Camels, sheep and 1m long pizza

Had the best lunch break ever today.

Allow me to explain.

So when I walked into World Square this morning, I saw them setting up a marquee tent with Sex in the City 2 posters stuck up everywhere.  Her signature white dress of the film is hanging up on a mannequin, so I thought I would be seeing Sarah Jessica Parker in from of Marcs during my lunch break.

But I was wrong.  I took an early lunch with a cadet, an intern and a bunch of grads. I walked into world square and SAW A CAMEL OMG! Then went super high because- I mean seriously, it's not everyday you get to see a camel on your lunch break!

We ate at Mr B's (by the way, the $10 thai/jap lunches are no longer $10, but $12! Just FYI :) and then after bumming for a bit we headed back into the office to do some "work" on a Friday afternoon.  If you are wondering why M & I are in casual, it's CASUAL DAY TODAY! I.e. clean up the junk in the office.  A good example shown below.

This desk cannot be used due to the huge-frickin-normous amount of paper/files on it. Crazy.  It is also missing a chair.  After our clean up session, the desk was clear, and a chair was allocated to this poor lonely desk.  Also, far far in the bg, you may see many cartons of Boags/Pure Blondes.  Due to finishing my work 1 day early (yesterday), I pretty much had nothing to do today, so helped out with the cleaning of the above desk, and the unpacking/icing of the aforementioned beers.

But before that, I headed out to get a glimpse of the new Westfield. In my opinion, I don't really see what's so great about the new Westfield EXCEPT THERE ARE GOING TO BE FREAKING HEAPS OF SHOPS SOON! YAY!  I wish it was closer to the office :(  but it's only about 15 min walk away.  On the way back, I bought a cake.

Hi Baabaa Sheep!

Yes, at this point, my day was pretty fantasmo.

Just to recap, what I had done up till that point:
  1. Saw a camel
  2. Got a photo WITH the camel
  3. Had pad thai for lunch.. AGAIN
  4. Saw the camel AGAIN
  5. Saw the new shops
  6. Bought a sheep cake
  7. Month end drinks
Month end drinks is always good. I end up seeing colleagues for the first time in weeks because we're always stuck at the clients'.

Anyway, afterwards I get a buzz from who else but Borbs who is impatiently waiting for us in the lobby to go to dinner. Our walk there was highly entertaining, as he serenaded (more like spammed) us with "Now if you want to take a picture of the fascinating witches who put the scintillating stitches in the britches of the boys who put the powder on the noses of the faces of the ladies of the harem of court King Caractacus YOU'RE TOO LATE!!!!!!  BECAUSE THEY JUST PASSED BY!".

Before today, I had NEVER heard this ridiculous little song before, but it's quite catchy :)

ANYWAY, after our walk, where do we end up?

CRINITIS!

We ordered:
1m long pizza with three different toppings.

Wedges

AND I FORGOT TO TAKE A PIC OF THE PORK BBQ RIBS WE HAD.  But man, it was so good, I feel like I can still taste the bbq in my mouth. OMG I WANT MORE. I WANT TO GO TO HURRICANES!

For all those that don't know, Crinitis charges cakeage- meaning they charge a fee if you bring a cake and cut it in the restaurant (which is reasonable I think), and they send you singing/bongo playing men to drum a err whatever cultural version of happy birthday. Hawhaw.  Because we didn't want to be billed extra, we told them to NOT bring out our cake and we just want to borrow their fridge for a few hours.

After dinner, we headed to the Harbour, sang 'happy birthday', cut the sheep and I napped while the others cuddled up to their other halves, or went to watch an asian street performer pretend to swallow a burning torch.  At that point, I felt quite pooped out, as I had woken up especially early to get to training this morning, and I guess all the excitement of seeing a camel and eating a sheep cake kinda got to me, so I departed and took the train home.

When I was on the train, (listening to SHINee of course), a bunch of asian guys were dragging an unconsicous looking guy onto the train. They smelt STRONGLY of liquor and were loud and rowdy.  As a result, I moved into the upper carriage so I could play NudeRunner and Coin Frenzy in peace.  Turned out that guy wasn't as unconscious as I thought, because halfway through my train ride, I heard him wretch and cough and spew. Hahahaaa. Lucky me.

