Little Luxuries

Because it's holiday time- I get to enjoy the luxury of sleeping in and spending at least 30 mins preparing/having breakfast. These past few days, I've been having an egg & ham sandwich with a bowl of cereal and a glass of milk- it's kept me going until lunch. No morning tea break- no snacking :O The wonders of eating breakfast. I normally skip cos I love my sleep in the morning and wake late everyday.

Question: Does anyone use the back of a spoon to spread stuff- ie like a butter knife to butter bread?  A couple of years ago, our family & 2 others went on this camping trip up on the Central Coast. In the morning we had breakfast and my duty was to butter the toast. I instinctively reached out to grab a spoon and proceeded to dip it into the butter and used the back of the spoon to butter the bread. When the 4 kids from the 2 other families saw, they were like "wtf lol" and thought it was ridiculous.  The fact is, I've done it my entire life.  I rarely use a butter knife to butter bread.  I think spoons are really useful because they're super versatile.

When I was at Singleton last year, I was again laughed at for being a spoon kinda person.  My knife was made redundant. I never needed it. The edge of my spoon could cut, it could scoop, it could stab (I'm a master-spoon user) and well, it could shovel really well. I used it for porridge, cereal, cutting up puts of potato and pumpkin, scooping up peas, etc.

IS IT ONLY ME?!

WHAT I LOVE SPOONS!

My favourite- sunny side up eggs.

1.  Melt some butter in a hot frying pan.
2. Crack an egg onto it.
3.  When it looks like the egg in the above picture, sprinkle a right amount of salt onto it.
4.  Switch off the heat.
5. Use a ... what are they called.. a flat wooden spoon? (I used a fork) to flip it over and let it sizzle for a couple of seconds.
6. Serve
Or in my case...

PLONK IT ON SOME BREAD :D

I eat this every morning now. 2 slices of buttered white bread (I gave up on wholemeal- left a funny aftertaste), 4 slices of honey ham, generous amount of mayonnaise (mm), sunny egg with pepper. :) It's a great combination.  Egg= good for brain :D excellent choice of food before exams.

Other brain foods are nuts and berries.. but I haven't had those in a while. Should stock up on those next week. Bahaha.

I was going to say something about Chupa Chups.. But I've temporarily forgotten, so digressing...

War paint
ISCF End of Term- Capture the Flag. I decided to tag along after spending some time at school studying that day.  It was fun. Haven't done so much exercise in one day. (I have been playing with my dad's dumbells {shuddup} every night now, and seriously, I feel stronger than ever hahaha)  I keep forgetting to bring my camera to important/fun events so I'm stuck with my shakey phone cam.  At leasat you can still see Edward Scissorhands :D and Sam's pandas :D  Actually- I have a similar toilet photo taken with Sam. I'll find it now..

R.I.P Silver Canon IXUS.

People told me I looked like a different person that day . D: I LOOK LIKE ME!

This was taken last weekend- the happy day I finally found my dress. Haha. It was awesome. HUGE moon cake. D stuck his hand into the photo to use as a "comparison". *cough* he has a huge hand. His fingers are at least 5-7cm longer than mine- so. Err. yeah. That's how big it is. If you want to see it for yourself- I hope it's still at Sussex Centre in Chinatown :D  It was there when I visited on Wednesday so.. yeah :)

I REMEMBER NOW! I was going to talk about how my cousin was the face of chupa chups like 25+ years ago. Haha. Yes.  I'll have to do some digging to see if I can find it again.  M tells me my cousin V was a really chubby kid and all she had to do was to suck on the Chupa chup, pull it out and say "Chupa chup".  Damnit. I wish I could have been a part of history like that :D I want to be in an advertisement (Not the Bonds Kaleidescope ones.. but I wouldn't mind KFC :D)

Speaking of KFC- I mentioned ages ago that they would have a new consumer product- Krushers or something - the ads are super annoying; but I really want to try the Golden Gaytime drink. I've never had a GG before. Back in the days when I used to be able to choose an iceblock to buy- I'd always choose the Rainbow Paddlepop (they're different nowadays).  Anyway- I was just going to say; Krusher cups were one of D's project and he took the tester batch home- so we have alot of recycled plastic cups.

