I don't care what they say, I reckon David Gallop's a pretty decent guy.
The only good things about working on that job, are the people I get to meet and the many more that I bump into in the hallways. This includes famous people. My kind of people.
Kidddinnnggg, though I did bump into quite a few :) (and the dads of some rising stars)
But yeah, imo, Gallop's held the position pretty well over the past... what almost ten years? He seems pretty on the ball.
Although I think it's a good idea to have a footy commission, I have to say, it took WAY too long to get it in place. Behind the scenes, it was a horrid mess. It was a bit of a waste of time and money, but I guess it's sort of on its way now so... no point in talking about the past.
It was sad that he had to leave via the side doors though. Nobody uses the side doors. I went once but only because I was curious.
Ahh so much politics. I'm never in one place long enough to get the hang of what's going on around me. I guess it's a good thing though - you don't want to get too caught up in all that shizzle when you want to get work done.

I'm back to my compulsive blogger ways. D: Didn't even last a week.
Uni tomorrow - and I want to get a haircut afterwards. Today when I was blow drying my long-ass fringe, I thought I looked a bit like the Ring girl. So . um. Yeah, time to pay my hairdresser a visit. This time I'll bring a picture so nothing will be lost in translation.

blahblahblah
Huy guys.
Super pleased to say my health has improved A LOT- woke up feeling nauseated, but nothing really happened. I've been sticking to fluids and keeping my spirits up with the thought of Easy Virtue, Dinner tomorrow night, and partying after all this - which will end at 3.55 tomorrow afternoon.
Yes. Easy Virtue- watched that last night/this morning when I couldn't sleep- loved it :) There are so many movies I want to watch- SO MANY, such great timing 8) except I'm in a bit of a quandary now- should I watch the movies now, or watch them on the plane?!?! hahahaaa. yeah. I'll be spending quite a bit of time on planes on my trip (4 trips altogether) so yeaaah, I'd rather watch movies than play solitaire... (not that solitaire isn't fun).
Dootdidoot. ANYWHO, today was a surprisingly good day. Started off not so well, but improved- as my friends started to reappear again. :P Cousin called and asked if I had watched Easy Virtue, and well, I love discussing movies, so that was fun. Then invitations for fun/partying started coming through my sms inbox- and a couple of emails were waiting to be opened... :D:D:D:D
Being cramped up at home sucks though. I don't want to go out running incase I bust a muscle or something and end up limping to formal, but I really, really, really want to go swimming- BUT THERE ISN'T A PUBLIC POOL CLOSE AT ALL- ie walking distance. I am such a fat lard during exam time. 8) I haven't done any chores (hehe) and I've spent so much time sleeping & panicking. lol. I WANT TO GO SWIMMING D: My inner fish is dying. D: D: NEED REVIVAL.
Thursday- nothink. HOLLER- sign out day 8)
Friday- planning party + Optom meetup ;) at 4pm
Saturday- nothink
Sunday- nothink
Monday- nothink
Tuesday- sleep in
MY GOODNESS. WHY IS MY SCHEDULE SO EMPTY- IF YOU'RE REFRAINING FROM INVITING ME BECAUSE I MAY BE OVERSEAS- I'm available until 7th Dec, and I'll be coming back on the .. forgotten now. T_T; Will check after I come back full and in full party mode.
Hf/GL :)

trees
Hello and welcome to another episode into the life of boring Belinda (yeesh- I urban dictionary-ied my name and got really, really, really twisted definitions).
Anypoos. D + neighbour, G cut down a tree. yeah. I kinda feel bad. I mean, it's not like I've planted any tree equivalent to the size of my paper usage of the past 18 years. This ginormous bonfire starter is just sitting infront of our front lawn looking sad, dead and very water soaking. Weather doesn't look good. Why, WHY , WHYYY would anyone cut a tree down today. Far out. T_T;
M's upset cos she <3s big trees that give us privacy.
But oh well. D only cut it down because G complained there were termites. That's right. Those pesky buggers. I paid $1 (i think) for a termite in year 7 to complete my stupid insect project... not that it was complete. Haha. You see, I popped over to the vet and asked if I could have a flea- he just stared and gave me a "what the shit?!" expression. Maybe I should have told him what school I was from- then, perhaps, he would have understood. Kids from random schools - even as far as Penrith know about our infamous cow pats, AI/hand stuck up cow arse, and stupid gay insect projects. D: Luckily for me, it was mosquito season. So all I did was use a sandwich bag to trap one, sealed it, and I popped it in the freezer for about a day or so. The next day, I took it out and left it to defrost. Yay, one leg had fallen off. Only 5 to surgically remove... with M's tweezer (without her permission of course!). Mozzie - legs = flea. It was good enough for our teacher anyway :D
Surely cutting down a tree housing termites- only leaving the stump will drive the termites TOWARDS the house? Yeesh. I am afraid. I am VERY afraid. I'm afraid our house will sell for little because of the stupid termites in the future.
/ end insect talk. Insects are disgusting. =_=;
DIGRESSING.
M: When's formal?
D: 17th
B: Wow D, looking forward to it, much?
D: I think I'll take a day off.
B: =_=; what?
D: To drive you!
B: It's like 7 pm =_=;
D: So?
B: Even if you don't make it on time, I could hitch a ride or something.
