it more than us.  This conversation happened yesterday- when I confronted him.

B: D! LOOK WHAT I FOUND!
*thrusts SLR in his face*
D: OH MY GOD
*grabs camera*
D: THAT IS NOT HOW YOU HOLD A CAMERA- You'll break it. PUT IT AWAY
B: Not before you teach me how to use it.
D: Never.
B: WHAT?
D: NEVER.
B: =__=;
D: Set up an ebay account for me
B: O_O ONLINE SHOPPING?!
D: No, selling the camera.

SO ITS UP FOR SALE :(

He wants it somewhere where someone will take care of it properly and not mess it up (ie, not me). I wonder what price it will go for 8-)  But yeah. It's cool. OH FORGOT TO TAKE PICS OF THE FLASH THINGY. It look's like Bosco's bro's camera's extendable flash thing. You just slot it into the top- need two giant 1.5v batteries and voila, INSTANT BLINDNESS. It's so fun.

I can't believe he's going to sell it. O_O

- Camera body
- lensy thing
- uber long lensy thing (holy crap it magnifies heaps- I was watching tv through it from the dining room!!!!)
- flashy thing.

Ahahaha. My camera jargon is awesome.

Have a good weekend everyone!!  Good luck to all the Chemistry/Physics/Eco folk!

PS One of my favourite sections of the Sat paper is SPECTRUM- awesome recs :)  movies on my To watch list: Julia and Julia (yeah lame, but I think I can relate- just kidding), An Education, Capitalismp- A love story, ♥ Time traveller's Wife (omg ♥ Bana ♥ Rachel McAdams, ♥ Audrey Niffenegger), Where the Wild Things are- der, GENOVA, Mao's last dancer, and Departures.

Halfway

2 more exams. 2 weeks to go.

Looking forward to:

  • Jap Extension dinner
  • I WANT SOME KIND OF OTHER DINNER!
  • AND OTHER ONE (just kidding)
Yeah. As you can see- not much (in the short term).

Something tragic happened yesterday. After I got home after my Bio + Jap exam (which finished at 5), I ate, watched some TV (to relax yo) and then I FELL ASLEEP AND NO ONE WOKE ME PROPERLY UNTIL 11.30 AND I WAS FREAKING OUT BY THEN BECAUSE I HAD ENGLISH EXT THIS MORNING!!!

I wasn't exactly freaking out when I first woke- I though english was in the afternoon (lol) until I was wise enough to check my calendar (thank- goodness...) and yeah. Freaked out. 9.25am. LESS THAN 12 HOURS TIME. Practically cried to myself while I was brushing my teeth- trying to wake myself up, lol, and studied until 12.45 when I couldn't take it and flopped into bed.  Dragged myself out again at 6 to continue studying, and rocked up to school feeling as stoned as evah.

I think the lack of hours studying didn't kill me (mentally). I feel like I did fine =/ hehe and the night of tv/sleep was kinda worth it.

After school (WHICH WAS SO EARLY- omg I love examtime), Janette, Sharon, Mindy, Swami (owner of swamiland) and I headed off to Parra to:
  • Look for dresses
  • Try on boots
  • Find a place to waste time because I AM SUCH A FOOL I DIDN'T BRING MY KEYS!
So, I guess it's obvious who went for what reason. Especially mine. Lol. I'm such a loser ;;D

Lunch: Seven dollar something Salmon and avo sandwich- because I WAS FEELING RICH, and I hadn't spent money on food in AGES (I lied. Sandwich + pie yesterday). No. I was just craving for salmon. mmm fish. mmm Omega 3- whatever that is.

Rohan got himself a Mexican potatoe (HAAA! They spelt it like that on their gigantic sign- EVERY SINGLE TIME, and I think I just chucked a Natalie Tran and pointed/giggled at it) spent ages eating it. Ooh. Will upload a photo of him stuffing his face. The cheese strand was never ending.. Crazy cheese (Bet it was No Frills or Home Brand or something...)

Yes. How. Er. Enticing. ;)

MEAN GIRLS :D OH HOW FUN IT IS TO LAUGH AT SUCCESSFUL GIRLS! >:)

Halloween tomorrow. Does anyone have any fun plans? 8)

Amendments

Hello all,

I would like to announce ANOTHER CHANGE in my travel plans.

Instead of going to China/HK, we'll be flying to the USA + CANADA

COS THE TICKETS ARE CHEAPER

AND NO ONE EXCEPT MY DAD"S GONE THERE BEFORE !!!

Just kidding.

My parents told me that today and I pretty much flipped out. Then they explained they were kidding (even though, I bet, if I had played it smooth, they would have gone along with it- evil parents) and I calmed down immediately.

But yes. Changes to my plan : no longer living in *mental blank* the friend's apartment.

D = king of ... another mental blank. He just hates imposing on people. So tonight he just booked 14 nights worth of hostel stay. WOOPEEEE. Freedom to do whatever (ie be noisy until 3am or whatever). On Argyle in Mong Kok .. so that'll be interesting.

Biology + Jap. Kill me now.

LIKE. RIGHT NOW. OR AT LEAST A COMA OR SOMETHING.

Just kidding.

5 more exams. *gulp*

I'M SO EXCITED

HELLO-

TODAY MATHS WAS OKAY.

I found questions 6&7 harder than the questions afterwards... but anywayyy.. Getting away from this topic-

Something super cool came in my email inbox today. :D

Future workplace sent me a department party invite. :D ITS A THEMED CRUISE! Disney! OHMYGOD :D

"Start getting excited, because this could very well be the best RCIP Christmas party this year! If you don't show up then you will be demoted*

*Note: This is an idle threat and we cannot back it up. Please do not take the threat seriously. "
I could get used to a life of work, study and party. Sounds pret-ty good right now. :D  The only downside is, I don't have any super tight friends (aka rohan) in my dept :( so yeah. :( Hopefully Ameya will quit ditching all the ey events and I will not look like a crazy loner in a weird costume.

Hmm. Costume.. what costume...
---

So, I only have 1.5 days to study for the upcoming double exam day :( Bio and Jap. Will not touch GG AT ALL- will sleep ON TIME and I will do all my past papers.. and revise grammar points. *gulp*

Good luck for 3u- math people :D Hope you all do well!

Cannot wait until the weekend. Will go out and eat :D :D hopefully not yumcha.

STUDY HARD EVERYONE! We're almost there...

P for Procrastinating

THIS MORRRNING DURING BREAKFAST,

I saw 4 lorrikeets sitting in our loquat tree eating out almost-starting-to-rot-loquat fruits. Tried to take a photo- but obviously I was too sleepy to realise it wasn't focussed at ALL. ha... :(  For those who are always asking, I'm looking out of my dining room, and the white you see between the gaps of the leaves- well, that's Mawson's place. It's sorta like the roofish part. But not exactly the roof. My lack of vocabulary is astounding.