Producing recycled materials is actually a lot more expensive than making it from raw materials- and it's sold for much less, but in the manufacturing industry- if you can't make products from recycled materials- you can't do business with all the big companies- ie MacDonalds, KFC, Woolies. You need a specific type of machinery- access to  used plastics, etc D: and alot of smaller manufacturing companies are dying fast. People are losing their jobs and the big companies like V*sy are getting bigger and bigger.  I think it's almost a monopoly market now =___=; But alas, it cannot be helped if everyone wants to be "environmentally friendly".  Only the big companies can survive- especially in our currently state (globally).

Oh I hate being capped. I've been capped for the past couple of days and it's been a pain to surf on my mob- I think I have pretty bad reception in my house, even though I live on top of a hill. T_T;

Anyway- hope you're all studying hard. Alot of you have been updating your blogs, my but I've been trying to load the pages for over 25 mins now- TAKEN AGES :@  I shall try again on Sunday- UNCAPPED BLISS.

CURRENT WANTS:
1.  Fixed up sleeping time- it's so hard
2.  SUCCESS ONE BIOLOGY
3.  DRESSING TABLE- I have too much junk on my work table. :(
4.  To go out and eat. D:
5.  For March to begin already so I have my income, food, friends, hopefully dressing table, and HSC will be long gone by then.  :@

HAVE A NICE STUDY FILLED WEEKEND EVERYONE (before the nightmare begins)

:)

Eyecatching

HELLO PEOPLE

I'm back again- can't sleep- too much on my mind. First of all- WELCOME TO CHUPACHUP hehe- as you might be able to see; and Melbourne GPO (General Post Office) which will be gracing this page sometime next week.

I really miss everyone. D: A couple of days ago I was just telling Drew how anti-social I've been during the holidays. I never realised HOW anti-social I was until today when I saw Rohan and sorta forgot how to talk.

HOW DOES ONE FORGET HOW TO TALK?!

Anyway.

WHAT HAPPENED TODAY:

Woke up at 6.45am. I can't believe I'll be waking at t his hour every day next year starting Feb 8th- cringeworthy.  Looked in the mirror and screamed silently because my hair was being retarded again- looked like an asian afro. :(  so I tried to fix it- and when I looked at my watch, the time read 7.24am. SO I SCREAMED SILENTLY AGAIN i was going to miss my train. I woke my dad up, and he just headed straight for the car and drove me to the station where a lovely person called ROHAN had bought me my ticket already (IOU- remind me). We ended up catching a later train, but arrived at the firm still nice and early. Phew.

Yes. It was breakfast at the firm today- UNEVENTFUL, 3 mins after sitting down in our allocated seats I started thinking "is this worth it? losing hours of sleep", and guess what? It was! (pause; i know my grammar is terrible in this post- forgive me :P typing in  bed is difficult and I can't feel my fingers)

I met Bryan's cousin today. :O HOLY CRAP. Completely different people? (I shouldn't be surprised though- I should know better) So that was an amusing highlight of my day. Amusing, but awkward. I completely forgot to tell Swami about it before I left though D:  Yerr. It was great. He asked me about Sharon.

HARHAR

right? hilarious

Anywho- I left to finish my errands (TT__TT thanks Michelle $11.45 please) and met M at E Library where I met Benny, Tracey and Don studying. Studying =________________=;

I hate studying. I'm so sick of studying T_T;

Didn't do any today. After shopping for groceries, I got home, changed and slept like a baby for a few solid hours. No dreams- no disruptions. Pure bliss.

Speaking of dreams- I'd like to share one.

So we were at our formal- t he venue with a carpark view, and everyone was just starting to arrive. So I started taking photos with everything and was totally getting into snaphappymode. Then suddenly someone yells out "BELLE COME LOOK AT THIS"- I head over to Bosco, and he's showing me the LCD screen on this DSLR in playback mode. It's a picture of me and Sim posing (gad i have no idea why I remember this so clearly)  but its really horrible because you can't see my face. I had no face in the photo. D: REALLY SCARY. So I did what any normal perosn would do in this situation- I freaked out.. until someone told me how to fix the problem.  They told me to look around at everyone and see what everyone had in common- and wth everyone had silver eyeshadow on (even guys). So I ran all the way to the Market City Newsagents in my shiny heels to find some silver shadow.