D: Why would I miss this?
B: ...
M:... ? I could drive her....
D: Not in your car (note: mum's car is constantly covered in birdie crap because birds live on the tree she parks underneath. Freaking birds. they are so noisy around 5 or so in the morning )
M: WTH is that supposed to mean
(omitted argument)
D: I'll drive you. I'll even dress up!
TT_____TT;
Later...
D: Aren't you excited about formal?
B: Er, not really.
D: But you were so excited before!
B: Er, no?
M: No. She was just mildly interested.
B: Er, yeah I guess.
D: WHAT HAPPENED?
B: It will be boring- photo time blah blah blah. The most exciting part was looking for dresses...
D; Thought you hated it.
B: I did.
I am dreading the thought of someone turning up in the same dress as me. Guys are always like "why would you care?". WHY WOULDN'T YOU- more like...
1. You make an effort to look nice.
2. Look half decent? Get compliments, feel goodish.
3. Someone rocks up in the same thing. DAMN!
4. Comparison!
5. Let the judging begin...
It's like those magazine photos where they have the caption "Who did it better?" underneath two photos of celebrities wearing the same dress.
;D
It's nice to be the "better", of course, but if you happen to be the person who did worse, well, sucks to be you.
Changing topics again.
Once upon a time in HK, there was a photographer. When the Queen went to HK, she requested for him to take photos for/of her. Years later, he migrated to Australia and became M's photography teacher. SINCE WHEN DID SHE START LEARNING PHOTOGRAPHY?! What the hell? How I found out? She was skimming through catalogue cut outs that I've been making for the past age and of course, this enraged me as this pile of loose paper was stacked in a very orderly fashion- order of priority, and she had made a mess out of it ;D. But when I calmed down, I found this was an extremely well timed opportunity for me to finally get the lovely Lumix I've been dreaming about for the past month. (I try to visit it every weekend at Myer in the CBD- the sales dude recognises me now ! lol ) Myer has sweetened the deal by taking away $100, and has chucked in a Panasonic Voice Recorder (256mb.... if that's much at all? lol) - but I'm not sure that the $599 price tag appeals to M. She said the Schneider lens shouldn't be that different, etc, etc.
Yeah, actually, talking about this led to nothing. As in, I have nothing to add, as she is still deciding (also looking at DSLRs for some strange reason- I don't think photography is something she will take seriously). I say that because a couple of years ago, she seemed really into watercolour- and gosh, she was good. However, that picture of the old and wrinkled naked lady she was painting remains unfinished to this day- and is a strange sight to stumble upon when all you are trying to do is shove some dirty laundry in the machine. *shakes head*. Draw a naked lady? Yeah okay I understand, alot of people do that. But an old wrinkly one? M, seriously? =_=; Luckily it's unfinished :P and in the laundry. :D
And years before that, it was PUZZLES. We have a ginormous Snoopy orchestra puzzle hanging in the living room. We also had a fish one- but I have no idea where that went. When I was younger, I had a Hello Kitty soccer one- except I think my cousin knicked that when she was in her soccer-crazy stage.
I guess we all have our phases. :) I just never imagined photography would be one in her life. :/ strange. No wonder I have strange photos on my camera :D
Man, I am so bored. I spent the morning cursing at birds and helicopters (WTH BEFORE 6AM, ARE YOU FOR REAL?), watching Pucca episodes with my sister, eaing Wangwang biscuits, studying Jap and watching D chop the tree down. Today has felt so unproductive. Sadly for me, I haven't felt like I've had a productive day since the time I bought a dress and 2 pairs of shoes in one go. Spending money does give me lots of satisfaction- well, not really. It's not spending- it's acquiring new possessions... Yes, because I am a greedy, greedy possession hogging glob who is really starving right now. This "no-more-junk" policy my parents are having is really making me feel retarded. I walk into the pantry and there is virtually NOTHING to eat, except the disgusting coconut flavoured Wangwang biscuits D bought accidentally. I don't know how someone accidentally buys coconut flavoured things. So grossssssssss. *cough, Rohan*
Bored, hungry, and out of Pucca episodes to watch. They are so great. YAY FOR UNREQUITED LOVE. YAY FOR PERSISTENCE. YAY FOR MANY LOLS :D yay for procrastination =_=;

ffffffriggin protected posts
ALL THOSE WHO HAVE PROTECTED POSTS WHO DO NOT GIVE ME PASSWORDS, AND INSTEAD GIVE ME A FREAKING RIDDLE TO SOLVE... I HATECHUUU
:( I haven't been able to guess a SINGLE one. Instead, I've gone to google, and typed in their "hints" (pft, you can't even call them hints.. they're like .. vague random thoughts!)...
*GLARE* @ BOSCO
What's worse is that I glance at the column on the side saying who commented last, etc. I SEE PEOPLE HAVE COMMENTED ON THE PROTECTED POST- and they have SOLVED that friggin thing. SEND ME PASSWORDS !!!! DON'T MAKE ME GUESS!!! ITS SO D'ARGH-ifying.
DIGRESSING- biggest birthday grats to Adrian. Say, Adrian who? ADRIAN ZUMBO of course. Not that I know him personally, or know his products personally either. YES- FAMOUS dessert maker in Sydney, but I've never had the chance to try *WINK NUDGE KICK SHOVE THROW OVER CLIFF* (ooh. cliff- reminds me of New Moon :), his lovely Macarons. Apparently people have been lining outside his shop since 7.30am to say HBD to him and also to try his new 24 varieties of macarons. *jaw drops* twenty four...
