Was it fun? Was it?
In hindsight, I guess it wasn't so bad. I got to see the people I would be working with in the future, and I feel like my future is in safe hands. But I feel so tired. Today, I had to be a sponge. Hour long presentations and listening to feedback/discussions drained me. Honestly, I felt like I haven't done this in ages/ever before. Never this intense.
:O Nostrils!
I did not expect to take a laptop home on the first day. That was interesting. But then it became slightly bothersome. I don't use HALF the programs they have installed on it. Lotus... yes. Lotus. Whatever happened to Outlook?!
I came home- treated blisters, ate a bit, and fell asleep. Later, I decided to figure out how to use Lotus and other things on the new Dell (yes. Dell. at least it's aesthetically appealing). I had 73 unread emails. So I spent ages filtering through everything, and discovered I have client work after my official cadet training. Woop. At West Homebush- and apparently I'm allowed to take a taxi (on the firm ;) from Strathfield.. or something like that.
Unfortunately for me, I have a fear of entering taxis. I blame my parents for renting The Bone Collector back when I was wee lass.
BUT I AM TIRED> And so I will sleep. (unlike last night. I couldn't sleep and ended up watching Homeless to Harvard which is supposed to be an inspirational story, but just made me feel crap about myself.)
Hope day 2 will be less intense. 8) I'll keep you guys posted.

7 screams of joy:
belle is busy as ever!! but wow..free laptop =O free taxi rides =O
Good luck Belle :)
I WANT A FREE LAPTOP!

WOW first day at work! Hope it's fun.. and not too tiring :P
Goodluck!
Have fun having EY-specialmessenger conversations with Edward Lu. Seems he has quite a reputation already :P
Hope you're not too tired my dumbelle :) AND SEE YOU SOON.
Bone Collector kicks ASS. It was actually the book that got me into forensics, and even though I soon found out things aren't like the book, I still loved it.