I ask the lady "DO YOU HAVE SILVER EYESHADOW"- she nods and tells me to look around and so I do. I look in the fridge and found a pair of green contact lenses and I take them (whaaaat) and something else i've forgotten. CANNOT FIND THE SHADOW ANYWHERE- so I approach her again and she gives me an irritated look before taking my hand and leading me to the storeroom. She opens the door and sort of pushes a few cardboard boxes aside and I am freaking shocked because I see a rainforest version of Narnia on the other side.

"come on!" Newsagent lady was waiting for me up the small dirt path, and I catch up. Suddenly, she brings out this GINORMOUS machete and I almost make a run for it- before she lurched into some shrubbery on the side of the path and I realised she's also holding onto the rattle of a rattle snake. SLASH - she makes a clean cut and there's some silvery liquid dripping out of the rattle.

Ohmygad.

And then I woke up to "Dream" by Priscilla Ahn- my alarm tone.

Holy crap right? How can I remember my dreams in such great detail? It's crazy. I wish I didn't dream/remember dreams so I'd have more room for more important things like equations or English essays. lol

****

My sister made me watch a tv show called the fringe today. It was really NOT worth watching until about 10 minutes after it ended. Hehe. Yeah- the episode left her really jittery and sort of freaked out. I walked out of our dining room (snacking) into the living room and scared the daylights out of her :) Wouldn't mind doing that again next week. My dad and I laughed/cried for about 5 minutes because of her huge reaction.  I reckon I could get abs from that.

***

SORRY FOR ANOTHER DISJOINTED BLOGPOST. TOO MUCH BIOLOGY AND ECONOMICS MAKES MY MIND FUZZY.

What I wanted to blog about was the strange weird moments today where I held eyecontact with a few people (unintentional) and it felt so WEIRD.  It wasn't anything like a millisecond- honestly? It was more like 3. 3 seconds of unintentional eyecontact is EXCRUCIATINGLY / painfully long.

It happened when I was walking towards the lift and I saw a man in a tshirt + blazer. OH MY GAD I cannot emphasise how STRANGE the event was. A staredown? No idea.  Then later, there was a girl across the room during breakfast and a similar eyecontact thing happened. And once in Chinatown where I was buying fricking glue D: and on the platform at Town Hall.

I think I'm going psycho.

Too much study.

Not enough sleep.

Hope you're all having a good time (better than me) :P STUDY HARD

PS Loved the weather today despite it being a bit cold in the morning. LOVED IT- no thunder. for once

What a combo right? Marcus AND Kris.

Obviously I took tonnes more photos but I've omitted them from this post because it's just my face over and over and over again. D:

WHAT HAPPENED TODAY?

Woke up early. DAD SAID PHO? I SAID YES. K SAID YES. M SAID YES. WE WENT OUT FOR PHO

:D

---

And that's all I had from a couple of days ago.

What I meant to say was we were greeted by an ambulance at the door of Pho Bay- where we go to for quality pho- where a girl in a stretcher was being pushed in. D: She looked unconscious :/ It's the first time I've seen such an incident in Cabra :O Humdidum.

So yes. I also recall finishing my bowl of pho in just 5-6 minutes. Hehe. Becoming quite the speedy eater. Then had a Vietnamese Iced Coffee - my first. When I was a kid, D would let me have an icecube from his iced coffee, but I was "too young" to drink any.

Afterwards, D bought a 500gig XHDD for K - FAR OUT- for a whopping $175, even though he could have gotten a 1.5tb xhdd for $105.

=_+; I wanted to cry. D: WHY.. WHY.. WHYYYYYYYY

Anywho. We drove around Fairfield afterwards and visited Vine & York St- our old homes :D

NOTHING has changed over the past 15 years. Well except the area surrounding the station. Holy crap. Man. All the stations along that line has been upgraded so nicely.

Kay, I lost my train of thought.

M JUST WALKED IN TO MY ROOM and I lost my train of thought again. I was going to say something about the Eels D: Something about how I haven't followed any sport in yonks- but I was pleased to see alot of people getting so hyped up about the grand finals xD  Even though they didn't win th GF, it's kinda nice to see the fans support the players :D

Now I'm just rambling =_=

TO OTHER NEWS

I have been following alot of Vampire-ish trends lately.  First Twilight, then it was the Japanese drama- I forgot what it's called.  Then it was Vampire Diaries (VERY good looking cast- even though the guy is heaps old ==) AND THEN MOONLIGHT.