ANYPOOS. When I got home, it was about 10.40 and there was a package waiting for me (YAY! BEST FRIDAY EVER, RIGHT?)  I was opening it up, thinking it was Eat, Pray, Love ,or Grimms Fairy Tales, or the short story "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button", OR a second copy of Tom Sawyer (left my copy in Orange when I went there for a bs trip earlier this year). BUT IT WASN'T. Infact, it was a purchase which I forgot I made, but I'm very glad I have it. It's quite entertaining.

Presenting...

The playbook!

Ok. So I guess this book wouldn't really come in handy for me ;D but being quite a fan of the show, I felt quite obligated to buy the book as it was under AUD 10.

So congrats to me, overall a very good day.  Perfect end to an up&down week!

Now, to finish my marketing poster and hopefully I'll be able to go out this weekend.

Hope you all have a nice weekend!

Dancing Men, MAIL, Back to Civs

Firstly, I'd like to share with everyone some crappy photos I took yesterday during lunch.  It was a surprise performance for Ruilong's 18th, as you have probably read HERE and HERE , so I cbb elaborating further.  Plus you were probably there. XD
SO MUCH FLASHING.
Duncan's head in the way.
That's all the photos I have for this.  VIDEO. will be uploaded? :) I'll be shoving some stuff together and putting it up on Vimeo with no tags, so hopefully virtually no one will see it except you lot. :D I'll keep you posted.
NEXT EXCITING THING: MAIL MAIL MAIL :D 2 days ago, thanks to Nuffnang, I got this in the mail:

:D THANKS NUFFNANG!
I had the juice at school today and well, it was strange and new, but totally refreshing. Esp since I took it out of the fridge. A new drink from Spring Valley- I think, I've never seen it before. Black tea with Blackberry and Vanilla.
I love trying different shampoos/food/etc so this was great. I just love getting mail. MAILMAILMAIL :D Also got a simmer sauce I can use to make dinner, and a $10 gift card to complete the Nuffnang 1000 challenege.  I think I might be a bit late for that. :( The package got here later than I expected. But I'll do the challenge nevertheless.
ALL YOU NEED TO DO, IS SIGN UP HERE. If you want of course. Read more about Nuffnang, it's interesting.
WHAT HAPPENED TODAY?
WE PASSED OUT!
I'd like to say LOL at my mother's efforts to take some good quality photos. ;D Most are quite blurry but are not too bad when viewed from very far away.
Here are a couple of the not-as-blurry photos. Gosh. When I was selecting them, they all looked the same. So green. XD
made a mistake here, right in the beginning. XDXD
1 platoon.
3 platoon & flagparty
2 platoon & guest of honour
the ants go marching 2 by 2 hurrah hurrah
:) I loled when I saw this. :( My head looks so tiny.
Flagparty SUCKED (except James, Jen, Mawson and Tim- they were awesome)
I thought this was an interesting photo
"ITS OVER!"
My favourite part: LUNCHEON.
Exhibit A; Milo being a gayass like he has been for the past couple of years. Check out his expression.
SCONES!
MM jam scones. I had to pretend to take photos of people so the officers wouldn't find me weird or anything. T_T: my parents still think its strange.
:/ So stoned
Some other year 12s
:) CUO, CSM and SGT
Whoever owns those fingers, own up. I'm coming after you. That was a good photo and you ruined it.
And instead of the nice one, this one happened. D:
:) HTL!
PORTUGUESE TART
I always buy these from Puffy :/ but someone told me they were crap. D: I think they're okay!
Err. Raspberry friand I think.  The inside was pinkish, but I guess you can't really see from the photo.  It was really nice and dense.
I took two more tarts, passionfruit custard and er Walnut something. Probably custard too. Haven't eaten them yet and they got squished in my bag (take away!) so yeah no photos xD
Will miss cadets, but I guess I'll love the free time on Monday afternoons now :D
5 years. Hell yeah. Crazy times. :) Actually, when I think about it, in my junior years, everything was really easy and basically all lessons and yeaaah. Apparently things are different within other units.  I had no idea until I met people from all over the state at Singleton.
Barrengary House
Freaaaaaking !! Some other school has exactly the same house! Which one was it?
I think we're the only one with the funny shaped Lblock though.  It's actually really artyfarty and it always reminds me of those cruise ships :/ the ones with circular windows along the side. Hehe.
I'm hoping someone else will erm blog about this. I haven't covered very much.  All I can say is that it was REALLY hot, and Nicole and I got yucky sweaty palms and we were desperately wiping them on our pants so that Mr Morris wouldn't have to shake a damp hand. No luck. Polyester isn't very good at soaking water.
yes. Polyester. I'm so glad I don't really have to dress up in that uniform ever again. I never got a girl. I wore a boy shirt ALL these years.  Freaking boyshirts have TAILS down the front and the back, so when I tuck in my shirt I have to smooth everything down to almost my knees (exaggerated of course, but you know what I mean).
After I hand in my polyester gear, I will no longer have anything to do with cadets.
Unless I don't end up going to HK and spend another annual with cadets in TASMANIA. :D Aeroplane wiht friends?! :O Fun, no doubt.
I seem to have a lot of photos to post up all the itme. :/
Who's continuing with the myopia thing? I haven't read through it yet- do we get some sort of erm. reward like last time? XD
Dates at the top of my head
Saturday 5th Sep: HSC JAP EXT, UNSW open day AANND Dinner at Kirribili or something thing like that. SHAUN, GIMME MORE DETAILS PLOX. My parents are hounding me.
Sunday 20th Sep: Blackmores (unless it's the 19th)
Monday 21st September = Cadet dinner at the Epping Club. :) By then I'll be old enough to order some kind of alcoholic drink :O
I need to go to Wagaya again. Or Fujiya. Omg. I really want to try out all these jap places in the city.  But places like Fujiya and Wagaya are only fun with lots of people right?  You get the awesome VIP rooms. :D
Okay. I'm rambling now.  Have a good week everyone :) Enjoy it. Omg. Balmoral soon. :D FUNFUNFUN

