Yesterday night I WAS SO BORED after I came home and rested for a bit. Should have stayed at Parra for longer- D: But because I didn't, I discovered where my dad hides his SLR.
In this mangy old box. :D ANd now- PHOTO SPAM. Artefacts are fun
He hasn't touched it in years. It is his.. baby I guess. He probably loves it more than us. This conversation happened yesterday- when I confronted him.
B: D! LOOK WHAT I FOUND!
*thrusts SLR in his face*
D: OH MY GOD
*grabs camera*
D: THAT IS NOT HOW YOU HOLD A CAMERA- You'll break it. PUT IT AWAY
B: Not before you teach me how to use it.
D: Never.

D: NEVER.

He wants it somewhere where someone will take care of it properly and not mess it up (ie, not me). I wonder what price it will go for 8-) But yeah. It's cool. OH FORGOT TO TAKE PICS OF THE FLASH THINGY. It look's like Bosco's bro's camera's extendable flash thing. You just slot it into the top- need two giant 1.5v batteries and voila, INSTANT BLINDNESS. It's so fun.

My dad has a Canon he bought in 1988 when he came to Australia, I think. I'll give it a spin someday. Shame you're not holding onto that one though, looks awesome.
And I don't think it's illegal to take photos in retail stores, just that the store would rather you not.

If we all chip in like 10 bucks as a group and buy it off ebay....

@James: Ahh this camera has been with my dad for AGES and ages when he was a wannabe photographer. At home we have cartons of "model shoots" with random people posing on weird landscapes. Bahaha. Film camera = costly ==;
@Shaun: LOL! D has such high hopes. He thought it would be worth as much as he paid for it (eons ago) He was so disappointed when I showed him on ebay some were worth <$100 I don't think he's going to end up selling it.

I don't think anyone wants to buy it anyway. lol it's just an old piece of metal with lots of pieces of contoured glass and twisty things that carry lots and lots of memories. :) DSLR's are more fun, though I have to say, the focus twisty part of slr cameras are VERY fun to play with.
@Z-hang: haaaa. well. yeah. I know in clothes stores they don't like people taking photos- cost it's like stealing ideas, and what not. so hm might be related to that.. (not that there's anything to steal...) but the sec guard was looking at me funny. XD IM ALWAYS CAMERA TRIGGER HAPPY!!!

This is so un-camera related, although what someone said about everyone's dads having one, I think my dad does somewhere too haha.
I WANT TO SEE TIMETRAVELLERS WIFE AS WELL. Swami said he wanted to go on Thursday but you still have exams yes :(? I can't go on thursday either so come with me when you're done ;)