After that, I decided to go out in the light drizzle to collect the paper and mail. MY MYERONE CARD FINALLY ARRIVED- and it was soaking wet :(

See through. So this is why guys get so excited when it rains. Just kidding.

Did the 2002 Japanese Listening task- what the hell? Why is it tonnes easier than the ones we get at school?  I am somewhat less worried about Jap now, and I'll focus on Biology. Which is a frightful 2 days away :(  Math- I'm not worried about. ITS BIOLOGYYY. Only 1 day to prep. :(

Allow me to complain.

WED- MORNING- late afternoon = EXAMS. Come home, eat little, HIT THE BOOOKS- sleep late, wake late, re-write esssay/creative-> EXAM.

Oh- my- freaking- gosh.

Yes, it is nowhere near as hectic as Trials week, but I thought HSC would be like... 1 exam per two days or something. :(

On the bright side, I'll get it over and done with quickly - phew. I have a couple of days to refocus and study eco, and lots more days to procrastinate and cram some good japanese quote for extension.  Then it will be over, I will be a free woman- content and satisfied.

***
I've been reading some HK food blogs to find all the best places to eat in HK. Despite having gazillions of relatives living there, no one ever takes me to good places for food. We had brunch every day last time we visited, at the same place. Yumcha place (ngggggh- so boring) and we ordered the same foods every single day. :( How boring. M+D said that they felt obliged to follow our cousins to brunch because... we're the guests or whatever. >:( AREN'T THE GUESTS SUPPOSED TO CHOOSE?!

So... I'm really glad we have our own flat this time. :) NO MORE BRUNCH + time wasting at stupid stupid yumcha places.

Time to eat on the street,
eat on the go,
lotsa chicken feet,
say NONONO
to herbal tea
and hairy things
called monchichi.

Yes. Monchichi is freaking ugly and haunts me in my sleep. D:

Fricking creepy looking face. And it has FRECKLES ON ITS FOREHEAD?  Geez Louise- so creepy. *shudder* I felt sick googling it.  Yes, you've found it- my weakness. I hate ugly toys that are supposed to look cute, or whatever. It's just plain creepy. Monkey? Human? OR DOG? :(

+ OIL EVERYONE!

Fact:
My sister says I have a very good Lois Griffin voice. *smug smile* Dearest Seth MacFarlane- if her voice actor dies anytime, twitter me. I'll be there.  I know the song off by heart. :D IM SO DAMN GOOD AT JINGLES!

And Nursery Rhymes- WHICH, apparently, our generation is reallyyy bad at. When I was a kid, I had this nursery rhyme sticker book and I read it like everyday :D Freaking awesome. I loved it.  The illustrations were smad. Especially for the Hey Diddlediddle one.

Today I made a list of places to visit in Shanghai with my sister.  I've been reading the Lonely Planet guides for Shanghai and HK.  These included:

  • French Concession
  • MUSEUMSS
  • Aquarium
  • Omg safari in CHINA? I bet it's really tame ==;
  • Theatre
  • Hokkaido indoor ski slope *wiggle in chair*
  • JinJiang Amusement Action Park
  • Cybermart
  • HAIR DRESSERS (hehehe)
Mostly looking forward to visiting anything related to the French Concession.. and the hair dressers. Lots cheaper. hehehehehehe.

Last time we went to China, we visited Suzhou as well. Oh my gosh. it was one of those Chinese tours that drove us around to all the shoppy places around :( If only I knew a person who grew up in Suzhou. The views were quite pretty.  The tea leaves were quite tasty. We watched a man cook tea leaves (green tea --> black tea), watched people make silk - step by step demonstration and we took lots of photos with rock carvings and waterviews :D

Hopefully this time we'll get to visit Hangzhou. Apparently they have interesting-ish night markets and eating is not bad. Must visit Louwailou Restaurant :D MOST FAMOUS IN HANGZHOU ♥ thanks lonely planet. Another place my dad suggested was "mow-seck" Wuxi.. One of my favourite TVB series- Rosy Business was set there, hehehe.  However, Rosy Business was about stuff that happened centuries ago. So Yeah. No more mud brick houses- more high rise buildings and cement roads. Woo!

Any good suggestions?

PS. Did you know GG cast date each other. :O WUT. Hehehe.

Feeling Murderous

At the moment- people who live semi-across me are freaking standing in their front yard chatting. I WANT TO GRAB A KNIFE AND CHUCK IT AT THEM!!!

Such a distraction/disturbing thought led me to believe that I am in need of a rest. So I went to Rohan's blog, and the ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION IS:

STOP WHAT YOU'RE THINKING! I'm not broke (nearly though). I REALLY LIKE THE WHITE ONES IN THIS PACKET! No other brand can provide me with such intense flavour and favourable texture. ♥ you homebrand. ;)

Wow. I have not posted a photo here in AGES.

Last week (or even before that) D came home with a huge box. I was super excited cos I thought it was a package from o/s relos. But it wasn't. However, I didn't feel too entirely disappointed becaaaauuse...

There were RED TULIP BUNNIES in the box! Along with the Cadbury bunnies (the policeman + cook- remember?). They weighed exactly the same, tasted.. the same, had the same shape, and when you took off the clothes foil, they looked EXACTLY THE FRICKING SAME! OH MY GAD. D:  I've spent my entire life telling M to buy Red Tulip easter eggs for me because they taste better and are cheaperrr... but they don't taste better? THEY SHOULD TASTE THE SAME?!

OR ARE THEY THE SAME BRAND?

SOMEONE TELL/HELP ME. I'M LOSING MY MIIIIIND OVER THIS.

Bottom line? It was yum.  I chucked 3 into Alice's care package, and I think she's afraid they're over due from easter last year or something. HAVE NO FEAR- these are the new ones made just for fitting (onto their plastic trays- D's completed project. he gets to take home bunniesss). :D

WHT-
Ate practically an entire pack of gummi bears- sugar high = no study done.  Revised Jap vocab. did maths. did bio.

:O neighbours shut up?
YESSSS  a sign for me to go and study.

HAVE FUN DOING MATH PAPERS EVERYONE :D SEE YOU TUESDAY

PS. Maybe it was just my eyes this morning... I went out to fetch the paper (I wish we had a dog. lol), AND I THINK MY NEIGHBOUR HAS A JAGUAR. I don't mean pet- I mean the purring, shiny kinda jaguar with 4 wheels. OH MY GAD.

I know jack about cars. But I saw the little jaguar leaping off the hood. :D I wanted to break it off and take it home :D

SNOOPYTOWN

HELLO EVERYONE.

I am updating again because I feel the need to make up for that silly/borderlinefangirl post about chucknblair (teehee).

Anyway. I was surfing a couple of blogs before and then I suddenly realised I've never been to freaking SNOOPY TOWN BEFORE- like EVUR even though I've lived there for over an entire year!!  PLUS There is a Uniqlo in Hk. O_O WUT. LIKE WUT.