PS  SHAUN'S IN TOWN.

i. First Official Post

WARNING: If you're capped- like Nathan and many others, I'm sorry but this post is chocablock full of photos. :D  For those who aren't, please enjoy your stay.
I used to blog here, and here. But I decided Wordpress.org was too hard to use, :'( So I've come crawling back.  I'm so glad I have the updated (but slow) blogroll. It's better than nothing.

Anywho. To start off with a BANG! Here's something that happened today.  Well, not today, but ABOUT EIGHTEEN YEARS AGO some baby took it's first breath.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SLOO!  If you want these pictures to be censored/taken off just ping/msg me and I'll do it asap. Actually, on second thoughts, I won't post up today's birthday photos yet. I'll leave that for another day. Got a lot of censoring to do. STAY TUNED to see some beautiful faces.. and Winnie's cake. :D IT WAS SUPRISINGLY GOOD, but more about that tomorrow.

Yesterday's photos.  Lately I've begun bringing my camera everyday again (after I forgot to bring it to Jazz I just felt like it should be in my bag every single day).  Yesterday was the end of speeches and just um. Nothing much else.

Photobucket

Jasmine giving her 20/20 speech and :O-ing at me because I was taking a lovely photo.

Photobucket
lol Ambert

Photobucket
The metal grids they have on the windows are so dusty.  I don't remember why I took a photo of this... I guess because it looks like they're doing something illegal. :/

Photobucket
Michael and Carol.  Apparently I'm supposed to take a photo of Michael everyday :/ starting yesterday. Not sure if I got one of him today xD  This is what we did in English. T_T;

Photobucket
:)

That's the end of that. Not very interesting. English never is.

YESTERDAY MORNING I FOUND THIS IN THE MAILBOX

Photobucket
Woooo! Soup.

Photobucket
Inside contents. Lawson Bread booklet, postcards, $25 voucher to buy Lawson Bread. :D Oh and 2 calico bags that I can use to buy bread, said the letter.

Photobucket
:) Apparently Lawson's bread takes TWICE as long to bake, thus allowing the flavours to fully develop. I can't wait until I get to try it. Hopefully I'll be able to get it tomorrow afternoon-> Sunday morning breakfast.

Photobucket

:)  I love getting mail.

On Sunday, I plan to wake early, go for a run (omg I need it, to re-fit myself lol), come back and make a HUGE breakfast for family (+ cuz IF YOU'RE UP FOR IT.)  Photos will be taken, and I'll show you all what Lawson's bread is like. I've never had it before. :D CAN'T WAIT.