Man. So many of you guys have finished your HSC now. Lucky duckies. :( Last night I was freaking out about a couple of things.
Firstly I was thinking
hmm when I get up- it should be around 8. I'll just go for a jog around the place and eat a hearty breakfast, check twitter/email/blog and do some jap study + watch spirited away. Then break for lunch, rewatch HIMYM (I watched it the day before eco) and then study jap again. But of course all the morning stuff didn't happen. M left the house at 10.00 and slammed the front door- which woke me up. Damn. No jog (haha), damn no breakfast, DAMN NO ONE TO MAKE ME BREAKFAST, NO BREAKFAST FOODS TO EAT, so I just watched spirited away while eating some Milk Arrowroot.
NO MOAR HAZELNUT LATTE FOR ME. NO MORE CHOCOLATE FOR MEEE. DETOX TIME! Eat healthy, sleep healthy (yes. no longer sleeping at 5 or 6 am...), no more sippah straws- only tea or water, eat more fruits and BRAIN FOOD.
Speaking of fruit, I'm really protective of my bananas. I am a banana kid. I love bananas and I always have. A couple of days ago, I bought 3, and lugged it with me home (heaavy maaa) on public transport. Only got to eat 1, in the end, because M + D each stole one to eat. :( Now I have no bananas. Hehe, at the dining table, I sit nearest to the fruit basket- there's a really festy apple inside, probably rotting from the core- lol. Each day, I tell myself I'll take it out (incase it infects the other fruits!) but I keep forgetting. But this morning I was rummaging and got my hand stuck in a sticky mess. :( Disgusting rotting apples.
I WILL NOW CONCLUDE WITH A LIST OF AZ MARACONS ON GYF'S BLOG.
PS. how all over the place are my posts lately?! its nutttttts

Goodbye Skrzynecki
After taking an entire lesson or so learning to pronounce his name, and another day or so learning how to spell it correctly- and an AGE learning to write it in cursive without adding an extra "y" or "z" or "i", I can finally stop caring about his name. Whoever the hell thought of putting six consonants together should really learn to spell/read. By proper English err pronunciation, this work cannot be annunciated properly.
Anywho. My dad has been worried about me for the past week. He thought it was strange I was so relaxed. Honestly, after writing over 10 different AoS essays, I was pretty sure I had most of the points in my mind today. I've been a cool as a cucumber :) alot of people have! Not memorising an essay paid off. I've never been good at memorising- I don't recommend it either, and today, not memorising an essay but writing off the top of my head paid off.
The fact that we had to write about ONE related texts did put me off a bit (I'm sure it put everyone off), because I felt like I could have outshined the rest of the state - I had prepared well for this new AoS, and I guess I'm just disappointed all that effort wasn't required. This is why I really hate english sometimes. It's like biology. You learn an entire section in the greatest detail hoping to nail it in the exam- and it doesn't appear in the paper.
But yeah, disappointment aside- just be glad they didn't ask for three (I KNOW- 100% unlikely), but I prepared one just incase? I was also super glad that the Section I was NOTHING like the Knox (?) paper. The one with the bald man... Haaa. Yeah.
I wish I had a better night of sleep though. I went to bed at around 12- was hoping to go to bed earlier, but I just wanted to read over everything twice before bed. Couldn't sleep. It wasn't nerves- it was just.. eugh hard to fall asleep in this weather. Too hot to be in the blankets and too cool to go without. I didn't dare open my eyes to look at the time at all- so I'm pretty sure I'm exaggerating when I say I couldn't sleep for hours. But I did in the end- and at 4.54am I was suddenly WIDE AWAKE. Why?! Normally I'd be in deep sleep at this hour. WHY?! Bathroom? No. Thirsty? No. Too warm? Nope. It had cooled down alot.
Then I heard it.
My dad left his bedroom door open, and I could hear his snoring. My door was shut and it was LOUD AS. So I creeped out into the hallway and closed his door- and went back to sleep. Slept like a baby until 6.45am when I am awoken by a text message.
I get out of bed and read it.
Don't know whether to scream or laugh.
Sorry Cabbage- I really, really, REALLY love my sleep in the morning and sometimes I'm unsure as to whether I'd choose my morning sleep over friends. :D Thanks for the gluck text.
Luckily enough- I was sleepy enough to fall right back into my slumber and slept until 7.30am.
WHT-
Got to school- waved. Half ambushed James (Z) - we were both unaware- I think we scared each other. lol. He was just lurking in the bushes and I happened to be walking past to greet the ex-birthday girl Lis. Handed her the equivalent to a box of roses, 3 easter bunnies, some Pepero, and some Lindt chocolate PLUS a hungry hungry hippo called Alice- exchanged hugs, complained about waking up, and boasted about being calm, etc you get my drift. Pre-exam hyping up time.
Skip Exam. Some BORING things happened- supervisors are kinda weird. I wish the school were more organised and would dish out a bit more money for extra supervisors...
After the exam, there was a complication in our column and sim and I were one of the last few people to leave the hall. It was already something like 11.47ish. Atrocious. We sat there for AGES waiting for the supervisor and she just NEVUR came- except .. before we left of course.
