Celebration

The lead up to last night was intense, but I'm super happy with how everything turned out.  Posting a few photos from the party to take a break from writing my finance essay (eugh. Finance? Essay? eugh never thought I'd hear those two words in one sentence).

Anyway, before I go any further, thanks to everyone who turned up and dressed up.  My heart leaped with joy everytime I saw someone in costume walk through the doors. I had a fantastic time catching up with old pals and meeting new (crazy) people.  And very special thanks to our special helpers on the night! Wouldn't have been able to do all this without you guys <3 p="p">

we were so meant to grow up in the states

Friday was a day of blood, sweat and tears.  I fought like hell with M's sewing machine from 8.30am until 1am the next day (I did take breaks in between... but still!).  Who knew a simple design could be so difficult to actually make.  FYI, it is actually a legit item of clothing.  I even have darts on the front and back for contouring to my body shape. It is nothing compared to W's actual WMHS cheer uniform, but I'm pretty happy with my clothes-making skills.

thank you!
I also got the bestest gifts ever. Seriously, my friends RULE.

Giant-ass cake.
Really giant. It didn't fit into a shopping centre trolley, and I almost died carrying it for 100m down George Street.

Croquembouche
Since W and I were spending big bucks already, we figured we would treat ourselves to luxurious baked goods.  This is my first ever croquembouche.  I've wanted to try this since I saw it on Masterchef.  HOWEVER, I am so disappointed.  Maybe it was just this bakery, but it just didn't seem... right?  I think I've been spoilt for choice lately.  I've had so much cake in the past week.
OPP CHEERS - I really like this photo!

Photo of a photo taken the morning after. It's nice to wake up with friends!
After the party, a few of us went out for some extra fun and boy, did a lot of interesting things happen.  I swear, everytime I stay out late, there will be a story to tell at the end. Last night/ this morning was no exception.  But all in all, super fun, would totes do it again. #yolo
How I actually spent my birthday. K calls this the 'forever alone' pic.

Other cakes consumed during the week.  The probability of me getting diabetes has increased tenfold.
Thank you C!

Combination of: Sweet potato cake, blueberry yoghurt cake, strawberry sponge cake, fruit sponge, black forest and green tea!

White chocolate cupcakes with raspberry filling from J - superly delicious.

Had too much fun last night and I'm paying for it today.  My legs are killing me (hawhaw Shark Hotel at 1 in the morning) and I think I slept funny because my neck doesn't feel normal.

BUT NO REGRETS!

Back to my essay now.  Peace out chikadees and chikadoos :)