Computer was being an a-hole again so my uploading failed. =_=;

WHAT HAPPENED TODAY?
Got up at the same time as my sister, but she hogged the bathroom, so I just stood around in my uniform with FREAKING MANEY HAIR.  I have no idea what I do in my sleep, but when I wake up, I always look like someone's spent the whole night teasing my hair :(  I make breakfast in the kitchen and I see my sister walk into the kitchen, so I bolt to the bathroom. BUT ALAS, my dad has taken over. =__=;

WHY?!

And he takes ages too cos he has to shave!  Nyeaah. By the time I get to school, I see Michael on the oval in fitness gear. I change and Drew meets us and we run 2 laps.  they run 2 laps, while I jog slowly. WHAT THE HECK! I knew I was unfit, but NOT LIKE THIS. D: This is horrendous.  They went on to run more laps later, but I thought that was too much for me, so I just cycled. 8)  The cycling er bikes that don't move (treadmills? HAHA) were fun, until my legs hurt alot.  5 minutes later, I looked at the setting and realised I was cycling with RESISTANCE. D:  So I switched it back to 0 resistance and cycled. :( My legs hurt. :( :( :(  Favourite part would have to be skipping. Not much thought needed, and I used to skip every night. Dootdidoot. I should continue, but NO TIME! (youtube is more important).  Also did sit ups. Pain. PAAAIIN.

So that was all before school started.

Then we had class. AND I HAD 3 FREES. WOO!
During the 2nd free, Chris, Shaun and I were coming up with the main structure of our unofficial year book.
Photobucket
This is Shaun hard at work. (DUDE, when do we get to read your blog!)

Photobucket
Chris taking photos of a puppet.

Photobucket
Chris molesting the puppet

then LUNCH.

Photobucket
:D I swear I used to see Sam everyday, but now I only get to see her a couple of times a week. xP

Photobucket
DAFFODIL DAY organised by Prefects 09-10. It was interesting to watch, but I think our one was better :D  Setting up Musical Chairs

Photobucket
Selling jelly and daffodils. For some reason, I got a shatass bunch of daffodils in the morning :( They were withered and 2 were rotting already ;D So I complained and got super nicer looking ones. *content*  Thanks Cabbage & Shi-Ling :)

Photobucket

Freaking computer just froze again. TWICE in 2 hours. Are you kidding me. *foams at the mouth*

Senior common room.  Not as packed as the beginning of the year, but still as stinky as ever.

Photobucket
Couch crew.  I swear, Neha & Campbell are always on the couch!

Photobucket
Borbor and Christine dancing. Not a very good pic.  I have a video.  VOTE IN THE COMMENTS. WHO WANTS TO SEE THE VIDEO? Dancing to Gee :)

Photobucket
Mayer's fish. D: It's so lively, so hard to take a focussed photo. This was the only non blurry one I took, out of the ... 15 or so. T_T;

Photobucket
Funny story. While Christine, Quentin and I were sitting down taking photos, Borbor was lurking about the place, pushing obscure buttons. !! DUN DUN DUN. THEN the entire W block had no electricity. HEHE. I'm not saying he has anything to do with it, :) but it was so funny because Best came around to see whether we had lost electricity, "did you have a black out too?"; we all exchanged shifty expressions! ! XD So great.  In the end, it was all fixed, and we were continuing to burn coal.

SPIDER IN THE ROOM

Photobucket
Yuck yuck yuck

Photobucket
It climbed onto the chair and Bosco had to get rid of it. D:

Photobucket
While he was that, we were taking photos :D

Photobucket

TO FINISH OFF THE DAY, a super bright photo.  Today's weather was hothothot!  It felt like summer again. Lovely.

Tomorrow is HSC JAP SPEAKING at Ravenswood Girls High. The school is frickin gorgeous and huge and waaah *O*  so nice. Ahhh Northern Suburbs.  Afterwards, most of us will be venturing into the city; more specifically, USYD for their Open Day which will be fun.  I still remember last year's quite clearly. 8) Just the few of us rushing to all the comm related seminars. XD

After that, Mindy said something about dinner for the girls, but I don't know whether my ears were just making that up so er yeah. :) I'm looking to save as much moolah as possible for the next couple of happy weeks though. Hehe. Need to save some money so I can SPENDSPENDSPEND overseas where I get more for less.

Good luck all the Jap people :) DO YOUR BEST!

To make this more dialup friendly I omitted some photos. :/  Birthday ones will come later.

:) ttfn!
