Day 4 in LA - Disney California Adventure

This morning, I woke up at 6.30am to embark on my 2 hour trip to Anaheim AGAIN. But this time, it was for Disney California Adventure! When we walked out, I spotted a magic school bus!

YELLOW BUS
Anyway, it must be because I'm getting sick of theme parks, but I seem to be taking less and less photos each day.  Either that, or Disney parks are just not much compared to Universal Studios.

Here is a churro. Costed me $3.50 and it wasn't that great :(  Sad times.

a stick of disappointment
This post sounds really sad already. I think I'm just really disappointed because A hyped it up so much!

Cute vendor store
The main attractions at Cali Adventure are their roller coasters.  They have about 1-2 rides per "land" (separate section of the park) ((and there are 8)). After 2 days at theme parks, we finally learnt to go on the wet rides first.  D was fully drenched, that happened yesterday too. LOL.

WET RIDE.
Another one of the highlights at Cali Adventure is Mickey's Fun Wheel. It's basically a ferris wheel with some baskets that swing really far and into the centre of the wheel. You can hear people screaming from across the lake.  It's amazeballs. Scenic and scary. I like.

Swingswing
Another favourite of mine is the California Screamin' rollercoaster. At first we thought this ride was closed because there were no carriages .. rolling... anywhere, but we found out that they were only closed temporarily - thank goodness.  It was super fast, super big and freakin' awesome.

Here's a better visual rep of the roller coasters and the ferris wheel (they both look better at night).

 LUNCH TIME:

K and I ate at the Pacfic Wharf Cafe. The food was tres good!

Clam Chowder.. in bread!

Turkey sandwich with hole-y cheese.
We ventured into Cars Land, which is apparently the newest part of the park!

cheap fuel!

There's an abundance of Christmas tree photos in my posts lately. :) This one is made out of tyres!

 Radiator springs!

(side note to Bleb: if it weren't for those free tickets that we got, I don't think I ever would have watched Cars. So glad that we went to see that now).

Disney Parks = Stroller haven
Today, we also spent over an hour lining up for a ride in Cars Land. It's called Radiator Springs Races, and it wasn't really worth the long wait.  Here's a tip - always line up as a single rider unless you are planning on buying the photos that they snap.  That way, instead of  lining up for an hour, you can spend 15 minutes lining up, doing the ride with randoms, come back and do it 3 more times while the other suckers are still lining up.

But at least they had nice decorations :)

Something that I've always wondered about - would someone escort me out of the theme park if I leaned in towards one of these pools and grabbed a handful of this money?

Does anyone know what the big gold one in the middle is?

Pride rock in radiator springs?  Nope. Fiddling with manual settings :)
There was a really technologically cool ride called Luigi's Flying Tires. Basically, everyone's sitting in a rubber/air ring in a sealed off area.  The floor of this area has air ducts and when the ride starts, air spurts out, lifting the tyre off the ground. It's like a reverse hovercraft. Way cool.

Like my Cali tan?
And then BOOM, blast from the past!

Another highlight of today was the drop ride - Tower of Terror. What Disney does really well in its theme parks, is incorporating a full story into their rides so that the rider really gets the full package.  I am set off by the smallest things, and so this ride sent me to my wits end and back.  BUT, it was really fun. So yer...

The lobby of the hotel in the Tower of Terror ride
AND THE PLAY PARADE.  This was so cute, I had to take a bajillion photos.

Everything else is picspam. Too tired to narrate. Self explanatory.

Dinner was at Kino in Hollywood at 11pm =_= Forgot to take photos of what we ordered except the sushi because I was ravenous. '

SLEEPY. Sorry I skipped straight to day 4. Ugh.

I kinda want to get out of LA. I feel incredibly insecure walking on the streets at night and the people are so rude :'(

WHT
Aside from all that above, what really got my mood down today was this psycho person who harassed us at the bus stop outside Disneyland. He was drunk and had one of those blow torch lighters in a shape of a gun and kept firing it at us. It came really close to the face so yeah. That will go down in my books as one of the scariest moments ever.

2 screams of joy:

I have got to say, I was really disappointed with LA! I'm happy never going there again.

But that being said, your pics are amazing! Take care, stay safe!!