I want to go to Snoopytown. It's in Shatin I think, and my cousin (who lives in Shatin) once told me that it's SMALL as and probably not worth going- but seriously, sif not go and take lots of photos with everyone's favourite beagle. :D I would also like to go to uniqlo as I've only ever been once- and that was a freaking fantastic time- raining in Tokyo.  I dove into the shop, bought 3 pairs of leggings and a pair of jeans- went to cafe next door and changed into it. It was raining TORRENTIALLY in japan, and my pants had completely soaked through. My goodness. So fun.  Uniqlo rocks.   NEW TOWN PLAZA Belle Must Go :D

TRIP INFO UPDATE:

So. We have an apartment in HK waiting for us now.
Kwun Tong.
OH
MY
GOD
Kwun Tong is like =) freaking awesome. The aptmt is so close to APM :D:D:D 7 storey shopping centre with LOTS of food. LOTS  LOTS AND LOTS. And they close late. :D  EXPECT TO SEE A VERY WIDE ME IN JANUARY WHEN I RETURN ♥
Wow. :) My dad knows some pretty rich people from my pov, because wth, they bought out 3 flats in their building and don't invest in it?!?!?! They leave it EMPTY!? Unfortunately these nice people are old and don't use computers, hence don't have internet I can leech off them. I was planning to upload photos taken at night everyday- nggh. Not sure I want prepaid net if I'm uploading all the time. XDXD

After my exam, I'm going hunting for some quick cash for some extra fun o/s ;) Prolly returning to old employer to beggggg. Not. She said I could come back if I wanted. Yippee

xoxo. #2

Despite the awkward moments experienced sitting in the living room watching these two fight the sexual tension, I can say these 2 people are my favourite characters on Gossip Girl.

They have the most intriguing relationship.  But yarh. This wardrobe is just utterly hilarious. Everything = Blazers. ALL IMAGINABLE COLOURS. Freaking fruity. But he's such a man. Too bad his face looks so odd.

Pause. Just wikied- WHAT THE HELL- HILLARY DUFF ON SEASON 3?! mmph. I'm not used to her playing serious roles in non-kiddie shows. D: She's still Lizzie Maguire to me. I love that show. "GOR-DO!"

Unpause.

Wait. Pause again. Relationships in tv shows are so messed up. When they start, everyone seems to have a bf/gf, but throughout the season they just swap and swap again, introduce a random when the writers suddenly realise that everyone's already dated each other at least twice...etc. It's like neighbours or something. XD  (Except Neighbours is alot worse than GG) And that made me think- actors have to swap saliva, get jiggy and do weird things ALL THE TIME.  Ew.

Yeah okay. That thought was really gross. I think I'll go back to maths. Baha.

Happy studying guys

PS. Yumcha-ed again today. And saw Cheryl outside Breadtop 8) and bought Home Brand gummi bears AGAIN. :):)

PPS. Sometimes I notice a slight resemblance between Ian Somerhalder and Chace Crawford. And I notice that Ed Westwick looks a little bit like Paul Wesley and RobPat. I think it's the eyebrows. ARRGHH.

xoxo

HELLO AND WELCOME TO THE WEEKEND.

Perhaps I didn't need to say that.

The moment the supervisor said "PENS DOWN" a wave of relief rushed through me and all of a sudden the world seemed like a not-so-bad place. It is the weekend. Friday arvo/evening/night - a time to stop and just smell the roses before hitting the books again.

Maths on Tuesday.

WHT- I am so lazy- lovin' abbreviations ;)

Woke, ate, examed, went out to eat.

Ate sitting on the table next to KANNY and she was sitting on the table next to HELENA who was sitting on a table next to HER FRIEND.. whoever they were.  That's the thing about the Village. I always spot someone I know. Pretty soon after they left (yerr we ordered twice ;), a bunch of 3 baulko I know of (who do not know me- I am pretty good at internet research ;) sat down on the table next to us and I spent my time split up evenly between shoving food into my mouth, flicking through the lovely present I got from Lucy today (THANKS!) and eavesdropping on their conversation.  Oh right, and fending off questions my dad asked about today's exams.

Right this brings me to go on, and on about how much Mod A sucked.

Mod A sucked.

/rant

After that, went home, watched the most recent ep of Vampire Diaries (the beautiful thing about HSC is that you have TIME to enjoy life between exams - unlike the hellish trials) and then er a whole season (minus 2 eps) of Gossip Girl (for the fans: season 2 btw ;)  I figured that watching more television shows would give me more ideas for stuff like creative writing. You know what's really good? Mando dramas you find in libraries about history, poverty, war or menopausal women.  Yeaaaaaah. Menopausal women. VERY interesting and hilarious to watch (on tv- not IRL ... lol) the stuff they fuss over- the way they think, it's all highly amusing. But yeaaah.

Stopped to do some study - found my lap top.

Read some blogs.

Decided to blog.

Blogging.

Damnit. After HSC I have so much to do.

Over these past few weeks, my dad has been downloading TVB dramas like a crazy maniac and GOSH I have so much I need to catch up on. They keep talking about things at dinner and I have no idea what they're going on about.  I feel... alienated. Home... Some say home is the entire Sydney, or Inner Sydney, or even Footscray (where ever the hell that is), or even a bloomin' flower.

But seriously? My home is sitting around the kitchen table with M+D+K. Even though we have our bickering... at least it's entertaining and will give us lots to talk about in the future.

B: lulz do you remember?
K: lulz yeah we were such retards and i dunno how M+D lived with it.. schloohrgghh (not a typo- in the future, there will be a new word for cool. It may not necessarily sound like this- but I picked this. It sounds like onomatopaeia for drooling.)

*sigh*

Watching the Thanksgiving ep of Gossip Girl has made me appreciate my family so much more. lol

Hehehe. HI KELLY- I know you read this. :) :) :)

KAY TIME TO SLEEP - EARLY? I KNOW AYE D: SO UNLIKE ME.
I'm so devoted to Mr HSC ;)

STUDY HARD!

PS. WEEKEND RESOLUTION- maintain strange sleeping routine- wake 7.30 and sleep before 12.30.

Conclusion #2

I am so incredibly bored.

And I am so glad it's finally dinnertime.

GOOD LUCK WITH PAPER TWO!

Read the question, yo. Especially you Bosco. YES I'm  being mean and picking on you- BUT IT'S FOR YOUR OWN GOOD.

:D TTFN

Excuse me Bosco Lam

Since when do I talk about myself in the third person.

HOW DO I STARE AT MYSELF ACROSS THE DINING TABLE.

Bosco Lam- I BET YOU SUCK AT COMPREHENSION.

K's acting like a freaking menopausal woman. One minute she's laughing crazily like a hyena and the next she's frothing at the mouth making violent gestures with her hands.

:|

Boy am I glad she has school.