Exam buddies (Sim, Rex and Xining.. ooh Cat I guess) who are basically people who sit around me during the exams and while we're waiting for the supervisor to come, we sort of have some silent discussion about the exam question. Hot topic- one related text, etc. And the essay question- which made me think a lot more than usual. It wasn't as straightforward as I'd hoped, but at least it was just one related text? I sound like a hypocrite, but I mean that in two different ways- but now I'm just confusing myself....
When I was finally free, I think I had a stupid grin plastered on my face which somehow gave my dad (and probably Richard's M) the impression I super aced the exam. Super aced is not exactly it- but I was happy I was no longer stuck in that miserable JC Hoskin Auditorium. Exams in the hall suck. Richard's nose blowing echoes. Thank goodness we didn't have people eating M&Ms (lol Janet! Our convo this morning!).
Wow, I'm feeling quite verbose today. When I saw my friends, I just couldn't shut up today. Really. I had this urge to butt into people's conversation (stopped myself-luckily. lol) and to just jabber on about something unrelated.
AFTERWARDS, M, D and I went to Ewood for yumcha. Samantha.... you should have joined your mum, because she & some other R09 mothers ended up sitting on the table next to us... I stretched out my ear and heard some juicy gossip- not. I wish I could stretch my ears. Gad. I watched fantastic 4 recently- and its hilarious. My cousin thinks I have really bad taste in movies. He's probably right. eehh.
Then I see Michelle (L) while we're grocery shopping and she tells me GAZILLIONS (3 other people) of R09 folk went to Cafe de Macau to have lunch. :( At that point I was screaming "I KNEW IT, I KNEW IT" in my mind. Earlier that day, my dad and I were talking about where we were going to have lunch- and I was thinking of suggesting Cafe de Macau- but I didn't and let my M choose. Even boring places seem extremely enjoyable with friends. ♥ you guys. Not seeing you lot 5 days a week makes me an utterly stupid talker/babbler when I do see you. D:
Go home- have a serious talk with my parents about booking my freaking airplane tickets because they're being sold like hot potatoes and all the GOOD FLIGHTS WILL BE GONE. Called up a couple of places ( I thought I was fluent in cantonese- but freaking asian travel agents use freaking hard words I've never heard of before ) and found out ALL THE GOOD FLIGHTS ARE GONE. My dad is also very against M and I leaving on 21st Nov stopping at TP.
I'm annoyed. I don't see what's so bad about Taipei seeing as I'VE NEVER BEEN THERE. Forgive me for sounding retarded, but for once I want to experience something bad MYSELF. (and he sucks. when we were in tokyo, he said 100 yen shops were a waste of time, so we didn't even get to enter ONE STORE)
He doesn't trust asian airlines (except cathay & singapore) either, so he cancelled M's temporary booking- and booked for an expensive ticket that will take us to HK -> Shanghai. I'm annoyed. I didn't even want to go to SH. Going overseas with D is usually all about visiting relatives. We spent 3 weeks in SH once, and freaking hell- had dinner at home like 6 out of 7 days. MAJORLY PISSED OFF. There are plenty of good eats in China- WHY, OH WHY DO WE HAVE TO HOT POT EVERY NIGHT. I don't even speak minimal SH. Infact, I only know Xwords. lol. How do you do, thanks, telephone, toilet, SH, the address for our flat in SH, don't drink alcohol and don't smoke. THAT'S IT.
It is also cold, smelly and people on the roads drive like they are in some kind of super speedy race (don't keep up with racing. V8? ISNT THAT A JUICE- forgive my ignorance).. When the taxi drivers are turning a corner, they swerve. When they are changing lanes, they swerve. When they are driving in a straight line they freaking swerve. My life is always under constant threat in Shang-hai. I am afraid of crossing the road (heck, I'm paranoid in safe SYDNEY).
Gosh. Not only are the taxi's scary. Fights on buses... Swerving minibuses *cry*, cyclists who endanger the lives of motorists and pedestrians... The list is endless.
In China, I can't even buy a freaking tram ticket without being looked at funny. In HK I can haggle and pretend to be a local. (not really- haha apparently I dress really differently. weird trendy people in Asia)
But going back to what I was talking about before (lol... derailed...), I'm spending 2 wks in HK, 1 wk in SH (thank god) and maybe a week in Beijing. WOO my first time. However I'm leaving Syd 5/12/09 which means I'll miss the first proper item on the itinerary. boo. Coming back 10 Jan 10 I think. Just in time to suffer in the heat and kill my sun-deprived skin. (the sun does not shine in China... You can see it, but you can NEVER feel it- and it looks orange.. instead of like.. like. like looking into a lightbulb. Thanks ozone. Thanks.
Should stop now. I've written enough for 2 essays (wild guess). Today was fun, minus suffering the PMS rage of a certain female in the house. It was terrible. During dinner I was burned with a particular someone's eye-zap. ZZZ. Damn you MENSTRUAL CYCLE (I hope some of you shuddered reading that. I chortled imagining the shuddering. *creepy smile*)
ZZZ HAVE FUN WITH MOD A B AND C. ♥ mod C. :) LOVE IT

One day moreee
Haha. Pain in the ass.
This reminds me of what Joseph once wrote about...
