Fact:
My sister says I have a very good Lois Griffin voice. *smug smile* Dearest Seth MacFarlane- if her voice actor dies anytime, twitter me. I'll be there.  I know the song off by heart. :D IM SO DAMN GOOD AT JINGLES!

And Nursery Rhymes- WHICH, apparently, our generation is reallyyy bad at. When I was a kid, I had this nursery rhyme sticker book and I read it like everyday :D Freaking awesome. I loved it.  The illustrations were smad. Especially for the Hey Diddlediddle one.

Today I made a list of places to visit in Shanghai with my sister.  I've been reading the Lonely Planet guides for Shanghai and HK.  These included:

  • French Concession
  • MUSEUMSS
  • Aquarium
  • Omg safari in CHINA? I bet it's really tame ==;
  • Theatre
  • Hokkaido indoor ski slope *wiggle in chair*
  • JinJiang Amusement Action Park
  • Cybermart
  • HAIR DRESSERS (hehehe)
Mostly looking forward to visiting anything related to the French Concession.. and the hair dressers. Lots cheaper. hehehehehehe.

Last time we went to China, we visited Suzhou as well. Oh my gosh. it was one of those Chinese tours that drove us around to all the shoppy places around :( If only I knew a person who grew up in Suzhou. The views were quite pretty.  The tea leaves were quite tasty. We watched a man cook tea leaves (green tea --> black tea), watched people make silk - step by step demonstration and we took lots of photos with rock carvings and waterviews :D

Hopefully this time we'll get to visit Hangzhou. Apparently they have interesting-ish night markets and eating is not bad. Must visit Louwailou Restaurant :D MOST FAMOUS IN HANGZHOU ♥ thanks lonely planet. Another place my dad suggested was "mow-seck" Wuxi.. One of my favourite TVB series- Rosy Business was set there, hehehe.  However, Rosy Business was about stuff that happened centuries ago. So Yeah. No more mud brick houses- more high rise buildings and cement roads. Woo!

Any good suggestions?

PS. Did you know GG cast date each other. :O WUT. Hehehe.

Didnt you know that Blake Lively and your lover boy dated each other? :o

slow... :p

But then again. Summer (Rachel Bilson) and Seth (Adrian Brody) dated each other when they did the OC.
Twas awkward when they broke up....totally understandable.

Hangzhou is beautiful...like...yeah it's a great place if you know where to go. I'd like to see what it looks like when you wiggle in your chair...o.O

+1 Hangzhou was like a breath of fresh air after the pollution of Shanghai.
Beautiful, rich in history etc. etc. plus their dialect is close enough to shang ^_^ to understand
and the famous local dishes om nom nom

think there's a saying: hangzhou for food, suzhou for teh sights? and one more town.. for something. maybe shanghai for everything else lawl.

when are you going to be in shanghai?

Here's a suggestion: go to Taiwan. Har har. Show me your Lois voice.

My plan for my overseas trip is to:
a) Chill
b) Go on a NTG-style heritage quest, where I'm going to ask my grandma/grandpa about our heritage, track books/people down, and if possible arrange a trip to the archipelago where my mum grew up.

Hangzhou is indeed very beauitful. I went to the restaurant you mentioned. It's ridiculousyl overpriced but it's very fancy. Word of warning they close rather early at like 8pm? so you have to get in quick.

There's a free light show by the lake but I think most impressive was that Hangzhou resembled the streets of Paris with all the gltiz and glamour of D&G, Lacoste, LV and much more... it's really quite something.

Wuxi, on the other hand..>_>
It's....boring? We ended up floating around on this cruise all day long in the mist. :D

French Concession is just buildings! Go shopping at Nanjing Rd, Huaihai Rd, or Xujiahui. Omg shall discuss shanghai with u another time. :P

@EVERYONE : OHMYGAD READING ALL THIS HAS MADE ME SO EXCITED :D:D:D:D THANKS FOR ALL THE SUGGESTIONS!

@DARTH: HERITAGE (and FOOD & PHOTOS) FOR MEEE :D I would love to go to TW- my mum tells me it's a glorious place for quick eats. I think my dad hates the place because he's chinese. lol. BUT IM CHINESE-YISH TOO AND I LOVE THE THOUGHT OF GOING TO TAIWAN. Too bad it'll prolly be a couple of years from now before I can. :( Good luck on your fun adventure- wouldn't it be fun to find out your ancestors were like crazy pirates who accidently landed -oops stole this from TSN. :P

@BOSCO: Thanks for the advice borbor :D Glitz and glamour sound really good right now. Hehehe WALKING THROUGH SUPER EXPENSIVE STORES, provoking distasteful glances from the SA- awesssooomeee. Hope you're having fun starting summer school when I'm still holidaying :P

Hi Belle. Haha I don't have a blogspot. The blog you're referring to is my friend's blog which I 'follow' although not really.

Yes I will blog once I'm in China, if I can access it that is. Gah. You already have both links don't you? xD

@Lucy: i THINK i do. :| and oops. teehee- the blog you are a part of is PASSWORD PROTECTED ! D:

That blog is ridiculous anyway. Haha. It's filled with random hyperactive Year 7s posting in chat speak. 'OMGEEE. Itz a MAFZ TEST.' Gah. I can't believe I was once like that. How shameful.

Anyway, it's either:
insertwittytitle.wordpress.com (my first choice except I think it's blocked) OR lucygee.livejournal.com (the crappy but working alternative).
