Love eggs. So versatile. For brunch, I had silky egg pudding. When I woke, I was the only one at home, so I felt a bit dis-incentivized to make a full brekkie with hashbrowns and sunny egg on bacon. Lots of washing up to do with that. Instead, I cracked two eggs into my serving bowl, chucked in 2 teaspoons if raw sugar, 3/4 cup of milk, mixed with a pair of chopsticks and microwaved it on high for 2 mins with a plate resting on top of it. Ugly, but so quick, so smooth and so quick to clean up.
Ready for a fulll afternoon of study!!
5 screams of joy:
this isnt the asian version right.. cos i only know taht one haha. we call it dan tang..egg soup.
My mum used to make a sort of version of that when I got sick, but used chicken soup and some other stuff. Man that's good stuff, I want some now.
That is...foul! Absolutely revolting!!!
:P
Meanwhile yesterday I enjoyed a beautiful breakfast fry up: one slice of toast with nutella, 3 rashers of fried bacon, 2 eggs sunny side up and one fried tomato.
Delicious!
My mum makes dan geng, which is steamed.
I don't really know which version this is, haha my mum used to make the steamed version (that SL) mentioned, but I use the microwave because it's so much more convenient.
I always add extra milk so there's this eggy custard at the bottom which dissolvea the sediment sugar while it's cooking. My fave part :D
Egg pudding > sunny eggs on bacon... Actually, no, you can't compare the two bcos they're completely different!