***
So I've been up for approximately 6 hours today and have done close to no work. I'm trying to come up with another creative story- but it's so hard. I'm not feeling creative today. lol. Or ever.
*stabs eye* or not.
I am so incredibly bored. zzz.
GOOD LUCK TOMORROW- Tomorrow is a good er training period to get your hand all fit and strong for Friday.
Time to get my passport interview doneeee. Next time some racist idiot verbally assaults me on the train or something I can say something along the lines of "i'm not a terrorist you racist bastard, I passed my passport interview".
Gad I really hate racist people on trains.

Paranoia and Problems
By nature I think I'm a pretty curious person. When I come home from the docs I like to head straight to the computer and look up whatever disease/illness he has diagnosed. After I read the initial article on the illness, I always do something I shouldn't. I start clicking on hyperlinks scattered across the wikipedia article. I read and I don't stop, and in my mind, something as simple and stupid as a virus blows up into some deadly infectious disease. I think I fear death. Usually anyway. When I'm uber mad I decide that it's okay for a giant meteorite to hit the Earth at that moment. I simply don't care. But that changes after a couple of hours. I change my mind alot. I'm easily swayed.
Anyway, I am currently feeling quite smug- after going though my mod C essay, I realised how FANTASTIC I did (for my standards anyway), and I am totally and utterly inlove with The Justice Game. HARR! Unfortunately I do not seem to be very skilled in Shakespearean texts - despite owning three study guides (WHICH I INTEND TO SELL, Dearest year 11 readers), I cannot seem to grasp the full idea of Hamlet. The best study guide out of the three probably gives me too many ideas to consider- they all seem equally as good and it's so hard to find a point to talk about.
Speaking of selling books- I CANNOT WAIT UNTIL I GET RID OF ALL MY TEXTBOOKS/WORKBOOKS! Talked to D about selling them, and he thinks its a great idea- incase the syllabus changes or something. Why would I sell and not leave them for K? Quick cash to spend on my holiday and K prolly won't be taking the same subjects as mine.
WILL I BURN MY NOTES? Gladly, but I don't want to accidently set fire to the bushland nearby so I'll prolly just dump it in the recyling bin :D Gad, I have to stop thinking about getting rid of my notes before my exams start. Bahaha.
Dear everyone, don't forget to bring in math textbooks on the day of the math exams, and science on/by 2nd Nov?

Stuck into it
PS (I know this shouldn't be at the top- but it's important)- LEONA ZHANG WAS IN DOLLY MAG. ULTIMATE LULZ. ;D;D;D;D
HELLO EVERYONE.
For once, I don't think I have anything in particular to blog about. I have nothing really important to say (not that anything I say is ever important)- but all day I've just been thinking about economics... food... economics... biology.. food.. japanese... mm japanese food...
My internet was supposed to be uncapped this morning, but I had trouble accessing it in the afternoon so I spent most of that time studying. I realise it's actually not that hard to focus on the big desk in my room (the one D normally takes up) because the area is so big and I can just sort everything into piles.
I am a space hog.
I love nothing more than a BIG, WIDE, CLEAN area for me to work in. There was a time when I used to take the table cloth from the dining table and work on the clean wooden plank- but M forbade me. She said I took too much time putting everything together again when it was time for dinner. Honestly, I think a work table without a computer and annoying wires/cables is the optimum place for study- which is why the dining room is my favourite location.
Today M, D & K went to Bankstown.. or Blacktown.. or some place like that to get a haircut (apparently there is a good stylist there.. I just get mine cut at Ewood- Medusa. lol) and I had the whole house to myself for several hours. It was great. Well, it would have been better if my back yard neighbours (you know what I mean right? The people who share the same backyard fence as you..) didn't hold a party today that started at 12pm and ended at 9pm. FAR OUT. Who the hell holds outdoor parties that last 9 hours. :(
Normally, I love kids. But during HSC, I'd love nothing more than to shove a sock in each kid's mouth. It's so disrupting and piercing and euughh.
Oh - actually I have something to discuss now :) Brainwave. (btw, anyone tried Grainwaves? Are they any good?)
Loss... Death.. Grief. Whatever you want to call it. Do kids know it?
I remember my Aunt passed away eons ago when I was nothing but a hyperactive midget. I knew what happened to her. She wasn't playing hide and seek, she wasn't going away on a trip, I knew she had gone to a crematorium in a box and had been turned into ashes. I thought every kids knew... but apparently not.
I witnessed a sort of naivety I had NEVER imagined before. It was humourous at the time- no doubt; but in reality, I guess it was a bit sad. A little kid passed away, and the funeral soon came up. The kid used to live with his group of cousins (seriously- ALL THE SAME AGE) and they had grown up practically brothers and sisters. When the rest of the kids noticed he wasn't around anymore- there were questions, "mum, where is he?" "Dad, where's Ryan?" but pretty soon afterwards, they stopped asking and I thought they had forgotten about him already.
At the funeral, Ryan was carried in a white coffin, and like alot of traditional funerals, the lid was left off to let other people see his face one last time. Vincent was playing outside, but was watching through the windows and suddenly he started making a huge racket.
"RYAN! RYAN! MUM! MUM LOOK! RYAN IS IN THE WHITE BOX! WHY IS RYAN IN THE WHITE BOX!"