Goodbye Skrzynecki

After taking an entire lesson or so learning to pronounce his name, and another day or so learning how to spell it correctly- and an AGE learning to write it in cursive without adding an extra "y" or "z" or "i", I can finally stop caring about his name.  Whoever the hell thought of putting six consonants together should really learn to spell/read.  By proper English err pronunciation, this work cannot be annunciated properly.

Anywho. My dad has been worried about me for the past week. He thought it was strange I was so relaxed.  Honestly, after writing over 10 different AoS essays, I was pretty sure I had most of the points in my mind today.  I've been a cool as a cucumber :) alot of people have!  Not memorising an essay paid off. I've never been good at memorising- I don't recommend it either, and today, not memorising an essay but writing off the top of my head paid off.

The fact that we had to write about ONE related texts did put me off a bit (I'm sure it put everyone off), because I felt like I could have outshined the rest of the state - I had prepared well for this new AoS, and I guess I'm just disappointed all that effort wasn't required.  This is why I really hate english sometimes.  It's like biology. You learn an entire section in the greatest detail hoping to nail it in the exam- and it doesn't appear in the paper.

But yeah, disappointment aside- just be glad they didn't ask for three (I KNOW- 100% unlikely), but I prepared one just incase?  I was also super glad that the Section I was NOTHING like the Knox (?) paper. The one with the bald man... Haaa. Yeah.

I wish I had a better night of sleep though. I went to bed at around 12- was hoping to go to bed earlier, but I just wanted to read over everything twice before bed. Couldn't sleep. It wasn't nerves- it was just.. eugh hard to fall asleep in this weather. Too hot to be in the blankets and too cool to go without. I didn't dare open my eyes to look at the time at all- so I'm pretty sure I'm exaggerating when I say I couldn't sleep for hours.  But I did in the end- and at 4.54am I was suddenly WIDE AWAKE. Why?! Normally I'd be in deep sleep at this hour. WHY?!  Bathroom? No. Thirsty? No. Too warm? Nope. It had cooled down alot.

Then I heard it.

My dad left his bedroom door open, and I could hear his snoring. My door was shut and it was LOUD AS. So I creeped out into the hallway and closed his door- and went back to sleep.  Slept like a baby until 6.45am when I am awoken by a text message.

I get out of bed and read it.

Don't know whether to scream or laugh.

Sorry Cabbage- I really, really, REALLY love my sleep in the morning and sometimes I'm unsure as to whether I'd choose my morning sleep over friends.  :D Thanks for the gluck text.

Luckily enough- I was sleepy enough to fall right back into my slumber and slept until 7.30am.

WHT-

Got to school- waved. Half ambushed James (Z) - we were both unaware- I think we scared each other. lol. He was just lurking in the bushes and I happened to be walking past to greet the ex-birthday girl Lis. Handed her the equivalent to a box of roses, 3 easter bunnies, some Pepero, and some Lindt chocolate PLUS a hungry hungry hippo called Alice- exchanged hugs, complained about waking up, and boasted about being calm, etc you get my drift. Pre-exam hyping up time.

Skip Exam. Some BORING things happened- supervisors are kinda weird.  I wish the school were more organised and would dish out a bit more money for extra supervisors...

After the exam, there was a complication in our column and sim and I were one of the last few people to leave the hall. It was already something like 11.47ish. Atrocious. We sat there for AGES waiting for the supervisor and she just NEVUR came- except .. before we left of course.

Exam buddies (Sim, Rex and Xining.. ooh Cat I guess) who are basically people who sit around me during the exams and while we're waiting for the supervisor to come, we sort of have some silent discussion about the exam question.  Hot topic- one related text, etc. And the essay question- which made me think a lot more than usual. It wasn't as straightforward as I'd hoped, but at least it was just one related text? I sound like a hypocrite, but I mean that in two different ways- but now I'm just confusing myself....

When I was finally free, I think I had a stupid grin plastered on my face which somehow gave my dad (and probably Richard's M) the impression I super aced the exam.  Super aced is not exactly it- but I was happy I was no longer stuck in that miserable JC Hoskin Auditorium. Exams in the hall suck.  Richard's nose blowing echoes.  Thank goodness we didn't have people eating M&Ms (lol Janet! Our convo this morning!).

Wow, I'm feeling quite verbose today.  When I saw my friends, I just couldn't shut up today. Really. I had this urge to butt into people's conversation (stopped myself-luckily. lol) and to just jabber on about something unrelated.

AFTERWARDS, M, D and I went to Ewood for yumcha.  Samantha.... you should have joined your mum, because she & some other R09 mothers ended up sitting on the table next to us... I stretched out my ear and heard some juicy gossip- not. I wish I could stretch my ears. Gad. I watched fantastic 4 recently- and its hilarious. My cousin thinks I have really bad taste in movies. He's probably right. eehh.

Then I see Michelle (L) while we're grocery shopping and she tells me GAZILLIONS (3 other people) of R09 folk went to Cafe de Macau to have lunch. :(   At that point I was screaming "I KNEW IT, I KNEW IT" in my mind. Earlier that day, my dad and I were talking about where we were going to have lunch- and I was thinking of suggesting Cafe de Macau- but I didn't and let my M choose.  Even boring places seem extremely enjoyable with friends. ♥ you guys. Not seeing you lot 5 days a week makes me an utterly stupid talker/babbler when I do see you. D:

Go home- have a serious talk with my parents about booking my freaking airplane tickets because they're being sold like hot potatoes and all the GOOD FLIGHTS WILL BE GONE. Called up a couple of places ( I thought I was fluent in cantonese- but freaking asian travel agents use freaking hard words I've never heard of before ) and found out ALL THE GOOD FLIGHTS ARE GONE.  My dad is also very against M and I leaving on 21st Nov stopping at TP.

I'm annoyed. I don't see what's so bad about Taipei seeing as I'VE NEVER BEEN THERE. Forgive me for sounding retarded, but for once I want to experience something bad MYSELF. (and he sucks. when we were in tokyo, he said 100 yen shops were a waste of time, so we didn't even get to enter ONE STORE)

He doesn't trust asian airlines (except cathay & singapore) either, so he cancelled M's temporary booking- and booked for an expensive ticket that will take us to HK -> Shanghai. I'm annoyed. I didn't even want to go to SH.  Going overseas with D is usually all about visiting relatives. We spent 3 weeks in SH once, and freaking hell- had dinner at home like 6 out of 7 days. MAJORLY PISSED OFF. There are plenty of good eats in China- WHY, OH WHY DO WE HAVE TO HOT POT EVERY NIGHT.  I don't even speak minimal SH. Infact, I only know Xwords. lol. How do you do, thanks, telephone, toilet, SH, the address for our flat in SH, don't drink alcohol and don't smoke. THAT'S IT.

It is also cold, smelly and people on the roads drive like they are in some kind of super speedy race (don't keep up with racing. V8? ISNT THAT A JUICE- forgive my ignorance).. When the taxi drivers are turning a corner, they swerve.  When they are changing lanes, they swerve.  When they are driving in a straight line they freaking swerve.  My life is always under constant threat in Shang-hai. I am afraid of crossing the road (heck, I'm paranoid in safe SYDNEY).

