Spree

Hi everyone :) I've had such an interesting week already

Just a recap:

Monday: graduation/single ladies

Tuesday: luncheon

Wednesday: Balmoral/Winnie&Carol's 18th at the Ranch

Thursday: SLEEPATHON/Study

Friday: Sleep in + Study + ISCF End of Term

Saturday: hehe interesting day today.

Awoke saying "Nooo... noooo...noo". I don't know why. Bad dream? Maybe. But because I was saying that my parents almost left be behind when they were about to leave for yumcha.

:( Apparently this happened.

M: BELLE DYOU WANNA YUMCHA
B: Noooooo noooonoooo
D: Are you sure
B: NOOOO nooo NOOOOOO!
D&M: what the..

and then they woke me up properly and I couldn't get out of bed any quicker.

So we headed to the usual place at Eastwood. Ate. Left. AND THEN! I saw a John (P) look alike.

Man. I thought it was him- but when I turned around there was NOOBODDYYY. So yeah. Maybe I was hallucinating.

BUt golly gosh- what happened afterwards was FREAKING TRAUMATISING :( *sobsob*  I was telling my parents at yumcha that we should head to Myer today to catch some of the 30%  off discounts for Review (hehe ♥) and that I should get my dress shopping over and done with so that I wouldn't have to waste precious study time hunting for one and that I should hurry up because people seem to be buying RIGHT NOW (cheryl got hers !).

So M was like "oh wouldn't it be a good idea for us to hunt through the Ewood ones first". Gad I just died there on the spot. :| They have super hideous dresses for old ladies and also weird ones that don't need a tag to say "made in china" to say it was made in china at all- er. I realise not all of you may have understood the previous statement.

When we walked into the first dress shop- we got attacked by the SA straight away. She pointed at all these dresses with fake diamonds and weird hems and FREAKING weird colours - stuff I live to stay away from. FAR IN. My dad walked out straight away sniggering at me while I was mouthing "SAAAVE MEE DAAD". She was measuring my waist and annoying things like that. Far in. I struggled to get away from her fierce grip- but I am too weak now. :( So I tried to be snide and nasty- and in the end it worked out. I hate SA who are super pushy and crap T_T; They can't bullying me into buying a triple digit crappy dress. :(

Asian shops. Asian SA. Hell.

Gad.

Fast forward a couple of hours. I'm in the city in Myer and I spot three nice LBD. I want one I can reuse- my parents agree and they say they're willing to fork out big bucks for it (their budget $400). I was shocked- wth man as if spend that much on a piece of fabric D:  But their reasoning was quite funny.

D: You can wear it again.. like next year- corporate functions
M: Yeah.. and weddings.
D: and funerals
M: Your sister can wear it to her year 10... and year 12.

=___=;

The three LBD I had hanging off my arm all fit nicely, but it was an easy choice between the three. It's v nice and I got it for under $200. Huge number- I know, but you know, if my sister's going to wear it for her yr 10 and 12- well it's gotta look nice! (Just joking Kelly)  [[pause: if you're a girl and you want to look exactly like me on the day- buy a Black Review Origami Dress. I'll be sure to claw your eyes out with my 2 inch heels.  if you're a boy and you want to look the same- I welcome you. :)]]

Then we went shoe hunting.

AND KACHING~ Buy 1 pair, 2nd pair 50% off. So I bought a pair of business heels (YATTA) and a flattish pair of work shoes- boring but comfortable.

Surprisingly, it didn't take long AT ALL :) I'm glad. Because we had extra time, we went to ICHIBAN BOSHI and M, D and I had a ramen- yummo. Was going to get the green drink but dad suggested we go to Delifrance instead.

So we did.

Actually my parents wanted to lose their starbucks-ginity, but all the comfy seats were taken up by girls in skimpy clothing =__=; so we settled for Delifrance.

THEEN I got a hot apple pie at MacDonalds before we went home. :D HAP always makes me happy.

Came home and played dress ups/ modelled dress + heels for K.

She looked up from her mashed potatoes and groaned.

K: Geez Belle- it's a FORMAL, why are you wearing business clothes? Why are you so obsessed.