All have something in common (no, I don't mean Vampires) - they all have super cheesy lines. Gad =_=; It's unbelievable- I wish they had better screen writers for tv shows with good ideas.  ZZZ  Speaking of ideas- who's bad one was it to come up with NCIS LOS ANGELES?! :(

/ end tv talk.  GO! has got me obsessed with tv.  And the stupid Lemon Detox Diet commercial has got me watching all commercials- I SPY BULJEVIC :P SERIOUSLY ITS HER!

RIGHTO- I'm going to watch Dinozzo and Ziva turn lovey dovey now.

=_=; visiting the FIRM tomorrow. Will be fun. HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A GOOD HOLIDAY :D (wanted to say this before- but forgot XD)

ps. will be staying off msn for a while- hours go by like seconds on msn ==;

Spree

Hi everyone :) I've had such an interesting week already

Just a recap:

Monday: graduation/single ladies

Tuesday: luncheon

Wednesday: Balmoral/Winnie&Carol's 18th at the Ranch

Thursday: SLEEPATHON/Study

Friday: Sleep in + Study + ISCF End of Term

Saturday: hehe interesting day today.

Awoke saying "Nooo... noooo...noo". I don't know why. Bad dream? Maybe. But because I was saying that my parents almost left be behind when they were about to leave for yumcha.

:( Apparently this happened.

M: BELLE DYOU WANNA YUMCHA
B: Noooooo noooonoooo
D: Are you sure
B: NOOOO nooo NOOOOOO!
D&M: what the..

and then they woke me up properly and I couldn't get out of bed any quicker.

So we headed to the usual place at Eastwood. Ate. Left. AND THEN! I saw a John (P) look alike.

Man. I thought it was him- but when I turned around there was NOOBODDYYY. So yeah. Maybe I was hallucinating.

BUt golly gosh- what happened afterwards was FREAKING TRAUMATISING :( *sobsob*  I was telling my parents at yumcha that we should head to Myer today to catch some of the 30%  off discounts for Review (hehe ♥) and that I should get my dress shopping over and done with so that I wouldn't have to waste precious study time hunting for one and that I should hurry up because people seem to be buying RIGHT NOW (cheryl got hers !).

So M was like "oh wouldn't it be a good idea for us to hunt through the Ewood ones first". Gad I just died there on the spot. :| They have super hideous dresses for old ladies and also weird ones that don't need a tag to say "made in china" to say it was made in china at all- er. I realise not all of you may have understood the previous statement.

When we walked into the first dress shop- we got attacked by the SA straight away. She pointed at all these dresses with fake diamonds and weird hems and FREAKING weird colours - stuff I live to stay away from. FAR IN. My dad walked out straight away sniggering at me while I was mouthing "SAAAVE MEE DAAD". She was measuring my waist and annoying things like that. Far in. I struggled to get away from her fierce grip- but I am too weak now. :( So I tried to be snide and nasty- and in the end it worked out. I hate SA who are super pushy and crap T_T; They can't bullying me into buying a triple digit crappy dress. :(

Asian shops. Asian SA. Hell.

Gad.

Fast forward a couple of hours. I'm in the city in Myer and I spot three nice LBD. I want one I can reuse- my parents agree and they say they're willing to fork out big bucks for it (their budget $400). I was shocked- wth man as if spend that much on a piece of fabric D:  But their reasoning was quite funny.

D: You can wear it again.. like next year- corporate functions
M: Yeah.. and weddings.
D: and funerals
M: Your sister can wear it to her year 10... and year 12.

=___=;

The three LBD I had hanging off my arm all fit nicely, but it was an easy choice between the three. It's v nice and I got it for under $200. Huge number- I know, but you know, if my sister's going to wear it for her yr 10 and 12- well it's gotta look nice! (Just joking Kelly)  [[pause: if you're a girl and you want to look exactly like me on the day- buy a Black Review Origami Dress. I'll be sure to claw your eyes out with my 2 inch heels.  if you're a boy and you want to look the same- I welcome you. :)]]

Then we went shoe hunting.