Gosh. Not only are the taxi's scary.  Fights on buses... Swerving minibuses *cry*, cyclists who endanger the lives of motorists and pedestrians... The list is endless.

In China, I can't even buy a freaking tram ticket without being looked at funny. In HK I can haggle and pretend to be a local. (not really- haha apparently I dress really differently. weird trendy people in Asia)

But going back to what I was talking about before (lol... derailed...), I'm spending 2 wks in HK, 1 wk in SH (thank god) and maybe a week in Beijing. WOO my first time. However I'm leaving Syd 5/12/09 which means I'll miss the first proper item on the itinerary. boo. Coming back 10 Jan 10 I think. Just in time to suffer in the heat and kill my sun-deprived skin. (the sun does not shine in China... You can see it, but you can NEVER feel it- and it looks orange.. instead of like.. like. like looking into a lightbulb.  Thanks ozone. Thanks.

Should stop now. I've written enough for 2 essays (wild guess).  Today was fun, minus suffering the PMS rage of a certain female in the house. It was terrible. During dinner I was burned with a particular someone's eye-zap. ZZZ. Damn you MENSTRUAL CYCLE (I hope some of you shuddered reading that. I chortled imagining the shuddering. *creepy smile*)

ZZZ HAVE FUN WITH MOD A B AND C. ♥ mod C. :) LOVE IT

One day moreee

I think I know someone like that.

Haha. Pain in the ass.

This reminds me of what Joseph once wrote about...
***

So I've been up for approximately 6 hours today and have done close to no work. I'm trying to come up with another creative story- but it's so hard. I'm not feeling creative today. lol. Or ever.

*stabs eye* or not.

I am so incredibly bored. zzz.

GOOD LUCK TOMORROW- Tomorrow is a good er training period to get your hand all fit and strong for Friday.

Time to get my passport interview doneeee.  Next time some racist idiot verbally assaults me on the train or something I can say something along the lines of "i'm not a terrorist you racist bastard, I passed my passport interview".

Gad I really hate racist people on trains.

Conclusion #1

I think Hamlet Snr was a prick.

But seriously, this is another Hamlet ramble. Read on if interested, 100% dedicated to that psychopath.

I think he was a  nasty fellow and Gertrude actually got with his brother after he died to spite him.  I think when he was alive, he didn't care for her much- they didn't really have an intimate relationship (as Hamlet recalls).

I was reading something today and the writer brought up a really valid question. Why can't Gertrude see the ghost of Hamlet's D when everyone else can see him? DundunDUUNN.  Because the ghost has the power to choose who sees him, obviously he's hiding himself for a good reason.

Perhaps he is confusing his son ON PURPOSE! Sounds reasonably, but a tad unlikely.

Back track a bit. What were Hamlet and Gertrude doing alone in the room anyway? (NOT referring to the hump scene in Brannaugh's production - wth how do you spell his name)  From memory he was insulting Claudius, and condemning their relationship, blah blah blah. And she's defending it- however I have a feeling that if the ghost hadn't interrupted, she would have started going on about how Hamlet snr was a fag face and he cared for nothing but the military, etc, etc. Hence, I think the ghost is hiding something, and he isn't as righteous as his son thinks he is.  Hamlet is dillusional.

Honestly, at the moment he doesn't seem like a coward or anything. He just seems very untainted, pure and er better than everyone else. He's educated, noble and very philosophical and alienates himself from the corruption within Elsinore.  His revenge plan takes a long time in the making- infact I don't think he even made a complete plan in the end!  He delays because he doesn't want to be involved in all this - and mostly because he doesn't understand what he's getting into- he can't do it.

And then somehow the oedipus complex comes into play- he loves his mother, his mother loves Claudius- so he can't kill Claudius until after Gertrude dies, etc, etc.

I don't want to be so psychological in my essay- but it's how I'm currently thinking things out.

Oh my gosh. This is such a mess.

I read the play again today. There were a couple of funny parts that made me chuckle. WHAT! Haha. Humorous characters : Polonius, Hamlet and the grave digger.  Happy characters: only one- the grave digger. Is it a coincidence that he is not within the court? Everyone in the court is a complex character (apart from the women- COMPLETELY HOPELESS.  They do nothing in the play except cling, act pathetic and burden)  ooh pause.

If I were Gertrude and I was talking to Hamlet, the moment he asks something like

H: How could you be so horrendous? MARRYING YOUR HUSBAND'S BROTHER? That's incestuous mother- despicable, UTTERLY ATROCIOUS. I hate you

I would answer in the most straighforward fashion-
G/B: Do you really want an answer?  Your father was a dickhead.

He probably was.

unpause.

I think everyone is multi-dimensional (again, except the women). All the men had their outward appearances, hiding behind their masks. Polonius- a what? a bumbling fool? Yeah right- He was a spy and a pretty smart one too. Hamlet pretends to be mad so that no one knows what the hell he's thinking. Everyone in the court thinks Claudius is a good man- but he is a killer. Rozencrantz and Guildenstern are supposed to be Hamlet's friends but they're Claudius' spies (which I think is really mean- Hamlet should choose his friends more carefully. lol).

I probably sound like a raving maniac- but I feel slightly better now that I have everything typed out infront of me :D  Just tossing a couple of ideas out there.

For those who really do think I sound like a fool, try reading some critical analysis on Hamlet- that he is a woman in a man's body. Yerrr I couldn't help but laugh while reading.YEAH RIGHT.  (I guess the PMS-y attitude might come into play here..)

But I'll shut up now, and write another essay.

HAPPY STUDYING!

PS Hamlet frustration rants get their own Hamlet tag now. Yay.

PPS. Creepy or what?! Last night I had a dream I was being chased around by a firefly about the size of someone's palm.  It flew up to my neck and puncture a major artery- and started sucking- like a vampire and I died.   Just then I did a wiki on Vampires, and apparently the African version of the vampire takes the form of a firefly to hunt children. I certainly did not know that. T_T

Paranoia and Problems

By nature I think I'm a pretty curious person.  When I come home from the docs I like to head straight to the computer and look up whatever disease/illness he has diagnosed.  After I read the initial article on the illness, I always do something I shouldn't. I start clicking on hyperlinks scattered across the wikipedia article.  I read and I don't stop, and in my mind, something as simple and stupid as a virus blows up into some deadly infectious disease.  I think I fear death.  Usually anyway.  When I'm uber mad I decide that it's okay for a giant meteorite to hit the Earth at that moment. I simply don't care.  But that changes after a couple of hours.  I change my mind alot. I'm easily swayed.