8) Ho hum.

I am liking my Jane Debster heels (yes I love them). Everyone knows I hate wearing heels- but I just love looking at them on my feet. :D Give me a wheel chair and I'll wheel around looking at my feet. :)

/ end bimbo talk.

At yumcha my mum started talking about marriage (mine) and my dad went all aggro and !!!!-ish baahaha. If I'm a spinster at 50- you'll know why ;)

Speaking of age- when do YOU think a person should get married- or when do YOU want to ? Ideal age.  Personally I'd say around 27ish. WHY? Get married. Settle in. HAVE KIDS BEFORE 30. If I'm thirty and single, I refuse to grow a foetus in my uterus- because that could spell trouble for everyone. Dootdidoot. Do I make that foetus sound like a carrot ? K stuck her head around and read that paragraph and said I sound like a kid. "I refuse to grow a carrot in my garden".

Hmm.

Sophistication is obviously not my forte.

Righteo. I'll shut up before I bore you guys all to death.

HOPE YOU'RE HAVING A NICE LONG WEEKEND. Was going to Melbourne- before my dad remembered the HSC was coming up v soon.

I'm not in panicky study mode anymore D:  SOMEONE SCARE ME!

STUDY HARD!

John tells me he went to Eastwood or somewhere to eat yumcha.

You and Michael Liu and all them thinking about the future and marriage ;). My friends are getting married in December and I wil be attending. They're about early 20s.

I completely relate to the wheelchair and heels thing. The always look great in the shop (yay, 10cm extra height!) but actually walking is completely different. I don't know how people run in stilettos.

Whoa, my marriage age is 27 as well! No way would I risk having kids after 35 or something.

But it's not a priority though. If I do med, 6-7 year degree + internship etc sounds like there's no time. How on earth do doctors get married?

I love your stories Belle xD
My day was wake up - eat - study - eat - blog - study - eat - study - sit here writing this. :)

HEHE. MARRIAGE. I love that topic xD
The age 24 stands out for me. I can see bright lit up signs saying *24 24 24 getting married now*. I dunno why, maybe it's cos I liked 24 the show :S
But, nevertheless, I want to get married young so I have a long married life.. and statistically I'll die younger being left-handed..
Anyway, INVITE ME TO YOUR WEDDING BELLE.

Many loves,
Aryan.

Well, here's my personal view of things. My parents married after 30, and had me after 35. I turned out fine.(NO JOKEZZZ PLZZ LOLZ) But of course preferable to have before 35, my parents were limited by circumstance (yay communism). Their friends all had kids earlier. I was alienated from family friends (haha jokez) coz they were all like at highschool/uni while I was a little primary school kid. But then I also got to play with the second children so yay.

Personally, there's no real date, it's all up to whatever happens whenever, and these days we're staying home with parents until later years and thus getting out and possibly marrying later also. Also uni would play a part in it; med kids won't really finish uni until like their late 20s ? but us business will be done by the time we're 21/22 so yay. 25/26.

Sounds like fun. I was at a party from 5pm to midnight tonight haha. *Shakes head* so much work put into buying clothes.

I would say 28. 27 seems too young (I don't know why), and 28 seems like a good compromise between youth and oldness (<-- mental blank for real word).

Hey do you yumcha at the place that recently had a name change?

Umm marriage age, perhaps not too young, maybe late 20s. 30s might start pushing it a little.

STUDY STUDY STUDY!!

NICE BUY! I want an LBD, but nothing fits :( I also like review :) Went to Myer and saw this Stella McCartney dress, but the bottom bit wrecked the beautiful top half nuuu. humph. Wish I could design my own stuff!

HELLO BELLEEEEE (:
Your week sounds so interesting and awesome D: LBD sounds greatttt.. you gotta model it for me some day, you know? Hehe.

I think moocho's Aditi? Gotta agree with you on that. Medicine is killing my hopes to get married & have children before 30. LIFE IS SO HARD D:

Anywhos, it's good to know you're not stressing too hard. Study hard and I'll see your super-versatile face soon!

