Hometime and dessert for dinner
Wow I thought I'd be able to do a bit of shopping for my upcoming ball after work today, but no. Just when I was packing up after training today, I was asked to stay back and I just finished work.
:(
I don't like working during training. Zzz at least I have enough money to buy dessert for the fam. It is cold, the ground is wet (I'm terrified of being splashed by these passing taxis), and starting to rain again. I am also starving. I have a headache. And I have to be at work before 8am tomorrow...
Less than 12 hours.
On a brighter note, my hair feels really silky smooth right now.
On another low note, if you're at central station late at night, watch out. Someone was indecently assaulted in the bathroom last night. Friggin' scary thought. L
Look after yourselves kiddos. Miss your faces already!

my week thus far (those who are capped- beware! photodump!)
Dear Thashangan Murugathas and other readers,
Hope you've all had a nice weekend so far :) I'm gonna make this post long and as detailed as I can be bothered to make it as some have been hatin' on my short posts D: I will also offload a small fraction of photos as they are clogging up memory on my phone.
But just to get some stuff out of the way:
1. Kids, be careful when you're buying stuff online, esp from asian sellers. I received this in the mail during the week, and my my, I haven't been more disappointed. Tackiest iPhone cover I have ever seen. It looks shit-astic, but for 99c, who am I to complain about design. I also got a green dangly charm thing, which is a fish-eye lens. It also sucks. At least this will keep me from ebaying for quite a while...
2. I went to see Dr Zhivago with 15 other people on Wednesday night!! IT WAS SUPER and I really want to go see it again (but I won't). What's it about: love story entangled within the dark Russian Revolution. It's full of complex themes and shiz - which I read up online. All I got from the musical was : married guy who is good at singing maintains eye contact with a random girl for 2 seconds from then on, he is obsessed. He has a wife and a son, and pretty much chooses the other woman over them. Respect? none. I don't believe in any of this "I will only have one love in my life.." blah-di-blah. (This is one thing I don't like about other musicals. Life NOT just about being spontaneous and LOVE and "living in the moment". It's also about respect, principle and morals.) Dr Zhivago pretty much shows the inner conflict a person goes though while deciding what he wants in life.
Hm. I don't think that made sense, but whatever. He's just a cheater.
But the musical was great :)
The "other woman" (which ALL the men loved- not fair) and the wife (in real life!)
Yes. ANYWAY- just a quick advertisement; if anyone wants to see movies at Imax, Dendy's, Moonlight Cinemas for TEN BUCKS, please let me know. I have 5 tickets I want to get rid of. They expire Aug 31, so plenty of time. I just don't think I'll be seeing anything soon..
In other news, my parents (or just my dad) have been telling me to diet.
!?!?!?!
To spite them, here is a pic of me eating Twix. I have a stash hidden in that white wardrove behind me. Top left hand compartment ;)
This is all over the place- but pics from Wednesday night!
Star City looks quite nice :) but I've seen better.
The interior of the Lyric Theatre is very... er woody and there are lots of mirrors! The big asian group received lots of stairs, and we caused a bit of traffic in the hallway when we were taking photos like this.
And this...
Inside, we had smad seats!
And who got sucked into buying the $20 programs?
After it finished, we crossed the D.Harbour bridge to get back to the QVB. Sydney is quite spectacular at night (even if you don't get to see the bridge or the opera house). The yachts, the lights, the reflection off the water... 8) I guess I'm pretty lucky that I always get to live in beautiful cities :D Shanghai, HK, here... now if only I could afford a waterside property!
Views from the boardroom at my client's office!
It's the smex. We've been stuck in a stupid tiny room for 3 weeks and finally, FINALLY. This makes work alot more enjoyable actually. I wish I worked here everyday!
Thursday also happened to be a co-worker's birthday! Mmm choc mud!
Then FRIDAY- day at uni. It was more enjoyable than I first anticipated.
My normal Fridays run a bit like this:
7am- Get up
8am- Leave the house
8.45am- At uni, do hw.
10am- First class
1pm- Break by myself- bum for a bit
2pm- Class
4pm- Bum for 2 hours with work/uni friends
6pm- Class
8pm- Train home
Last Friday was a bit more exciting (and I completely missed two tutes!)
I was studying solidly during my 1pm break, and when it was almost time for my eco tute, people I met at camp found me. And then pretty much for the rest of the afternoon, we were lounging on beanbags underneath the lib stairs singing/watching one guy sing JB never say never, and planning all these events that will probably not ever happen. They momentarily forgot that I was a girl and started talking about all their girl problems, and wow its so interesting! They make us sound so complicated! But yeah, will probs not skip my tutes next week bcos I felt awful afterwards. I am, afterall, paying for all these classes I'm not going to D:
AND THEN, Saturday was eventful-ish.
It started off with productive studying (I'm starting to get a bit obsessed with studying now- I guess I know I'm behind!), and then I drove my mum around for her errands. She stopped at Eastwood for > 2 hours and I was just doing hw in the car. Found the Phil Collins cd I got for D last year in the cd player (I love it when he loves my presents :D :D ), turned up the stereo and had a blast.
Then everyone congregated at Stra Pocha, otherwise known as Fire Chicken (but don't google it because you won't come up with anything- I know, I tried) for Leeanne's "surprise" birthday dinner. Haha the famous fire chicken. Service turned out to be pretty crappy- but to be fair, we were a large group.
But apparently the secret wasn't a secret because Bryan & Deva ruined it. Seriously, that sucked. WHEN WILL WE EVER SEE A SUCCESSFUL SURPRISE PARTY?!!?! :'(
Cake by Winnie. TOP EFFORT MAN! tasted great :)
Envelop (and card) by Janette :D TOP EFFORT MAN looks great :)
Snuggie by Jackie :D TOP EFFORT MAN looks great ;)
Obviously I should have more to say about the three photos above, but I don't. I just think they're all amazing in their own ways (esp the snuggie.. and the card.. and of course the cake... damn you're all geniuses). Thanks for raising the bar guys, I'm gonna be expecting alot for my birthday :D
The boys who didn't get fed on the night. They messed up our order. The boys then had to eat at Oportos...
So yeah, STRA POCHA *defameDEFAMEdefame*
*gossipGOSSIPgossip*
Fire chicken, which wasn't firey. Thank goodness. CHEESY CHICKEN. The food was ok actually. I really like their non-kfc fried chicken. The batter was nice and crunchy and the chicken was sweet and juicy :D And it was damn cheesy
And of course, the instant photos. At these occassions, there's definitely going to be one,, or two, or a few. Thanks Janette :)
Lick lick lick!
Leeanne + boys pic, "so we're not sexist" Janette (what. I swear I've typed your name so many times already).
He was posing. Other people would put on the faraway-glazy-eye face, or a gangster pose, or even just a nice smile... but no, NO you just have to go on and pretend to be a sped. D:
Afterwards, we loiter around the korean grocery store watching an undercover police dude searching a possible druggo's car, while sharon eats a shark iceblock. Everyone gives her some crap about eating a gray iceblock and five minutes later, everyone has a shark iceblock in their hand...
The night ends for me when I get dropped off at home by the charitable people-hater, Rohan.
TODAY:
1. Studied again- I am really liking this habit...
2. Dropped off at Smel's, and picked up by Jason to go to see the Roosters vs Bulldogs game at ANZ stadium!
Really need to get my P's. :(
Anyway, halfway through the car trip, I'm offered a box of jelly beans:
I know it's blurry- I can't read it and I no longer remember the flavours. All I remember is putting a yellowy/orangey one in my mouth and regretting it almost IMMEDIATELY. TASTED LIKE MOULD. FACK. AND CHEESE. FACK. SO GROSS. Swallowed it and OD-ed on half a box of Eclipse. If I wasn't in the car, I would have spat it out immediately, but his car was so clean ...
Roosters lost. And I was rooting for them (sort of). It's hard to go for a team you don't know much about. Especially when you're sitting amongst a sea of Doggies fans.
Haha, yes, especially when you're sitting amongst a sea of Doggies fans.
Anyway, hope this was long enough for your liking Thashan.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend! Study hard, midsem exams approaching!
PS. I just read through this entire post, and I realised my grammar (esp around TENSE use) IS ATROCIOUS. I apologise. In future I promise to make an effort with my grammar. Goodbye sentences depicted in past, present AND future tense!