Anyway, I am currently feeling quite smug- after going though my mod C essay, I realised how FANTASTIC I did (for my standards anyway), and I am totally and utterly inlove with The Justice Game. HARR! Unfortunately I do not seem to be very skilled in Shakespearean texts - despite owning three study guides (WHICH I INTEND TO SELL, Dearest year 11 readers), I cannot seem to grasp the full idea of Hamlet.  The best study guide out of the three probably gives me too many ideas to consider- they all seem equally as good and it's so hard to find a point to talk about.

Speaking of selling books- I CANNOT WAIT UNTIL I GET RID OF ALL MY TEXTBOOKS/WORKBOOKS! Talked to D about selling them, and he thinks its a great idea- incase the syllabus changes or something. Why would I sell and not leave them for K? Quick cash to spend on my holiday and K prolly won't be taking the same subjects as mine.

WILL I BURN MY NOTES? Gladly, but I don't want to accidently set fire to the bushland nearby so I'll prolly just dump it in the recyling bin :D  Gad, I have to stop thinking about getting rid of my notes before my exams start. Bahaha.

Dear everyone, don't forget to bring in math textbooks on the day of the math exams, and science on/by 2nd Nov?

MAWSON!

:D CAN YOU/YOURPARENTS BE OUR GUARANTORS 8)

We've got everything done now (including passport photos- omg yuck) and you get to be one of the few privileged people to see the ugliness. xD

Thanks everyone for the sleep comments. Lol. I got up at 9 this morning so its okay :)

Talked to D about trip today (suprisingly he didn't tell me to shut up and study instead) and he for some weird reason really, really hates China Airlines so :/ we might not be taking Quentin's flight afterall (@Mawson: I talked to the travel agent, she said we could stop in TW for 3 days ! so yeah haha might..). We might take our normal Qantas/Cathay or take Jal and stop in Tokyo for 3 days...

atm: 2 wks HK, 2 wks Shanghai.

WHT-
Went to Granny Smith Festival- ah fresh air.  Only went to Ewood to take passport photos (damnit, I'm taking it myself next time- such a rip off). Missed Road to Canaan- oh well, next time :)

Last night I went to bed really late because I was checking stats (WHO) and reading practically everything single word on the smart traveller's site.  Even stuff like the "what to do if you get sexually assaulted" articles.  But yeah. The WHO stuff was interesting- I took ages reading and before I knew it, it was like 2. THERE'S THE PLAGUE IN CHINA! But only in the obscure farm-y locations in China.

Read stuff on passports as well last night- I know so much about them now. lol. Apparently I need to be interviewed for my new adult p/p. I bet it's just one of those- "what's your name" and "why do you want to travel" making sure you're not an obvious terrorist, etc.  (@Diti- the travel insurance that covers terrorism is really... wow. haha I doubt any plane to China would get highjacked though. Everyone's chummy with China)

MATH TIME :D

PS Hi to all my readers from the US, Canada and Norway :D

Hello!

Currently feeling victorious because I now have access to many AoS trial papers thanks to Rex and my fb stalking.

Yars. This morning I was surfing fb and I came across a status that cried out for help. Something along the lines of "anyone have trial belonging papers?" I think. Then this lovely random put three hyperlinks in the comments section and I CLICKED ON IT AND FOUND PAPERS.

Hours later I hit the frams and thanks Rex :D 123 pages of trial exams.

In all other news, I was covered in dust and feeling a bit itchy now. D: This morning, M barged into my room (far in! I was doing one of the papers I had found and she ruined my TIMED mock exam >:( ) and told me to pull out the suitcases from under my bed and take out everything that slipped into the dark crevasse which is the gap between my bed and the wall. I don't know why, but over a period of time, the gap has widened and once I found myself waking up with 1 leg out of sight!

So I crawled into that claustrophobic space and almost got stuck- lol gotta lay off the chocolates. I actually found alot of junk down there including a tshirt I seriously haven't seen in over a year, the odd sock and LOTS OF DUST.

:(

***

Many, many, many years ago when I was stuck blogging on live spaces, I noticed this blog that looked exactly the same as mine. Same layout, background image and title- which I thought was strange because I had customly fiddled around with the colours and uploaded my own background pic.  So I clicked on the person's profile and she had the EXACT same description as mine!  She also stole my blogging material D: Copy Pasting, etc. My gad. I was furious. And I think I wrote a rant blog about it and commented on her blog. A week later, the blog was privated and I couldn't threaten her anymore. :(

Years later, K's friend added me on Bebo. I didn't accept her because she's a retard and said I was ugly to K when she thought I wasn't listening ( >:( I'm not, I own the most attractive face in the universe! hmph ) I was only furious because her face was caked with some kind of greasy and overdue foundation to hide her flaky skin. Lol. So yes, I looked at her bebo- her descriptions, images and thought !!! what the hell! I've seen this all before! Is she already my friend?

So I searched my friends list and ages later found the same photos/layout and descriptions.

Oh my gad. What a humiliating experience it must have been for her.  Lets call the mean girl H and my friend R. H had even stolen R's display picture. D: There were comments on the photos like " omagad H, such a cool pic, did you take it yourself" and "woah looking hot- pro ps skillz" and she said "yes, thanks I'm on ps like all the time" etc etc.

Dootdidoot. I'm not a whistle blower, but I felt the urge to tell R that H was using her photo as a display pic. But someone beat me to it :D and she got a massive butt caning and her account was suspended with Bebo and she lost alot of face at school.

So that's the end my my story- and I don't know why I told it. It's just something that makes me smile evilly >:D which is a good feeling once in a while. Good triumphed over bad- for once. :D Yayers.

Digressing, only a few days left until the big Hoo-Ha. So study hard everyone.  After looking at the HSC timetable, I don't feel so awful about exams (except the bio/jap/3ueng does make me feel slightly queasy).

SHOUTOUT TO BLEB: :D HIYA. I would reply to your text but atm all my texts are going to the "outbox" folder instead of the "sent" and I don't think they've been sent. D: feel like I haven't seen you in yonks :( except on frams :D

SEEEE YOU ALL SOOOON (looking forward to all this to be over)

The Naked Bunny

THE LAPTOP HAS RETURNED. I found it left unattended to in the living room so I snatched it back. :D

WHAT HAPPENED YESTERDAY?

I woke early for once. Why? Because it was going to be a joyous day- time spent studying with pals, Bosco and Milo. UNFORTUNATELY my day didn't begin so well.  I awoke at 8.24am with a feeling of panic and dread- I was late. Or was I? NO I WASN'T it was just a dream! Freaky. I woke before 9 without an alarm.  Too bad I fell asleep again- to wake up at 9.15am! Really was late this time :(  Well not really- just in time to catch the bus and whizz down to Epping for train to Central. BUT MOTHER MADE ME EAT BREAKFAST. So I did. And I missed my planned train.