E-wood ain't all bad. Can't get Myer dresses as they are either for sticks, or lard-arses or 6-foot giants and 80% are for the voluptuous. Yeah, got to hit the Asian stores to fit a 5-foot kid.

I agree with Darth Gaylord, 28 sounds good for marriage. And if I don't marry before some certain age (mid-thirties?), I won't bother and just end up a rich, happy spinster :D

When I hear of <24s marrying it just feels ickly. Children getting married ! Teens getting married! People barely considered adults in the US getting married ! People barely entering the workforce getting married ! D: D: D: D: I have the same qualms about people having children <24. No offense.

BC ! HSC is like, around the CORNER ! ! ! ! ! ! !

Was that scary enough?

@Eddy: As if you don't think about it too sometimes :) Parents brought it up >:(

@moocho: Sucked in med people >:D You can have deformed babies.
Juhz kidding. :) Wheelchair + heels = optimum efficiency + beauty. HAAHAHA

@Aryan: LOL SO EARLY! I'll invite you- if you invite me :D There'd better be good food.

@Michael: Then I'd waste the fb on my phone!!! Ahaha. Well I'm glad you find my story entertaining :D

@meelo: My parents married after 30, and had me after 35. I turned out fine.(NO JOKEZZZ PLZZ LOLZ) HAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAH :) HAHAHAHA :) :) Yeah well I just want to MINIMISE the chance of mutations happening within my body. D:

@Darth: HOW WAS THEE PARTAY?

@MS: Name change? Which one? I went to the place next to Sakae

@Jonald: YUS I WAS :D

@Bleb: OMGAD ALL THE REVIEW LBD FIT ME LIKE A GLOVE (i'm sure i used this metaphor wrong. lol)However the sizing was really weird. THey all fit perfectly yeah? but the sizes were 8, 8 and 10. WHAT?!

@sy: I'll model it for you alright *wink* STUDYHARD SQUISHYFACE:D

@details: Can't get Myer dresses as they are either for sticks, or lard-arses or 6-foot giants and 80% are for the voluptuous.

I'm the lard-arse ;)

28 sounds okay I guess, however, you only have 2 years to force a kid out of your uterus. hehe.

Hmmph! All your romantic idealists!

MARRIAGE IS FOR LOOOOSERS! I'm never going to get married. Instead I'm going to grow old and lonely and rot away in a dark damp corner of a retirement home.

How do you like them apples? Hmmph!

And your parents sound like very smart people, that's how I would think too, even though it goes against my better judgement that it'd ruin Kelly's formal experience. But hey who cares about anyone else? It's all about ME ME ME ME ME - oops I meant you you you you =) I'm so modest.

And EEW EW EW EEW WHY WOULD ANYONE GO TO EASTWOOD TO BUY CLOTHES?! That's somewhere an ajumma would shop. Disgusting!

By the way have you heard, they want to redevelop the whole Eastwood Shopping Centre into a mixed commercial/resedential zone a la HK style.

kthxbai.

PS I love no word verification now, it makes MY commenting experience so much easier. Thanks.

lard-arse indeed :)

LOL bosco! ajuuma ftw :P i can't believe you would go clothes shopping in Eastwood D: but i'm glad you didn't actually get anything there. zomg. i hate annoying SA's! especially the ones in HK who sweettalk you and say you look nice in everything you wear - grosses me out. then my mum takes charge and i'm safe from their clutches =)

and all those bad connotations with having a baby - growing foetuses and forcing it out D:D:D: what disgusting use of imagery ! terrible belle =(

hehehe grubsy keeps bring up marriage during maths and Eddy just shakes his head :P i like the year 2018 - sounds very lucky XD but how can you decide what age you'll get married? i'm more concerned with WHO i'm gna get married to first and IF i ever find that person XD

and yes. we love your stories belle. i think i said that in my little page in your book :P keep bloggging (it's never boring when it's you)- and as for me. *guilty face* i'll start blogging again..soon =P

Borbored, what happened to your lots of kids to rival sharon's plans?

Anonymous said...

Ehh, too far ahead. If it happens, it happens. Meh. :P

I know nothing about clothes, or clothes shopping. I need like a fashion adviser or something :P