Shit happens... mostly today.
This morning I :
- Slept in.
- was late so skipped breakfast.
- Got a nosebleed when I was trying to wash my face. M gave me hell last time that happened because I got blood on my towel. (what else am I supposed to do?)
- Was damn sore all over (going down stairs HURT SO MUCH) so I didn't wear a pair of heels
- Slammed the door on my hand on the way out
- Hit my head on the car when i was trying to get in
- Almost got run over by a bus because I wasn't looking while crossing the road to get to the station
- Stepped in a puddle at CQuay and lost my shoe. Yes. There was a bit of dirt at the bottom of the puddle and it just sucked my shoe in. I yanked it back out and put it back on. and squelched all the way to the building, up the lift and into our audit room.
- Audit room was empty. My senior said we'd be here, but they weren't. Called. Decision made on friday night to stay in the office. I sighed and left the building.
- Flagged a cab and it sprayed water on me when it stopped. (at that point, I felt like running into oncoming traffic).
- Tried to take my umbrella down, but the gust of wind was so strong, it just broke.
- Finally got to work and slipped because i stepped onto a plastic takeway container lid.
- In the office I ate some fruit. And a bit of a WORM.
- Needed a coffee and the coffee machine was broken.
- Sat down and looked at my feet. FREAKING HELL my shoe was completely soaked through and the dye was seeping onto my foot. I looked at my pile of work and thought- hmm I'll do this first and then head down to Nine West at lunch.
- Lunch time- my feet are now black. Quite literally. And my team and I are meeting over lunch to "catch up".
- I sneak out after and buy a pair of shoes. $139 + waterproofer ($8). I hope these last. That only took 5 minutes.
- Then it was really good for a few hours. Coffee machine started working again- I got my cap and my spirits brightened when I got a few invitations to play words with friends (iPhone is damn awesome)
- Time to go home. It was raining. Rohan didn't let me buy an umbrella. HE LITERALLY DRAGGED ME AWAY FROM THE UMBRELLA STAND >: (
- Fell over again for the second time! I was trying to step over some water (to prevent my NEW shoes from getting wet) and overestimted my flexibility and landed on my ass. At this point I was beyond crying and was just marvelling at my bad luck.
- Then R and I had a pleasant journey on the train ride home.
:( Is this Karma?

