Expecto patronum

So. I'm sick. Ha. Yeah.

Why?

Cos I was out playing with sparklers in the rain. According to D, if you breathe in tar fumes when it rains you get sick VERY easily.

Two Chinese ladies just got on the train. One's pushing a pram with her son in it and the other looks like her mother. They proceed to enter the carriage seating area and stick the pram in the middle of the train aisle.

We all get on at epping, and we all know people need to alight and board at Eastwood. The pram creates a mini traffic jam and the younger of the two ladies decide its probably better to stand where there are no seats. The older lady remains sitting in a seat Nr me and keeps her bag on the other seat not letting anyone to sit down cos she's saving it for her daughter? I don't understand. I really hate it when anyone does this. If you really want to push a pram onto the train, don't take the express cos there aren't any seats on the ground level of the carriage. Ok great. She pushed the pram back in the middle of the aisle.

Is it just me, or is this a really Asian thing they're doing? Am i just really intolerant of my race? I need to work on this. :(

At work, my senior sent me home early as my mission was to bake (and she had a hot date). They smell so goood. Dunno if our neighbors are asleep right now, but I'd love to offer them some.

These were the softest most delicious cakes I've ever baked in my WHOLE life.

This week I ate...

Mammoth BLT from Charlie & Co ($10 cheap as brahh).

Home made red velvet + turdy and stringy cream cheese icing. Brought it to work and was the most popular person in the WF audit room.

I also baked 12 banana bread cupcakes and it was so delicious it was all gone before I could take a photo.

A choc + cream cheese icing babycake. The red heart was made of fondant and was absolutely DELISHUS! Valentines day cakes trump roses anyday.

Box of chocolates. Also very nice. The draft set of financials underneath is also very nice.

Anyway, these are all reasons why I need to go for a long run tomorrow morning. Making another batch of red velvet cakes tomorrow. If I can find bananas at home I'm gonna make more of that Banana bread cos it was so good.

K & A say I'm making them fat. Not my fault they have no self control!

Simple things taken for granted

I figured we take alot for granted.

When you wake up in the morning, you don't really think 'gee I hope the person I sit next to on the train has brushed their teeth'. But once you're in that situation, you probably regret planting your bottom in that single seat left in the carriage. Man. Commuting sucks. We're in a three sweater rubbing shoulders and honestly I haven't felt so uncomfortable in ages. :'(

But this is tonnes better than the time I hit stuck next to a sleeping guy who releases gas from time to time.

Call me cheesy

Call me cheesy, but after scanning george street quickly, and seeing the number of people holding hands, bouquets, and long stemmed roses i feel super warm and fuzzy inside. Ahaha!

I feel this valentines day was more fun for me (cupcake!!)! Alot happened at work today and I'm $180 richer today - thank you casual rates!! The fact that I caught up with C and D last night also helps :)

ANYWAY! Hope you all are having a beautiful valentines day (valentine or no valentine).

Ps to those who keep whining about not having a valentine, turn on some BSB and be your own!! No more whining!!

Caught in the act!

Someone was obviously having too much fun reliving childhood times. My mattress is like a trampoline!! D finally took apart my (bunk) bed and I can finally sit up (and jump) in my bed.

Anyway, on a really vain topic- I need to change something. I gotta stop dressing like a Korean. At Bavarian today the waitress kept telling me her best friend was Korean.

X- hey do you mind telling me what Nash you are? Are you Korean? You look Korean.
B- no I'm Chinese.
X- oh ok. My best friend's Korean
B- oh. Ok. Cool (story bruv)

Anyway, please excuse my embarrassing sheets. My pretty espirit sheets are in the wash and I don't want to fork out another $140 for some Egyptian cotton stuff. I spend more time in my work clothes than lying in bed so I may as well invest more in my clothes ;D

I'm really sad this place closed down. Where else am I supposed to find REAL blue bubblegum icecream? A keeps bragging about its bubblegummy goodness and now I don't know a place that sells this anymore.

Dear people of blogosphere, do you know anywhere that sells bright blue icecream? None of that rainbow goodness. I want the real deal!

Ps, I just realised I hang out with alot of people who's names start with A. :/

Special announcement

 I'd like to announce that the foodie in me has died. I will suppress that dark side for as long as possible so I can save up enough money to go skiing.

The feeling from drowning my tastebuds in aromatic coffee or suffocating them with rich velvety cake icing will never meet the sweet, sweet adrenaline I get from speeding down a steep snowy field.

I have a need for speed. A serious, delirious, need for speed.

But I really do miss my cap and frothy milk. Machines are just different.

Anyway, digressing again.

I'm tracking well on my new years resolutions. I think.

I have slimmed down, and have stuck by my 2day/week vegan code. Infact, I had soy caps and salads for 5 days straight before my churrasco reservation (at Bossanova, which, get this, was CLOSED when we all got there... family emergency apparently. So devo).

I haven't really gone out to exercise, after my puking stunt in the local park. I am scared to show my face around there now.

Drafted my timetable and figured that I might actually have 4 days of uni - gym membership at uni? It may be a good idea.

ANYWAY. I NEED TO SAVE MONEY. WHY DO I KEEP THINKING OF WAYS TO THROW IT ALL AWAY D:

damnit. I need to find a new job.

two years on

Woke up yesterday to a msg from A telling me to have a lovely day and "ps, happy anniversary petal".

And it hit me.

I'm not happy. Or satisfied.

Infact, I am unsatisfied. I'm not doing what I want, and I don't know what I want.

It's been two years. I thought I would have figured it out by now. But I haven't.

this is so cute i think my eyes will bleed.

I've never thought about getting an owl as a pet.

Good ol' Sunday clean up

Apart from a big bag of stuff to sort through, my room is the cleanest it's ever been. 

Fumigated and sterilized. Dusted, mopped and steamed. Dedicated an entire day to clean. So happy right now. I can finally stop sleeping in the living room :D

Next Sunday = sort out that pile of crap and deal with old books/magazines I my bookcase. I threw out all my old uni stuff/textbooks, notes and slides. Feels like I've just chucked an old chapter of my life away. :( I'm seriously the biggest hoarder ever. 

Anyway, I'm still working at Pitt street tomorrow, so I won't be home till late- wont be able to enjoy the cleanliness of my room until late. :(

I cracked up as soon as I started reading the menu. You know how sometimes Asian restaurants have funny/misspelled names of dishes, I find that Thai restaurants are the worst serial offenders. Will update with captions later!

The windowseat

When I look out, I can see the other side of the office. Lol. Not much of a window seat, but I don't mind.

Didn't have much foresight this morning. I'm freezing. The vain-er side of me decided to pair a silk blouse with a skirt + cardi. BUT IT'S FREEZING!

Glad I left my scarf/throw at work last night. (took me 20 mins to hail a cab zzz)

Another long night.

Lots of interesting things happened at work today. People are restless, tired, and sick of doing the same stuff all week. At the very end of the day, literally, conversations become more liberal, actions are more careless and tempers are released.

Glad to be home. I feel like I've aged a year in the past two weeks. So sleep deprived.

I blogged about my experience being trapped in the lifts at work, but emailed it to the wrong account. Will send it through another day.