AND KACHING~ Buy 1 pair, 2nd pair 50% off. So I bought a pair of business heels (YATTA) and a flattish pair of work shoes- boring but comfortable.

Surprisingly, it didn't take long AT ALL :) I'm glad. Because we had extra time, we went to ICHIBAN BOSHI and M, D and I had a ramen- yummo. Was going to get the green drink but dad suggested we go to Delifrance instead.

So we did.

Actually my parents wanted to lose their starbucks-ginity, but all the comfy seats were taken up by girls in skimpy clothing =__=; so we settled for Delifrance.

THEEN I got a hot apple pie at MacDonalds before we went home. :D HAP always makes me happy.

Came home and played dress ups/ modelled dress + heels for K.

She looked up from her mashed potatoes and groaned.

K: Geez Belle- it's a FORMAL, why are you wearing business clothes? Why are you so obsessed.

8) Ho hum.

I am liking my Jane Debster heels (yes I love them). Everyone knows I hate wearing heels- but I just love looking at them on my feet. :D Give me a wheel chair and I'll wheel around looking at my feet. :)

/ end bimbo talk.

At yumcha my mum started talking about marriage (mine) and my dad went all aggro and !!!!-ish baahaha. If I'm a spinster at 50- you'll know why ;)

Speaking of age- when do YOU think a person should get married- or when do YOU want to ? Ideal age.  Personally I'd say around 27ish. WHY? Get married. Settle in. HAVE KIDS BEFORE 30. If I'm thirty and single, I refuse to grow a foetus in my uterus- because that could spell trouble for everyone. Dootdidoot. Do I make that foetus sound like a carrot ? K stuck her head around and read that paragraph and said I sound like a kid. "I refuse to grow a carrot in my garden".

Hmm.

Sophistication is obviously not my forte.

Righteo. I'll shut up before I bore you guys all to death.

HOPE YOU'RE HAVING A NICE LONG WEEKEND. Was going to Melbourne- before my dad remembered the HSC was coming up v soon.

I'm not in panicky study mode anymore D:  SOMEONE SCARE ME!

STUDY HARD!

We're a bunch of touchy feely homos

Hi everyone!

I don't think I've ever said SO many "I love you"s and "I'm gonna miss you"s so many times in my life. I don't think I've ever heard it said so many times in my life. I've NEVER been hugged so many times in one week (lol Danny's winning- LOL He just pulls people into ginormous bear hugs. bahaha).

Sentimental September. Where magic happens.

  • My first HU-freaking-MUNGOUS group hug (jazzog ♥- I know I complain alot- but I will miss it hehe)
  • Bryan clean and shaven. Bryan writing a nice message to Winnie in her book. Bryan coming out of the closet~ so much Bryan stuff has been going on. Bryan showing his homoside hugging everyone in sight.
  • Marcus becoming un-camera shy. Good thing too. He isn't unphotogenic or anything ;D
  • EVERYONE COPYING WINNIE'S FACIAL EXPRESSIONS- WOOO
  • People talking to people they didn't really talk to (hehe talk talk talk) in the past.
  • BIRTHDAY MONTH :D CAKE, CAKE AND MOAR CAKE
  • Lotsa class parties
  • Lotsa photos
  • Lotsa class photos
  • Lotsa teary moments
  • Lotsa grade love.
I love you Ruse09. I can't say it enough. You guys have been such a ridiculously hilarious bunch. We're all different, but somehow we're like an enzyme to it's specific binding site- we fit perfectly like a puzzle. I couldn't imagine our grade with other people- I can't imagine being anywhere else. I will miss everyone lots. Damn I'll miss the humour. I think our grade is very based on injokes, cruel jokes and humour. :D We revolve around humour. It's great. :)

Oh gosh- I just wasted some precious sleeping time tagging photos on fb. HAHA It's quite a waste of time :( But I like doing it anyway. It makes me observe photos more carefully.

Speaking of photos...

Here are some from the luncheon.

There's just SO MUCH I want to show you guys- (should check FB) from the luncheon and beach AND birthday bash for Carol and Winnie~ but  just not enough time. I'm feeling DEAD tired today. Super smashed (beer + a day of fun at the beach lol + STEAK AND CAKE RHYMES) tonight.