I'M BACK
After a weekend of:
- BOOZEY PEOPLE
- LEOPARD PRINT
- RAIN
- SCREAMING and DANCING the calories away
SO SO SO SO SO GLAD.
Dear electricity, I missed you. Dear reception & 3G, I missed you more. Dear clean bathroom & readily available hot water, you're damn awesome. And dear bed, I MISSED YOU THE MOST.
I don't think I'll be able to walk tomorrow. I've been limping all afternoon, and each time I get up after resting, my muscles feel more sore.
Can't believe it's time to get back to work already. I feel so exhausted!
Have a super week y'all. Namaste.
P.S. The Friday song is really catchy! I mean, I admit, she sounds like she's singing out of her nose and the lyrics are really shit (I can't sugar coat this- or not swear), but I think I like it! :O

i know i havent packed my flip flops... mm. but i think i'll wake my parents if i tiptoe through the hallway to the shoe rack :'( BUT I DONT WANT TO FORGET IT TOMORROW MORNING.
Damnit. I'm gonna wake up tomorrow and do a last min check + pack my thongs + finish my tute hw. =_=; 3 tutes. killerrrrr.
ok enough whinging. WHAT HAPPENED TODAY (haven't done this in yonks!)
1. Woke up freaking early to get to the rocks at 7.30 was really dark.
2. Met my team at the Rocks cafe and had breakfast. I had a blueberry pancake with vanilla infused marscapone and hot chocolate. Costed $20. Conclusion: breakfast in the rocks is a rip. Should have gone with eggs benedict I think. >:( why does breakfast cost more than lunch?
3. Work
4. Cabbed it back to the office in time to head to the Irish Pubs with R & M before heading to my uni lecture.
5. Didn't end up going to uni.
6. Ate dinner at seedy underground foodcourt.
7. Met W + friends near central, and they were heading to sushi train, so I hopped on board and yay 2nd dinner.
8. Bussed home and PACKED.
Not really. I don't know why it takes so long.
and i'm so tired now :'(
(add me on words with friends, I kinda suck, but... its ok! I don't mind losing!)
ok i'll shut up and get back to my journal entries. D: SO DAMN REPETITIVE AND BORING AS HELL. :(

Meltdown
Hi All,
AHHH the world is falling apart! A tectonic plate shifts, causes huge tremors and giant walls of water kill over 1,000 people.
This world is just too cruel.
1. Earthquake
2. Aftershock
3. More aftershocks
4. Tsunami
Fark you tectonic plates. Stop moving!
Anyway, on a much brighter note, I'm going away next weekend- 40 minutes away from Sydney. Spending 2 nights in Wisemen's ferry with a uni camp.
Really have no expectations.
Jungle theme party. (They put in brackets, "Cougars welcome".)
Will hope for the best and have a good time!
In the meanwhile, hope you all had a lovely weekend and a not-so-frantic (super long readings) week at uni!
Cheerios!

Full day at uni today and it isn't as chollas as I thought it would be. Breaks = time to do tute hw I should have done last night.
Grrrr weekend, couldn't you come quicker?

Peer pressure
It's hilarious. Vulgar and crude, but hilarious.
Anyway, today, I spent ages and ages waiting for a train to take me home. :'( But apparently someone jumped in front of a train at Petersham. GAAARRRGHHH! STOP JUMPING INFRONT OF TRAINS.
>: ( It's so incredibly frustrating.

TOO MUCH COFFEE
Hello all,
I had coffee after I got up. Had coffee while waiting for my train. Coffee before my night lecture, and coffee after dinner.
OMG.
In my last cup of coffee L thought it would be funny to add all 5 packs of sugar in my (ALREADY SUGARED) Mocha.
Hence, it is almost 1.45am and I am still awake.
TOOOO AWAKE.
I have resorted to reading my economics textbook.
zz. up to page 75 now.
But I'm shivering from all this caffeine and sugar running through my blood. This feels horrible. But it tasted so good. Perhaps it is time to invest in a coffee machine...
Actually, I wanted to go to Azuma.. for a nice piece of cake, but there were no seats available even when we waited for ages and ages and ages.
