Digressing now to talk about THE MOST EXCITING THING THAT HAPPENED TODAY.
SO today I had a look at some board minutes belonging to my client. The books were super old and smelled really musty (and I felt a bit itchy afterwards). The last meeting they had was September 09, but I flipped to the front of the book to find when the first meeting was recorded in this particular book. It said 1934.
1934 1934 1934 1934! SO MIND BLOWING RIGHT?
So I started picturing horses and carriages and well, I had quite a swell afternoon.
That is my story for the day :)
But yes, COME ROCK CLIMBING WITH MEEEEEE.
PS. I need to get a debit mastercard. ><;

CHOCOLATE FACTORY FEAST
I'M IN LOVE
I'M IN LOOOOOOVE
You can be too. It's easy. Just switch the tv on 8.30pm Thursdays on SBS. It's Heston's Feast.
I always feel blown away after watching an episode of Heston Blumenthal's creative food series "Heston's Feast", but today's episode was just SUPER MIND BLOWING. FAR OUT IT WAS SO GOOD
SO GOOD
Willy Wonka 60s themed dinner party.
What else is so good?
Not the election campaign. Decision 2010. Geez. I read about it on smh, listen to it on AM radio and discuss the most recent political allegations with the people I work with. It's so ridiculous this year. The attacks are so petty and personal, it's quite disgraceful. What's worse is Mark Latham's reporting. Sorry Channel 9, I lost respect for you. D:
Mark Latham is a loser.
When he was Opposition Leader, I thought it would be amusing to have a tough guy (i.e. taxi-driver-arm-breaker). I don't even know why that thought crossed my mind. Raving lunatic.
Moving on from politics- it never really occurred to me, but it's a growing realisation. SO MANY PEOPLE ARE DYING EVERYDAY. And I don't mean natural deaths. For example, there's the ever-present civil war around the world harming civilians and soldiers; people dying from industrial/occupational hazards; freaking murders (i.e. that torso they found in Doonside); FREAKING BABIES IN SHOEBOXES IN STRATHFIELD; youth bashing randoms.. we live with really retarded people.
Anyway. Despite these horrible things happening in our world, our country, our state, our bloody suburbs, I hope you all enjoy the rest of the week/weekend.

i will get off my arse and exercise...
... once I am done with all this crap from work.
Let me summarise the hardest weeks of my working life:
6am- alarm goes of "faaaaarrrrrkkkkkkkk i wanna sleep in"
eating on the train to work, try to condure up a to do list for the day, dreaming of what to do on the weekend. Get to work before 8, senior's already there- great. starting work early. Sit down, laptop out, work.
At 9- First coffee break announced. Stay seated and focussed on work. I will finish before 8 today.
12.30 comes around. People start leaving their seats and head to the kitchenette to microwave food. You learn to wait 30 mins afterwards and the queue dies down. Food comes out after 2mins and disappears into your digestive system within 10. Chuck cutlery into the sink, container into handbag and continue working like there's no tomorrow.
3pm. Second coffee break announced. Senior breaks into song. "STOP BREATHING!" The stress is getting to everyone. Chocolate break is also announced. Everyone takes a Freddo from the community bag. Don't stop working- just focus on getting it done. I will finish before 8 today.
3.30pm. Accountants are falling apart around me. Another coffee run is announced. Stay focussed. Must get this done before 8
5pm. Pamphlets/menus for suggested takeaway dinners are passed around. Everyone picks and orders something less than $20 of value. Keep working.
7pm. Food arrives. Everyone makes a dash for the soups/bento boxes/pastas/and pad thai's in takeaway boxes and eats infront of their computer.
7.30pm All the food is gone, and so is the hope of finishing work before 8- as senior asks if you can stay a bit longer to help out with something else.
9.30pm "sorry dad, don't wait up, I'll cab it home"
10.15pm "thanks for all your help today- sorry for making you stay late again" "that's okay" no its not.
10.25pm start to realise the world is against me when all the cabs that pass by my side of the road are all taken.
10.30pm cross the road and resume flagging down a cab.
10.35pm. will get into ANY car that stops. to go to central to train home
11.30pm. "hi mum, sorry for waking you up. go back to sleep"
12pm "zzzz"
6am alarm goes off "WTF ALREADY?"
And the cycle continues. It's quite unbelieveable- when I think about the ratio of the hours I spend in and out of the house. COMPLETELY BLOWN OUT OF PROPORTION! Thank you busy season, thanks a bunch.
I'm not saying I don't like what I do- I love it, I just don't like how it comes in waves. If only audit could be evenly spaced out, it would be a good job. Not a hectic one.
These days, uni is a breather, a relief, and I'm glad I started to finally enjoy going to my classes and meeting new people. I look forward to my tutorials because I get to muck around and act like I normally do around people my own age XD I miss that.
But yes. Worst week ever. But oh how satisfying at the end of the week.
I apologise to all my friends for bailing and disappearing off the face of the Earth. The fact is, my persistent cold won't go away, and I'm usually in a horrible case of comatose on the weekend, catching up on Zzzs I've missed out on during the week. Plus I've been trying to have some face to face time with my family during dinner on the weekend.
HENCE EXPLAINS WHY I HAVE SUCH A TITLE!
This whole time I've been sitting (infront of a laptop/in the cab/on the train), lying (on the sofa/in bed) and walking (very little). With the amount I eat, and the little exercise I do, type 2 diabetes is inevitable and obesity will not be too far away.
And just to confirm it here, next year I WILL do the City 2 Surf because I heard there are lots of oysters and free food in the our work tent. Can't wait! (someone should have told me about the seafood earlier!)
la la la. now I will pack up my work and sleep. I didn't end up doing what I thought I could be doing with this time (typing up silly minutes from a meeting). I ended up procrastinating- and now I feel extremely lethargic.
Please excuse any typos and grammatical errors in this post. I am feeling far ... too... sleepyyyy.
A toast- to GETTING PROMOTED PROGRESSED TO GRADE C4 from GRADE C2!

girls, help me out!
Hiya.
I've been on the hunt for the perfect bag for work for about half a year now. I've had my eye on a er not fabric, but not plasticky bag. I don't know w hat the name of the material, or brand is. And so it's really hard to look it up online. Plus I suck at describing.
All I know is I see it ALL the time when I'm on the train on my way to work.
It comes in a variety of colours, but the main type is Navy. The handles? arm loops? are tan and there's a little flap thingy over the top. Tote-ish
I am not exactly the world's greatest communicator :(
It's not leather. But woven plasticky fabric? No. Not plastic... fabricky? but it's the type that would melt and harden if it touches a heater or something really hot.
I just can't see a brand, or any words on the bag, and I'm too chicken to walk up to someone and ask them about their bags, let alone observe an unattended bag. :|
Lala. Really random post I know. But I'm on the verge of desperation. The wait is killing me. So are my new textbooks. Gah. Work + Lecture + Tute tomorrow.