I texted my study mates- something along the lines of OHMYGAD M MADE ME EAT B/F MAY BE LATE (NO I didn't eat my boyfriend. BTW for those wondering, his name's Mister Hsc :( )

Luckily there was a train 1 min after mine left and I just got it :D  I arrived at Central and got lost-ish, before I started recognising places in Ultimo. Harr. Phone buzzed- yay text. From Bosco. Unyay. Apparently he just woke up and cbb coming. Nggh. THUNKS BORBORED for nuthin'. *grumble*

I walked to the edge of Broadway and back to Uts Library. Yes. What a detour. What fun. I ventured into the quiet parts of the city, where middle aged men were looking sus and smoking instead of going to work... lol

ANYWAY. WALKED UP TO LEVEL 5. WHAT A WORK OUT - lots and lots of stairs! And studied with Meelo for a couple of hours.

DUN DUN DUN. Just before lunch, I was fiddling with my phone- wanting to check time. Checking the time led to other things- checking my alarm for tomorrow, and then I started playing with the security settings. I saw the Pin setting and thought, HEY! I don't have a pin. So I fiddled with it, and got my phone locked- I needed a Puk code.

Showed Milo, he loled and we decided to break for lunch. Headed to market city to see whether the THREE centre would be able to help me out. No solution.  Spent the rest of the day feeling bummed my phone was locked.  So we walked to KURA - but there was a line !!! We didn't wait. Instead we walked around- past Gumshara, and finally onto Kent Street. :D  There we found Kasumi Izayaka.  (OMG MILO: IT WAS THE WATERSLIDE PLACE)

At first, we were attracted by this sign

Oyaku Don= $5.50

Went wondering in the CBD. Empty retail stores BD

Finally found this place. Equilibrium.

Shall visit there often next year :D

AND THEEN we went back to Uts to study some moar.  Decided to retreat home at 4.40 and passed this place called Pho at Saigon. Chris/Nathan is this the horrid place? :D It looks nice on the outside!

Came home to a policeman and a chef

:D

Then I stripped the policeman and ate him

Hoping to wake early enough to study at the State Library with K tomorrow. Then visit Kura or Ichiban Boshi. :D

Have a good week everyone

ESCAPE!

Studying in a place away from home is freaking awesome. I can study for longer without being interrupted and I move through bio p.papers like a zertec.

I'll blog about yday another day because my laptop has been confiscated* (not really- shall elaborate later) and I'm stuck with the slow as PC (which makes a tonne of noise) which doesn't have a card reader. And I happen to have a few photos to post so yer. I cbb digging out the cable to connect camera to comp.

* Recently D managed to obtain a copy of You're Hired- a TVB series about some people who are experts at setting up/improving businesses. Unfortunately, it was put on a USB and D cbb burning onto  a DVD so they can watch using the DVD player.  My laptop has an HDMI plug thing in it , and we happen to have a cable :( and when you play a movie on the laptop, it shows on the big tv screen. D: SO THEY'VE HAD IT FOR A WEEK OR SO ALREADY.

But I guess its okay. The old PC isn't so bad afterall. I mean, it doesn't have MSN, or flash player, or many other internet essential tools so I can't procrastinate as often.

Digressing, let me complain about my HSC timetable. Actually, I don't have too many problems with it, except its TOO SOON (:P), and Bio + Jap are on the same day - I finish at 5pm, and 3u english is the next day.  Everything else seems okay. I'm loving the 1 day gap between the 2uenglishes and the 4 day gap I have between economics and 3ueng. But not the 5 day gap between Eco and my last exam, Jap Ext. Knowing me, I'll probably be in party mood until Sunday night. Sunday night- I'll be freaking out knowing I only have 2 more days until Jap.

Today:
Wake, study, study, study.

When I spend a whole day at home, I usually stay in my pajamas (ie tshirt and trackpants). Apparently there are people who have sleep clothes, home clothes and day clothes. WHAT! I only have 2 main categories. Sleep = home for me. XD

Damn 3. I can't get my PUK code :(

so there's this guy

When I first met him, I thought he was interesting. Everyone else didn't have exactly the same reaction. But the more time I spent with him, the more he started to irritate me. I began to realise that every time he was around I'd try to avoid- but alas, I must suck at avoiding, because he's FRICKING THERE ALL THE TIME. He's a waste of my time, and whenever I try to understand him, I get confused. Not because I suck at psychoanalysing people (no, I'm great at that), it's because he's a MUTHATRUCKING twisted and fagtastic guy.

What's even more stupid is that I'm freaking raging over someone who isn't real. FLKSDJFL I HATE YOU SHAKESPEARE

For those who hate Hamlet, say AYE.

I've said this probably > 500 times, but I would build a time machine for the following reasons.

  1. To hunt down people who were super cute babies- find them, kill them, stuff them and put it on display or something. Eternally cute.
  2. To book my holiday tickets early Jan
  3. TO TRUCKING KILL SHAKESPEARE
Nothing good came out of this guy. Why create a man who doesn't make sense.

NGAAARR. MY OPINIONS CHANGE TOO OFTEN.

WHY
DO
WE
GET
45MINS
TO
WRITE
ABOUT
HAMLET

Injustice really. Some education.

I HATE STUDY. IT TURNS ME INTO A RAGING MONSTER. RARARA.

Studying eco/bio actually makes me happy though. Mod C is okay too. Mod A - soso, OMAGAD MOD B... zzz. I hate you Hamlet. I wish we had Cit Cane.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN TOMORROW

Wake up in the morning (for once), head to UTS, study bio briefly, and do some papers from my Success one book (got one today) and do a jap paper.  Go home. Do Start maths.

I WANT TO GO HERE TOMORROW

I sure hope seeing friends + studying bio will cure me from this foul mood I've been in since I started English this evening. I feel woozy and I've eaten half the tray of my GIANT Guylian box (props to tutoree) and MAD LIKE A FRICKING FATTER HATTER.

As of tonight, my stress levels went through the roof because of that stupid SAM calculator. FML.

Hope you're all having better luck than me with studying TT___TT;

PS. My all time favourite blog. Google it if you don't mind reading alot of swear words and the often vulgarity (if that's a word). Cigars and Vaginas.  I've been following them since FOREVER- they prolly have no idea. ==;;

SAM + TRIALS

omfg. you know i'm not one to really talk about my marks, etc

however i decided to just punch in my trial marks (really mucked up trials marks :( ) into the SAM calculator on boredofstudies, and holy fricken crap- TT__TT;

i'll be happy as a chappy if i get these marks.

Mathematics  85

English (Advanced)  96

English Extension 1   46

Biology   90

Economics   90

END RESULT: 96.45 UAI.
I bombed bio & 2ueng during trials = instant death

btw how accurate is sam anyway. please don't say it over estimates //neck

I have a feeling i'll make this drastic improvement in economics. i've been studying my ass off for economics and it'd better pay off.

i don't know whether to laugh or cry- but I guess it has made me realise how important my bio mark & 2u mark is.

GARRRGHGHHGHGHGHGHGH stupid jap. I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO IMPROVE IN JAP. Freaking hell. I suck at composing letters/stories/postcardmessages.

