Because it's holiday time- I get to enjoy the luxury of sleeping in and spending at least 30 mins preparing/having breakfast. These past few days, I've been having an egg & ham sandwich with a bowl of cereal and a glass of milk- it's kept me going until lunch. No morning tea break- no snacking :O The wonders of eating breakfast. I normally skip cos I love my sleep in the morning and wake late everyday.
Question: Does anyone use the back of a spoon to spread stuff- ie like a butter knife to butter bread? A couple of years ago, our family & 2 others went on this camping trip up on the Central Coast. In the morning we had breakfast and my duty was to butter the toast. I instinctively reached out to grab a spoon and proceeded to dip it into the butter and used the back of the spoon to butter the bread. When the 4 kids from the 2 other families saw, they were like "wtf lol" and thought it was ridiculous. The fact is, I've done it my entire life. I rarely use a butter knife to butter bread. I think spoons are really useful because they're super versatile.
When I was at Singleton last year, I was again laughed at for being a spoon kinda person. My knife was made redundant. I never needed it. The edge of my spoon could cut, it could scoop, it could stab (I'm a master-spoon user) and well, it could shovel really well. I used it for porridge, cereal, cutting up puts of potato and pumpkin, scooping up peas, etc.
IS IT ONLY ME?!
WHAT I LOVE SPOONS!
My favourite- sunny side up eggs.
1. Melt some butter in a hot frying pan.
2. Crack an egg onto it.
3. When it looks like the egg in the above picture, sprinkle a right amount of salt onto it.
4. Switch off the heat.
5. Use a ... what are they called.. a flat wooden spoon? (I used a fork) to flip it over and let it sizzle for a couple of seconds.
6. Serve
Or in my case...
PLONK IT ON SOME BREAD :D
I eat this every morning now. 2 slices of buttered white bread (I gave up on wholemeal- left a funny aftertaste), 4 slices of honey ham, generous amount of mayonnaise (mm), sunny egg with pepper. :) It's a great combination. Egg= good for brain :D excellent choice of food before exams.
Other brain foods are nuts and berries.. but I haven't had those in a while. Should stock up on those next week. Bahaha.

I was going to say something about Chupa Chups.. But I've temporarily forgotten, so digressing...
War paint
ISCF End of Term- Capture the Flag. I decided to tag along after spending some time at school studying that day. It was fun. Haven't done so much exercise in one day. (I have been playing with my dad's dumbells {shuddup} every night now, and seriously, I feel stronger than ever hahaha) I keep forgetting to bring my camera to important/fun events so I'm stuck with my shakey phone cam. At leasat you can still see Edward Scissorhands :D and Sam's pandas :D Actually- I have a similar toilet photo taken with Sam. I'll find it now..
R.I.P Silver Canon IXUS.
People told me I looked like a different person that day . D: I LOOK LIKE ME!
This was taken last weekend- the happy day I finally found my dress. Haha. It was awesome. HUGE moon cake. D stuck his hand into the photo to use as a "comparison". *cough* he has a huge hand. His fingers are at least 5-7cm longer than mine- so. Err. yeah. That's how big it is. If you want to see it for yourself- I hope it's still at Sussex Centre in Chinatown :D It was there when I visited on Wednesday so.. yeah :)
I REMEMBER NOW! I was going to talk about how my cousin was the face of chupa chups like 25+ years ago. Haha. Yes. I'll have to do some digging to see if I can find it again. M tells me my cousin V was a really chubby kid and all she had to do was to suck on the Chupa chup, pull it out and say "Chupa chup". Damnit. I wish I could have been a part of history like that :D I want to be in an advertisement (Not the Bonds Kaleidescope ones.. but I wouldn't mind KFC :D)
Speaking of KFC- I mentioned ages ago that they would have a new consumer product- Krushers or something - the ads are super annoying; but I really want to try the Golden Gaytime drink. I've never had a GG before. Back in the days when I used to be able to choose an iceblock to buy- I'd always choose the Rainbow Paddlepop (they're different nowadays). Anyway- I was just going to say; Krusher cups were one of D's project and he took the tester batch home- so we have alot of recycled plastic cups.
Producing recycled materials is actually a lot more expensive than making it from raw materials- and it's sold for much less, but in the manufacturing industry- if you can't make products from recycled materials- you can't do business with all the big companies- ie MacDonalds, KFC, Woolies. You need a specific type of machinery- access to used plastics, etc D: and alot of smaller manufacturing companies are dying fast. People are losing their jobs and the big companies like V*sy are getting bigger and bigger. I think it's almost a monopoly market now =___=; But alas, it cannot be helped if everyone wants to be "environmentally friendly". Only the big companies can survive- especially in our currently state (globally).