The other kids started joining in, asking similar questions until Vincent's mum went outside to hush them up. Later on, when they carried the coffin into the hearse, Vincent asked "Mum! Why are they taking him away?" no one answered him. I hate it when adults do that. TT__TT; seriously- for once, this kid asks a very valid question (he always gives me Ben10 pop quizzes) and no one replies.
After that he starts crying quietly which is unlike him. Vincent can be very sweet, but he's usually LOUD and obnoxious and very rude for a little kid (lol), and when he cries- he bawls loudly. D was worried by this, and asks him what's wrong. Everything thinks he realises Ryan won't come back and has gone to a possibly better place.. but what he said shocked everyone and I think made everyone laugh.
He said, "Ryan won't come out of the box to play with me."
Maybe it's just me, but .. eugh. it's so hard to find the right words to convey what I'm trying to say. Normally I'd believe NEVER to underestimate how much children understand- but I guess you shouldn't forget how naive they can be. It's cute, but sad. In this case- slightly morbid.
Children do forget though. I think Laura, Ryan's little sister, has sort of forgotten about him now.
Hm. I don't know how to end this post now. I don't normally write about this stuff I think- just found it a tad interesting.
Mmm. But a day of malfunctioning net, economics, bio and jap, left me lots of spare time to think about stuff I haven't thought about in a long while.
I can probably conclude that I was the smartest kid around. Unfortunately, I can't say the same now. XD
Hope you're all studying well! Hopefully I'll be able to visit KURA again this coming Monday :) Have a lovely Sunday everyone! (PHO TOMORROW!)

Little Luxuries
Because it's holiday time- I get to enjoy the luxury of sleeping in and spending at least 30 mins preparing/having breakfast. These past few days, I've been having an egg & ham sandwich with a bowl of cereal and a glass of milk- it's kept me going until lunch. No morning tea break- no snacking :O The wonders of eating breakfast. I normally skip cos I love my sleep in the morning and wake late everyday.
Question: Does anyone use the back of a spoon to spread stuff- ie like a butter knife to butter bread? A couple of years ago, our family & 2 others went on this camping trip up on the Central Coast. In the morning we had breakfast and my duty was to butter the toast. I instinctively reached out to grab a spoon and proceeded to dip it into the butter and used the back of the spoon to butter the bread. When the 4 kids from the 2 other families saw, they were like "wtf lol" and thought it was ridiculous. The fact is, I've done it my entire life. I rarely use a butter knife to butter bread. I think spoons are really useful because they're super versatile.
When I was at Singleton last year, I was again laughed at for being a spoon kinda person. My knife was made redundant. I never needed it. The edge of my spoon could cut, it could scoop, it could stab (I'm a master-spoon user) and well, it could shovel really well. I used it for porridge, cereal, cutting up puts of potato and pumpkin, scooping up peas, etc.
IS IT ONLY ME?!
WHAT I LOVE SPOONS!
1. Melt some butter in a hot frying pan.
2. Crack an egg onto it.
3. When it looks like the egg in the above picture, sprinkle a right amount of salt onto it.
4. Switch off the heat.
5. Use a ... what are they called.. a flat wooden spoon? (I used a fork) to flip it over and let it sizzle for a couple of seconds.
6. Serve

Standard Drinks - 1.1 approx
EDIT: I FOUND SOMETHING HILARIOUS
/ end edit
Yesterday’s post was well received and I was interested in what everyone had to say. It kind of reminded me of a particular bivouac where some current year 12s and I had this HUGE “what if” game. I decided to initiate the discussion because we were all really bored of walking on the path that seemed to never end.
The questions were like, “If you were a rape victim, and found out you were preggers, what would you do? Abort? Or keep it? (and hate it for the rest of your life”, stuff like that. I found the discussion super intense, and enjoyed having an “intellectual” conversation with good friends.
But I digress. Now is the time to be emotional and reflect on what has been happening during the past few days. We officially have 3 days of school left. On Monday, we will have our final assembly in periods 4&5 I think. On Tuesday, we’ll have our luncheon, and on Wednesday- the long awaited grade visit to Balmoral.
DSLR people such as Jero, Ben, Bosco and James will probably feel a tad unwilling to bring their lovely cameras to the beach- So I WILL DEFINITELY BRING MY CAMERA ON WEDNESDAY- I will charge my batts the night before, bring my SD card on the day, and I’ll purchase some spare AA batts from a convenience store the day before just incase to be fully prepared. I will be the unofficial year 12 camera woman.
Unless I’m the first to dive in and the last to come out, of course.
Forgive me if I sound like a gaylord in this post- I blame this strange behaviour on the side effects of writing in too many people’s “memoir” book. Having to write stuff like “lets try hard to keep in touch” and “I’ll really miss you” and “the past few years has been super duper fun with you around” really does trigger some sort of emotional chain reaction. First I feel aware that I really might not stay in touch with a good friend- not being able to be there to talk things out, make fun and bitch. Then sad, because I then realise how much I’ll be missing out, and a bit remorseful because I should have gotten to know them earlier.
There are many of you I wish I started talking to earlier. I would have had much more fun- I could have so much more fun in the earlier years of high school- but I missed out. I think everyone’s just trying to make up for lost time right now. We’re very LOUD now X) and every now and then you see cameras flash everywhere- people signing books, embracing each other, huddling in groups and posing. D: Seeing all this makes it feel VERY real- and I can’t believe we’ll stop being year 12s on Wednesday.