OH MY GOD I AM GOING TO THE CATHOLIC UNIVERSITY NEXT YEAR OH MY GOD.

Stuck into it

PS (I know this shouldn't be at the top- but it's important)- LEONA ZHANG WAS IN DOLLY MAG. ULTIMATE LULZ. ;D;D;D;D

HELLO EVERYONE.

For once, I don't think I have anything in particular to blog about. I have nothing really important to say (not that anything I say is ever important)- but all day I've just been thinking about economics... food... economics... biology.. food.. japanese... mm japanese food...

My internet was supposed to be uncapped this morning, but I had trouble accessing it in the afternoon so I spent most of that time studying.  I realise it's actually not that hard to focus on the big desk in my room (the one D normally takes up) because the area is so big and I can just sort everything into piles.

I am a space hog.

I love nothing more than a BIG, WIDE, CLEAN area for me to work in.  There was a time when I used to take the table cloth from the dining table and work on the clean wooden plank- but M forbade me. She said I took too much time putting everything together again when it was time for dinner.  Honestly, I think a work table without a computer and annoying wires/cables is the optimum place for study- which is why the dining room is my favourite location.

Today M, D & K went to Bankstown.. or Blacktown.. or some place like that to get a haircut (apparently there is a good stylist there.. I just get mine cut at Ewood- Medusa. lol) and I had the whole house to myself for several hours. It was great. Well, it would have been better if my back yard neighbours (you know what I mean right? The people who share the same backyard fence as you..) didn't hold a party today that started at 12pm and ended at 9pm. FAR OUT. Who the hell holds outdoor parties that last 9 hours. :(

Normally, I love kids. But during HSC, I'd love nothing more than to shove a sock in each kid's mouth. It's so disrupting and piercing and euughh.

Oh - actually I have something to discuss now :) Brainwave.  (btw, anyone tried Grainwaves? Are they any good?)

Loss... Death.. Grief. Whatever you want to call it.  Do kids know it?

I remember my Aunt passed away eons ago when I was nothing but a hyperactive midget.  I knew what happened to her. She wasn't playing hide and seek, she wasn't going away on a trip, I knew she had gone to a crematorium in a box and had been turned into ashes.  I thought every kids knew... but apparently not.

I witnessed a sort of naivety I had NEVER imagined before. It was humourous at the time- no doubt; but in reality, I guess it was a bit sad.  A little kid passed away, and the funeral soon came up.  The kid used to live with his group of cousins (seriously- ALL THE SAME AGE) and they had grown up practically brothers and sisters.  When the rest of the kids noticed he wasn't around anymore- there were questions, "mum, where is he?" "Dad, where's Ryan?" but pretty soon afterwards, they stopped asking and I thought they had forgotten about him already.

At the funeral, Ryan was carried in a white coffin, and like alot of traditional funerals, the lid was left off to let other people see his face one last time.  Vincent was playing outside, but was watching through the windows and suddenly he started making a huge racket.

"RYAN! RYAN! MUM! MUM LOOK! RYAN IS IN THE WHITE BOX! WHY IS RYAN IN THE WHITE BOX!"

The other kids started joining in, asking similar questions until Vincent's mum went outside to hush them up.  Later on, when they carried the coffin into the hearse, Vincent asked "Mum! Why are they taking him away?" no one answered him. I hate it when adults do that. TT__TT; seriously- for once, this kid asks a very valid question (he always gives me Ben10 pop quizzes) and no one replies.

After that he starts crying quietly which is unlike him. Vincent can be very sweet, but he's usually LOUD and obnoxious and very rude for a little kid (lol), and when he cries- he bawls loudly. D was worried by this, and asks him what's wrong.  Everything thinks he realises Ryan won't come back and has gone to a possibly better place.. but what he said shocked everyone and I think made everyone laugh.

He said, "Ryan won't come out of the box to play with me."

Maybe it's just me, but .. eugh. it's so hard to find the right words to convey what I'm trying to say.  Normally I'd believe NEVER to underestimate how much children understand- but I guess you shouldn't forget how naive they can be. It's cute, but sad. In this case- slightly morbid.

Children do forget though. I think Laura, Ryan's little sister, has sort of forgotten about him now.

Hm. I don't know how to end this post now. I don't normally write about this stuff I think- just found it a tad interesting.

Mmm. But a day of malfunctioning net, economics, bio and jap, left me lots of spare time to think about stuff I haven't thought about in a long while.

I can probably conclude that I was the smartest kid around. Unfortunately, I can't say the same now. XD

Hope you're all studying well! Hopefully I'll be able to visit KURA again this coming Monday :)  Have a lovely Sunday everyone! (PHO TOMORROW!)

Inflation- a fricking nuisance

Being an individual with no real assets- owning material items with no appreciating value within a certain amount of time, I really, fricking HATE inflation.

Today I saw D surfing the webjet site and thought it was strange because I thought he had already booked everyone's tickets - BUT NO! He was taking a gamble and was waiting for prices to go down lower.

What happened?

In the beginning of September, D and I started looking around for cheap airplane tickets for our o/s holiday. D was like- we should book later this month incase the Swine Flu epi fluctuates alot in Asia. So we kept monitoring and didn't book. About half a month into Sep, prices for plane tickets started dropping. I said it was a good time to buy- I don't like taking risks; I mean, hey, strike while the iron's hot.  To shut me up, D said he had booked tickets, so I've been a happy chappy since then.

Now plane tickets have rocketed to sky high prices and I'm disappointed we didn't strike when we could have. D: Shopping in HK would feel more satisfying if we could have save $AUD2000.

Holiday plans are a bit strange now. I no longer think leaving Nov 18 is a sensible idea. I'd like to think I'll be allowed to go to afters or something and I think feeling hungover on a plane is not a good idea. Dec 1 is a prefered day for me. :D I seriously CANNOT wait. But hopefully we'll come across cheaper tickets. At the moment, prices fare at about $640 one way- if we fly with Virgin International (I think that's the name.. Virgin Aus?). But I've heard REALLY bad things about Virgin, and I'd rather stick with Qantas (our normal Carrier) or Cathay (cos apparently they haev good food).

If I were to make a decision right now, I'd really like to stop in Tokyo for 3 days on JAL before heading off to China/HK. I think it only costs $200 p/p for a stopover. Not quite sure.

So kids, lesson learned here is to KEEP BADGERING D TO BOOK TICKETS- AND PHYSICALLY WATCH HIM DO IT!

Props to Mawson and Bosco for their wonderful itinerary. :D 4 Dec- 11 Dec if you're available for a meetup HOLLER!

I wonder what I'll be doing tomorrow. My mind tells me I have to study. However, I'm pretty sure my family will go out and eat- my heart's telling me to follow.

HAHA!   :(

Quiet study UTS anyone?

Have a good weekend everyone!

PS. Lovin' Chocolatesuze's latest post. HOT CHOCOLATE FLANDERS' STYLE ANYONE? 8)