Oh I hate being capped. I've been capped for the past couple of days and it's been a pain to surf on my mob- I think I have pretty bad reception in my house, even though I live on top of a hill. T_T;
Anyway- hope you're all studying hard. Alot of you have been updating your blogs, my but I've been trying to load the pages for over 25 mins now- TAKEN AGES :@ I shall try again on Sunday- UNCAPPED BLISS.
CURRENT WANTS:

15 screams of joy:
Golden Gaytime is the Greatest !
I also don't have Success One Biology.
You do look different in that photo. I too breakfasted the past couple of days, but nowhere near as extravagant as yours. Just tackled a deer a took chunks of its raw flesh, as is the way of the predator.
Have a good weekend + rest of holiday (+ studying).
Nothing wrong with using a spoon, I sometimes do it because I ceebs getting out a knife =P
Business; s'all about the money >_>
gluck with the patience and the studyin =)
I LOVE eggs. What I didn't get about people in my pre-OC primary school was how hardly anyone liked eggs (all either hated them or said they hated to fit in haha).
Enjoy your study. atm 3u English is really stupid.
you definitely look different in the yr10 formal photo.
GIANT MOONCAKE D: i'd rather eat a giant bor lor bao though :) have you tried the bing pei (lit. ice skin) mooncakes? the smaller, white version that comes in many flavours... so yummmy =D
LOL i lovee my spoons :) the bigger the better. i use the same big metal serving spoon for dinner, ice cream, fruit but not butter D: what kinda strange person uses it for butter :P
Omg Chris remember when you came over and we had milkshakes? The other day I went to get some ice cream and the spoon we used last week was still in there - frozen. Zzzzz.
ERGH! And who the heck would wnat to eat such a huge mooncake! All that unhealthy lard and fat and horrible gooey stuff. My mum decided to go cheap this time and buy "Macau Special" branded moooncakes. But the irony is they're actually manufactured in dai look -_-. wtf?
I HATE BOR LOR BAO! The topping crumbles everywhere and I always end up very mess after eating them.
Your year 10 formal photo looks lovely :) I still laugh, thinking of how Ms Jenns purposely bought "nice toilet paper" just for that night because "the small things matter". Keke.
You look more like ... David Ma ! (keke)
I don't like mooncakes either.
@details: successssss onneeee longinggg. I DO NOT LOOK LIKE DAVID MA (anymore). >:( HMPH!
@darth: I WILL TRY YOUR TYPE OF BREAKFAST ONE DAY. :D Did you know, my ex-tutoree's parents dealt deer antlers to people in korea? NZ deer to be precise!
@Z-hang: :D SPOONS
@MS: I like eggs- but not too much? 3 eggs in one go is WAY too much- unless it's in a cake or something
@Krissybubbles: OBVIOUSLY I USE IT FOR BUTTERING BREAD! I've only ever eaten 1 type of mooncake- not really a fan of it actually. D: Lotus is kinda.. euughhhish
@borbor: face it- everything is made in dailook nowadays. the giant bor lor bao @ chatswood 85deg is REALLY nice :D REALLY REALLY nice. I used to hate borlorbao for the same reason though :) I don't remember there being really nice toilet paper at formal D: I don't remember peeing during hte night actually :P
had my first Golden Gaytime last month! the name put me off before, but they're so nice :D
my mum uses a spoon like a knife too D:
oo i'm studying off success one bio. borrowed from carlo lib, ofc :)
dont put salt on your eggs. =D eat less salt. eggs don't taste THAT plain.
Well Mawson, at Ruilong's house, Nathan decided to make omelettes without salt or anything else. It tasted funny. But it might've just been Ruilong's eggs since I eat eggs without salt.
Lotus mooncakes are nice :D but burn your mouth sometimes.
Give us a review of the Krusher if you try it.
try a library for success one. hoarding up 2 of them atm
golden gaytimes are soo good. mr best loves them
study hard :)
@moocho: YAY GO MRS MOOCHO :D SPOON LOVERS
@mawson: usually borrowed already. *sigh* so yerr. I might just buy 1 and sell later or something. T_T: Eat less salt?! Blasphemy D:
@Edsped:I NEVER EAT EGGS WITHOUT SALT- even if I forget to sprinkle with salt, I add it on later on. Hehehe.
@michael: HOARDING UP 2?!?!?!?! I should try one sometime soon . xD
Umm, I think people know how to cook an egg, I don't think anyone needs a recipe for that o.O