OHMAGAD!
Ahahaha. So it all begins now. No more school. After the HSC, people will be starting university, working their way towards their career. Today I got a letter from the firm- it was like a wake up call. I start work on February 8th. It doesn’t seem that far away anymore. I don’t know what I’m going to DO in my position. I won’t have a timetable. I won’t be going to class. I’ll be making my own decisions and making decisions on behalf of clients and gad- it’s starting to sound so daunting right now. Suddenly, I feel like someone’s been pressing the ffwd button on the remote but it’s too late now. Time waits for no man.
Moving on, today was a great day. Let’s see..
WHAT HAPPENED TODAY?!
Morning: Learnt single ladies dance. I think we’ve pretty much finished. I have no idea what we are going to wear though. D: Skin tight clothes like leggings make me feel arrrgh. The thought of seeing Phat in a leotard is also quite arrrgh. lol
Eco: Productive-ish. We’re always going through past papers, so I feel more confident answering questions in papers. It’s great.
Jap: 2nd period was kind of boring. Wait- no it wasn’t. IT WAS HIGHLY ENTERTAINING thanks to Alanine Nogo who visited our class during his free. I took a video of his slap game with Chris Au and well- it was highly entertaining. One day when I have more internet, I will post it onto youtube. At the moment, I feel like I should be more conservative with my internet usage because it’s ages until we get speedy internet.
English: By 3rd period it felt like lunch or recess already. I don’t know why, but English felt like it dragged on for eons.
Recess: I have no idea what happened during recess. Completely forgot.
Double free: Kicked a ball around with some fellow free-ers and also posed lots for flashing cameras belonging to Bosco and Jero. I’m sure a lot of gaytarded photos were taken of me today. This used to bother me a lot- but now I think I enjoy it. It takes a lot less effort to look strange (or “attractive”) than to smile. Plus they look funny and make people laugh- so it’s all good. [John also likes to look strange… *hi5*]. THEN THE BBQ HAPPENED. YAY. We all just treated it as a huge luvo/photo taking session, and yes. It was great. Ms Jenns made a heart warming mini speech which made me cling onto the person next to me more tightly (WHO WAS IT? Lulu or Sam..) and made me feel the urge to take more photos. haha.
Lunch: The legendary 11 vs 12 soccer game. Which I mostly missed D: I KNOW! Apparently it was really good- but I was too busy chatting to my loveliest mentorees and taking photos with them. Grats to year 12, and to all my year 11 readers (c. yip j.chen) suck on that :) Better luck next year!
Maths: A fun no-work-done/Party lesson where Mr Woo just played guitar with Topher while Yoon sang. Borbor/Thomas/Quentin were playing with Mayer’s Document image thingy (er modern projector. what the hell is it called? I can’t catch up with technology anymore), and there should be pictures of us on the internal memory. lol.
Then for the last free, most of us just crashed the 3u math corridor party. I kidnapped Bosco’s camera for a short while and took happy snaps- The Viet crew, individual faces, Ameya’s face, other faces… you get the idea.
Jazzog (Jazz09) had it’s final rehearsal today. We probably spent more time taking photos then actually singing. I’ve enjoyed spending time with Jazz09- got to know people I wouldn’t have talked to much in school. I don’t think we’re exactly an utterly tight knit group- but I sorta hope we don’t disband- but stay together and sing every now and then. All those auditioning for school spec- best of luck. I won’t be able to make it (and sort of sick of performing- I’m not really an ideal performer).
Currently typing this up on word- my net is gay and isn’t functioning properly the way it should. Hmm. My face is slightly red and I think I look scary. In future I will not purchase alcopops because they are simply not worth it. This lemon flavoured one I have just consumed tasted and looked like solo. If my face hadn’t turned a shade of light pink- well, I would assume that someone tried to rip me off. But I feel ripped off anyway. From now on I’ll purchase solo.
OHMYGAD what a long post. More than 2 pages on word now D:
PHOTO CREDITS- some to Drew. He was fiddling with my camera when I dumped it for Bosco's sleek dslr. :)
Hope I do something interesting this weekend. Went out to Cabra last weekend for Pho and looking at dresses (I've never winced so much in one day)- NEED TO EXERCISE. Lol. Have a good weekend all!

CHANGING PERSPECTIVES
Finger still hurts- but that won’t stop me from typing. Didn’t end up getting x-ray because dad booked for the weekend (I thought he said “tomorrow” yesterday- but I heard wrong apparently). Damn.
Today, being the genius I am, I forgot to slip my SD card into my camera…again. YEAH- Humdiho. Oh well. Lots of photos were taken today on other cameras because it was MUFTI and prefect luncheon for outgoing prefects. Ladilaah.
Who’s up for a mini-discussion?
5-10 years down the road- you’ve been going out with your significant other half for a few years, don’t feel like getting married, but perhaps moving in together feels appropriate? Would you move in together before you get married? or after?
Back when I was a kid, I’d immediately think “AFTER MARRIAGE OF COURSE!” because that’s what my parents have always said. However, I know a lot of other people who would reject that because it was highly “impractical”. Their argument was that the longer you live with someone, the more you know about them (i.e. annoying habits, conflicting perspectives, moral values, etc) and from that you can decide whether you want to spend the rest of your life with them.
It makes sense when you think about it like that.
From my parents point of view- this is something you should find out/know without having to live with them for a certain amount of time. A girl/woman should be er “untainted” before marriage, and I guess a couple moving in together does suggest err- you know what I mean. I bring this up because recently, I think one of my cousins wanted to go on an overseas trip with her bf but my aunt said “NO DEFINITELY NOT” and gave the above reason.
Dootdidoot.
I’m not saying that moving in together definitely means night time activities will occur (like the movies teach us- they can happen anywhere, anytime) but I guess it seems that way from a third person’s perspective. “You shouldn’t care about what other people think.” Regardless of however many times people say this to me, it will rarely happen. How people perceive you affects how they treat you.
Tell me what you think. I understand the arguments on both sides- valuing different things. My parents view sounds a bit.. materialistic? But it’s something I think I’ll value, while the other view sounds very practical and.. er open I guess.
Speaking of changing attitudes, here’s something funny I noticed on the way to school a couple of days ago. Some junior girls with miniscule skirts walked past the crossing and my dad made a disapproving tsk sound while shaking his head muttering something like “kids these days” under his breath. Hahaha. I think I’m a younger version of my dad. I walk past shops like supre and see some tiny strips of fabric sold as “skirts” and I can’t help but think “you might as well go without”. Ahh conservative for the win. Showing too much skin is not necessary – but I’m finding it becoming accepted by society more nowadays.
Time to compare? I was watching a HK documentary about prostitution and I noticed the clothes that prostitutes wear can easily be found in an Australian girl’s wardrobe. When I was watching, I had NO idea the girls were prostitutes. I thought they were normal girls and I was waiting for the part where some guy injects them with heroin and turns them into completely hopeless beings and witnessing their change from normal -> hooker. But they were already in hooker mode/clothing which was quite an eye opener.
In other words, I could rock up to a restaurant in HK in my singlet top and denim skirt + flip flops, and declare I was a hooker without anyone doubting me.
Dootdidoot. Okay I have nothing else to say. The fact that I almost said I dress like an Asian hooker kind of left me speechless.
OHMYGAWD SO LITTLE DAYS AT RUSE LEFT
Ooh Some photos from our Cadet dinner :)
We went on Monday night (21st September) to a place called Steamboat in Epping. It's in the genesis building. Meal? Basically an all-you-can-eat-hotpot. SUITED ME PERFECTLY. I could ate lots.

Exhaustion = Satisfaction
When I'm working really hard, I don't usually notice how tired I am until I sit down. Today, I think I stood up for about 4 hours running frantically from one side of the kitchen to the other, tending to the fluffy butter, the preheating oven and the simmering ganache. Haha. When I sat, I felt TIRED. Then I sat to decorate.
Yes. I BAKED AGAIN.
Dearest Bleb, I love you lots! I hope you have a REALLY nice birthday today - showered with gifts and really, really nice heartfelt messages, cos y ou deserve it! ♥
I don't think I have that much to say now. Except Happy Birthday to both SIM and YUN. I LOVE YOU BOTH LOTS- HAVE A GOOD ONE!!!
To everyone else, thanks for the uber nice comments these few days. It's really turning me into an arrogant baker. Hehehe. But I'm going to stop again soon. My dad can't stand the sight of chocolate everywhere. He's becoming obese (and should stop eating altogether..jokes) and needs to cut down on food consumption- esp cakes/chocolates. Lol.
I always bake cake and cookies because I only have a flat tray, a round springform tin and a cupcake tray. I DON'T HAVE A BROWNIE TRAY. WUT! My mum will never get me one.
M: *sai hey lah! Gor di yeh dou mm how sik gah* (don't waste your breath- those things aren't nice to eat)
B: O_O
Usually, I can't come up with a good response. I'm shocked. As if brownies aren't nice. They're like FLAT SOFT CAKES MAN. Usually chocolate and nutty too *drools*. I love brownies. :) Bake me some Lee-Anne. I know you're a genius at this stuff.
WOOOO
So this ends my crazy woman-in-the-kitchen post.
I hope you all enjoyed the pictures (and I hope some of you will enjoy the cake tomorrow)
KEEPSAFE, TAKECARE, AND SNAPSOMEPICS
Oh and send me your babyphotos everyone in R09 for final assembly!
mmmmm time to eat left over marshmellos

Chatswood, Birkenhead Point, Fish Markets
HELLO EVERYONE.
Hope you all had a nice weekend. I finished my weekend off quite satisfactorily (if that's a word).
This morning, I woke late, and drove to Chatswood to meet up with 2 fair maidens. From there, we frolicked to and fro sections in Myer trying on stuff. Maybe I'm just really picky, but I didn't see much I liked there~ quite different to a couple of years ago.
Then we head to Birkenhead Point to meet lovely Sharon and find a City Beach which has cheapcheap stuff. Visited other shops, stopped for lunch, I branched off, went to fish market and bought a friggin huge atlantic salmon and got it cut up sashimi style, drove home and had a really, really nice sashimi dinner.
Pics galore - must go to Lee-Anne's blog when she posts (hopefully sometime soon). We had alot of fun at citybeach trying on funny hats.
